sebenernya saya judul blog itu cuma curhatan saya yang tadi g solat subuh karena saya tidur terlalu kaya kebo. Saya tidur tadi malem sekitar jam 11, saya bangun jam 8 kuranglah. Saya sebenernya ‘g sengaja’ bangun karena ada sms dari temen saya. Ya.  Sms. Setelah saya liat hp saya ternyata ada tulisan (4) new messages. Ko bisa ngga kedengeran ya ? padahal message alertnya Paranoid – Jonas Brother yang kenceng bgt suaranya. Hmm, ternyata saya memang kebo.

Setelah bangun, saya stay di kasur selama kurang lebih 25 menit. Kenapa ? karena nyawa saya belum terkumpul a.k.a masih males buat bangun soalnya bed cover kasur saya baru di ganti hahahahaha.

Abis beresin tempat tidur, saya langsung mandi, menyambar handuk, menuju kamar mandi.

Udah mandi, kamar udah bersih, sisanya tinggal sarapan. Sewaktu saya menghampiri meja makan, saya hanya menemukan roti, mentega, dan mezes. lalu saya buat roti isi. Sambil makan saya twitting, dan ternyata saya udah ketinggalan beberapa topik, ckckck, jaman memang harus cepat kalo g ketinggalan jaman. Karena bukan jamannya ketinggalan jaman, hehe.

Karena saya khawatir bosan saya akhirnya memutuskan untuk browsing, buka twitter, buka fb, ol ym, dll. Tentunya d komputer, ngga mungkin d hp butut. Ya . Hp butut. Ngomong2 soal Hp, saya ingin mempunyai hp baru tapi berhubung keuangan saya menipis sampai di dompet tinggal 12 ribu, saya hanya berangan-angan. Saya ingin Samsung Corby, Saya ingin LG GW 300, ingin blackbary storm, huaaaaaaaa. hahahha saya banyak maunya.

Eh kemaren saya liat2 www.crocs.com, dan saya melihat model baru crocs, komentar saya biasa aja sih. Tapi ada yg saya sukai yaitu Crocs santa cruz, bentuknya keren lo. Tapi karena keuangan saya menipis saya hanya bisa beli crocs cayman, crocs beach, crocs disney edition.

Udah dulu ah, cape. Ntar klo saya posting macem2 takut kena UU ITE. Ntar nasib saya sama kaya Luna Maya dan Prita Mulyasari. Tapi ntar ada koin keadilan buat andas ga ya?

Making confusion possible–GLOBE.

Last Tuesday, I decided to apply for a new postpaid account and avail Globe’s Blackberry bundle with SuperSurf for BB Service. BlackBerry Super Surf is actually an add-on to your existing plan, which offers unlimited browsing and BB service for only Php 2,000.00/mo.

My handset was only activated yesterday, despite the commitm

ent that it will be activated within 24 hours. Anyway, as soon as my Curve is ready, I downloaded all the BB Apps that I need (e.g. FB, Twitter, Gmail, Google Maps, and YM) and enjoyed my 24/7 unlimited mobile internet service.

I was so hooked to it that my BB Curve is practically glued on my hand.

In the midst of sending YM messages, a friend sent some wonderful news over BBM (BlackBerry Messenger)–that Globe is going heads on with Smart and is offering their unlimited BB Su

perSurf service for only Php 1,200.00/mo.

Of course, at first I was happy, but when I let the news sink in, I realized that I was duped. Imagine, my BB Service was activated only yesterday and my BBSS rate is at Php2,000.00/mo yet now they are giving it for Php1,200.00/mo?

So, I quickly called CSR and inquired about my case. During my first call, the CS Rep told me that my BBSS Service billing for this month will be AUTOMATICALLY pro-rated. Meaning, for the first two days (yea, they count starting on the day of application even if I have made use of the service just yesterday!) they would use the Php2,000.00/mo rate and for the rest of the 28 days, the Php1,200.00/mo rate is applied. With this, my computation goes for Php1,253.00 for my BBSS for this month. The CSR never mentioned any termination fee/downgrade fee of Php 1,000.00

I was happy and contented with the news until I saw a Twitter Message from INQ. This is an article on the new Php1,200.00/mo BBSS rate, below is the shocking excerpt:

“Users can get unlimited access to several push email, instant messaging services, and social networking sites. Among these are Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Windows Live, facebook, Multiply, Flickr, and Twitter.

Blackberry applications, such as Blackberry Maps and its messenger service, are also included in the service.

But the service does not include Internet browsing, which will be charged separately. For postpaid users, they will be charged 15 centavos per kilobyte while prepaid users will be charged P5 every15 minutes of usage.”

I was actually shocked at this BBSS disclaimer and tried to reconfirm it from CSR. Of course, I wanted to avail of the cheaper unlimited rate, but I wouldn’t want to compromise my unlimited browsing package. What’s the point of having an unlimited SuperSurf service if the sites are only limited?! >:(

To add to the damage, my second call was horrible. It shows that Globe was not able to efficiently align all its new promos to its CSR and even to its Business Centers. In fact, the 2nd CS Representative started telling me that if I wanted to avail the Php1,200.00/mo rate, it shows a downgrade and hence I should pay THE TERMINATION FEE of Php1,000.00.

WOW. Lady, are you crazy??? From where I’m standing, my BB service was only activated yesterday. Now that you are presenting this at Php1,200.00/mo rate, you want me to pay you Php1,000.00 for DOWNGRADE FEE? Look who’s bluffing.

I was outraged by this and went straight to a Business Center to clarify and contest what Globe is trying to do here. Even the folks are GBC were not fully aware of the policies. It took about a good 30-40 minutes for them to answer me, and told me that (1) my bill will be pro-rated (just like CSR 1 told me) since all new subscribers from Dec 1 until Dec 17 are pro-rated; and (2) that there is no change/limitations on the Php1,200.00/mo BBSS, meaning browsing is still included. So now I am confused, is the INQ article fooling us now?

Nevertheless, I can sense that there are uncertainties since as they say: “Ma’am, kakalabas palang kase nito e…” and all the “yata” they were adding in their statements. Hence I was left unsatisfied and with a BIG QUESTION MARK ON MY FACE.

Wow Globe. You’re unbelievable. As one of the sharks in the TelCo industry, you should know that this should not happen. I still have two questions in mind:

(1) So what’s my billing now? Is it pro-rated or what?

(2) With the Php 1,200.00/mo, is internet browsing really charged separately? Because this actually defeats the purpose of your tagline “Web Surfing na Walang Metro! SUPER SURF!” and “Surf all you can with no worries on your bill”

I would really appreciate if someone from GLOBE will answer these questions as I know most BBSS users are having the same thoughts.

UPDATE: I received a reply from Globe and said: Hi. For old super surf subscribers, charges will be prorated since the price is now lowered to PHP1200.Thanks!

Several weeks ago, I talked about some
of the things that have led this rally off
the March lows. These included banks,
technology, and the artificially low
interest rate environment. I also
talked about the fact that the banks
were no longer leading the markets
higher which leaves technology and
interest rates. Technology continues
to lead but keep an eye out if that
changes as that could be strike two.

On Friday, after a better than expected
unemployment number, the market spiked
initially higher but suddenly realized what
Fed chairman Bernanke had said the day
prior. In a nutshell, the Fed said interest
rates would begin to move higher with
improvement in the jobs picture. The
equity markets erased those early gains
in short order. This was just a small
taste, in my opinion, of what may
come when interest rates begin to
rise and those that borrowed against
the US dollar to purchase equities
and commodities such as gold are
forced to unwind those positions.
Keep your eyes on these remaining
legs for a heads up on the next
potential big move. Of course,
if our friend the Hindenburg Omen
comes calling it may be all over but
the crying.

1:12 am and I’m still up! I’m chatting with Kpop-addict friend (let’s now call her Kimmy) on YM. We’ve been chatting for like 2 hours! She “PM”-ed me on Facebook about 2 hours ago. She asked for my cellphone number so she could text me about Kpop updates (this girl is an addict, you know). Then she told me a story on how she met Kim Bum!

She said that when she heard that Kim Bum was coming to the Philippines, she got so hyped up that she immediately called her uncle who was friends with the president of RC Cola, the product that would be endorsed by Kim Bum. She asked for the president’s number and dialled it as soon as her uncle hung up. She was able to talk with the president; however, the president said he didn’t handle Kim Bum’s schedule, and that it would be better if she would just contact ABS-CBN since they were going to interview Kim Bum in one of their programs.

So Kimmy called up her friend, Sara, who had some friends working in ABS-CBN. Kimmy contacted one of them and found out that Kim Bum would be guesting at “Entertainment Live.” Bad news was that Sara’s friend was working in the news department and not in the entertainment department. Good news was that despite all that, Kimmy never lost hope. Moments later, while desperately thinking of how she could meet Kim Bum, Kimmy heard her phone ringing. Her uncle, who was a friend of RC Cola’s president, was calling her! He told her to meet him at Gerry’s Grill just in-front of the ABS-CBN complex! Kimmy was so excited, she called up her friend Carly, and together they went to Gerry’s Grill just as her uncle had said.

There outside Gerry’s Grill was the van of Valerie Concepcion (host of “Wowowee”), and Kimmy’s uncle was waving at them to get inside! He even introduced them to Director Bubut Mortiz! By riding Valerie Concepcion’s van, Kimmy and Carly were able to enter the ABS-CBN compound and watch “Wowowee.” (Kimmy even showed me the album while telling this. She’s got a lot of pictures of Willie Revillame and Pokwang!)

After “Wowowee,” Kimmy and Carly got out of the studio along with the myriads of people who had just watched the show. The two of them tried to get into the studio of “Entertainment Live” next but the crew wouldn’t let them. So Kimmy and Carly stayed outside at the parking lot, waiting, hoping. Minutes later, a huge van stopped just a few meters away. Coming out of the van were a lot of what looked like personal bodyguards. They opened one of the van doors and let someone out. Then they walked toward the gate, toward the studio, toward them! In the middle of this troop of bodyguards was a small familiar figure which was no other than Kim Bum!!! Kimmy was like “OMG!!! This is just unbelievable!!!”

Kim Bum passed by them and entered the gates, still accompanied by his battalion of bodyguards, while Kimmy and Carly were left outside. Nonetheless, it seemed that Kimmy was lucky after all because at that moment Director Bubut saw them from the gates and immediately let them in. So in the end they were still able to watch “Entertainment Live” and catch the whole interview of Kim Bum! Moreover, Kimmy was able to take a lot of pictures of her ultimate crush, even though it was prohibited.

After narrating her obviously long story, Kimmy asked for my YM ID. I logged in on YM and now we’re still talking about Kpop, Korean dramas, SuJu, Kyuhyun, Donghae, and all her celebrity addictions, even Michael Jackson! We even talked about her ex-boyfriend and how her wide collection of Korean dramas helped her get through her depression.

It feels good. I genuinely feel happy right now that someone who I was not so close with at school is opening up herself to a complete stranger like me, telling stories about herself, her passions, and her struggles with her friends. During this conversation, I learned a lot of things about Kimmy. Gosh, she really did have a lot of crushes at school! I feel happy that somehow we managed to connect to each other through what seems like a very petty thing like our love for Kpop. I’m glad that I found someone who shares the same “likes” as I do. I’m so happy to have this Kpop-addict friend. So glad to have Kimmy.

As you know, the YM hit our 10,360 target last
week.  This was a big decision area as it was
the 50% retrace off the March lows.  Anything
can happen at this point.  It looked as if a rally
into the end of the year  was inevitable.

Then, news that Dubai would  have to delay its debt
payments rocked the markets.  The ES and YM sold off
back down to their daily 13s support.

Remember last week I said that we would likely be in some
consolidation with a potential spike up or down
that would settle back in the consolidation range.
Well, this is exactly what we have now.  The question
is, which way will they go from here?

Watch to see what market structures set up now in
the ES and YM.  Chances are a breakout of the consolidation
will happen off of one of  these market structure triggers.

Yoono is great because you don’t need all those tabs open and you can update several profiles at the same time.

I installed Yoono as a Firefox add-on initially but its taking up lots of memory and causing Firefox to crash. Obviously it could make Firefox crash because I connected Yoono with Facebook, Myspace, Flickr, Twitter, GTalk, YM and imeem. I downloaded the desktop app instead so it would take up its own memory separate from my browser. It is so convenient! I agree with all the reviews they got! If only they support Plurk, Tumblr and WordPress, they will be the coolest app I’ve ever downloaded for free!. Thats it! five stars for Yoono!
