ok its taken a while to find these pics but here we go

Reshimu is a small comunity centre/ cafe in the nachlaot/ Share Chesed area of Jerusalem. From what I have understood it is based on religious ideals and Chasidic teachings. This is the second concert I have been to there but the first with a camera.

Yonatan was playing on his own with the support of his bassist Naor and drummer. He is a classicly trained musician and all his music has the feel of a true pro running throughout the performance swithing effortlessly between guitar piano and chello even during a song. His music is soulful and ful of yearning for happiness.

He performed most of the songs from his first disc plus a few new songs, including Vehi Sheomda wich he sang with Yaackov Shweki during Shwekis Ceaserea performance in September of 2008.

After the concert I went behind the scenes to say hello to this lovley young man whom I have now photographed on several occaisions to be greeted with a big smile and a hug.

I think we can expect huge things from this singer songwriter in the years to come

I plan in the near future to write a few ords about the Shweki concert and post some pics from the event, even though it was so long ago a dvd of the event has recntly be release so now would be a great time to post
