Yoono – Useful Multi-task Tool – Yoono is an Internet plug-in that creates a sidebar on your browser (but you can decide if you want it visible or not). You can pick from 10 social networks that you update or follow the most. After putting in your settings, Yoono shows all updates on the social networks you chose to view and any RSS feeds you follow. Yoono is great because you don’t need all those tabs open and you can update several profiles at the same time.

I installed Yoono as a Firefox add-on initially but its taking up lots of memory and causing Firefox to crash. Obviously it could make Firefox crash because I connected Yoono with Facebook, Myspace, Flickr, Twitter, GTalk, YM and imeem. I downloaded the desktop app instead so it would take up its own memory separate from my browser. It is so convenient! I agree with all the reviews they got! If only they support Plurk, Tumblr and WordPress, they will be the coolest app I’ve ever downloaded for free!. Thats it! five stars for Yoono!

Petit état de l’art de mes usages des outils dits 2.0

De plus en plus, sans m’en rendre compte, j’ai utilisé mon profil Facebook comme on peut utiliser un blog : faire état régulièrement de mes flâneries sur le réseau. Gros avantage de Facebook : savoir que je m’adressais au minimum à “mes amis”, mon réseau social constitué de personnes dont je connaissais le visage, et parfois, souvent, que j’avais rencontré dans la “vraie” vie ! Cela changeait des billets du blog qui devaient être lus – des statistiques l’attestant – des commentaires le démontrant… mais par qui ?

Anonyme blog et Facebook vivant… raison de son succès fulgurant ?

D’autres outils, je testais  : delicious,  machin + bidule, et twitter, évidemment et ses flux incessants… difficile à suivre, enfin, pour moi… difficile de concentrer mes tentatives de penser en 140 caractères, résumer en un message pertinent… Fils de discussion, morceaux de tchats… j’abandonnais, revenant de temps en temps sur twitter, pour voir, pour savoir quels étaient les sujets en discussion…

J’avais relié pourtant, j’ai toujours ce twitter relié avec mon compte Facebook et mon compte Friendfeed. Pour publier sur mon facebook au boulot bloqué par proxynator, je passais par twitter qui, sagement, allait parsemer mon profil.

Dans ce maëlstrom d’outils et de sites, j’en vins même à installer une plateforme de mutalisation de tout mes comptes et de tous ses outils, ne m’y retrouvant plus en définitive, tenant une liste infernale de mots de passe que j’oubliais implacablement. J’expérimentais alors Yoono… ce fût l’explosion… les informations du monde, les flux me parvenaient en permanence. Tel le trader qui regarde défiler les chiffres sans cesse changeants, les paroles de chacun arrivaient… Je n’arrivais plus à me concentrer sur ce que je faisais… parce qu’évidemment, les paroles qui émanaient de mes amis me distrayient, m’emmenaient vers d’autres pistes. Et petit à petit, les chemins enchevêtrés me firent perdre le nord.

Mince… Simplifions, me dis-je ?

Ah ce Facebook, tant décrié.  ;)      Facebook, pays des smyleys ; contrée des j’aime, j’aime plus. Bref, j’ai délaissé ce blog… infidèle. Pris par la facilité de recenser rapidement mes découvertes, je n’écrivais plus ici. Ai de nouveau envie d’écrire, de synthétiser toutes ces expériences hétéroclites.

Donc, voilà où j’en suis, aujourd’hui :

un Google reader, un agrégateur de flux RSS,  pour suivre l’actualité quotidiennement et faire une veille personnelle, même si ensuite, elle devient partagée (Chaque outil devenant dorénavant un réseau social) ;

un netvibes, d’abord privé puis public, pour une veille publique. Cette présentation sous forme de widgets que je trouve si pertinente pour présenter des fils d’Ariane de manière très graphique pour le grand public ;

un profil Facebook pour partager des découvertes au fil de l’eau, garder des contacts, prendre des nouvelles de ses amis, effectuer une veille publique avec et pour ses amis…

Un profil Facebook aussi pour mélanger des cercles d’amis disparates, mélanger les étiquettes qui finissent toujours par nous coller à la peau (geek, discothécaire, auteur de BD…) au lieu de voir la personne dans sa totalité ;

Un profil Facebook (même si il y a trois fois un profil facebook, je parle toujours du même et hop un smiley !) pour l’aspect “fan”. Quel fabuleux outil pour créer la page des amateurs d’un auteur… Travailler sur ces pages, comme si l’on créait une bibliographie exhaustive (réflexe ancestral du bibliothécaire – fichiers, listes – penser, classer, ordonner). Désirs de précisions…Otletiser ? Otletiser = vouloir, désirer, souhaiter ( !)… organiser tout le savoir du monde… ou du moins une partie…

Utilisation d’un blog pour causer des révolutions de notre profession et d’autres blogs pour parler de ses passions artitistiques, littéraires…

Participer à des aventures collectives comme Wikipédia…ou Babelio

Lire des oeuvres contemporaines et d’emblée numériques sur publie.net

Et, besoin vital, dans ce dédale foisonnant et passionnant, de relire aussi, en plus des blogs, les classiques de notre profession pour imaginer un nouveau modèle de bibliothèque : hybride ou pas. Lire Eugène Morel, des histoires de bibliothèques, des cercles de la librairie, pour se confronter à ce qui se passe en ce moment, ici et maintenant…

Ecrire sous son nom propre ou avec un  pseudo… sans désir aucun d’égotisme… juste le souhait de partager, de dire, de demander : et vous, et vous, qu’est-ce que vous en pensez ?

Et vous, où en êtes vous avec ses outils dits 2.0 ? Vos veilles ? Vos désirs de bibliothèques ?

Creo que una frase generalizada de nuestro tiempo es ” ¿ Te da tiempo a leer todas las actualizaciones de cada una de las Redes Sociales?” está claro que no.

Si bien el producto estrella sería aquel que cada día me subrayase aquello que me va a resultar interesante…pero claro leer la mente creo que todavía es imposible…

Lo que si están empezando a surgir son productos que te agregan toda la actividad de tus diferentes redes para hacerte más fácil el dar un vistazo a lo que ha acaecido en las últimas horas.

A mi personalmente me gusta Yoono.

Principalmente me gusta porque es de fácil instalación y para agregar redes sólo tienes que agregar el icono. Además para usarlo no tienes que registrarte tan sólo te lo instalas y ya te aparece a la derecha del navegador.

Un pero, cada vez que alguien actualiza algo te aparece un mensaje (como cuando alguien se conecta al messenger)…aunque se puede quitar ya que teniendo en cuenta el nivel de actividad de algunos podría ser una locura.

Instale o programa Yoono no seu computador. É muito prático. Você cria um cantinho na lateral esquerda na tela do computador e pode optar por acompanhar por ali as redes sociais: MSN, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, MySpace, GTal, FriendFeed, Yahoo Chat, entre outros. Pode até acompanhar os seus e-mails (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail e outros), tudo em tempo real.

Pasa el tiempo y vas conociendo a más gente,  van surgiendo más redes sociales y ves que cada vez es más costoso gestionarlo todo. Así que llevaba tiempo buscando un programa que me convenciera en el que poder gestionarlo todo.

La solución me ha llegado con Yoono,  un plugin de Firefox. Gracias a este complemento puedes gestionar tus cuentas de Facebook, Twitter, Friendfeed, Messenger, Google Talk, etc. La lista completa aparece en el enlace. Además permite compartir imágenes, links, videos con mucha facilidad.

Lo  que me gusta de este complemento es que hace lo que promete, funciona bien y rápido.

Lo siguiente que me ha llamado la atención es lo bien integrado que está con Firefox. Mientras navegamos nos aparece en la parte izquierda de la pantalla una barra vertical que no molesta nada (en mi opinión)

Si te llega algún aviso mientras navegas, en la barra lateral te pone el número de mensajes y en la esquina inferior derecha aparece un pequeño rectángulo en el aparece quien envía el mensaje y de que red.

Si quieres ver el mensaje, solo tienes que pinchar en la barra en el símbolo >>. A continuación aparece un desplegable:

Si quieres compartir una página mientras navegas es muy fácil: sólo con pulsar el botón Share ya te aparece un pequeño recuadro con el enlace y la lista de tus redes sociales. Selecionas la red social y ya sólo queda enviar.

Además, permite enviar fotos y videos, articulos de la Wikipedia, etc. El procedimiento es muy similar al anterior, únicamente tenemos que entrar en el icono de la lupa.

Vengo usando Yoono desde que salió. Me parece una estupenda herramienta para mantenerte al día de lo que sucede en tus redes sociales. Aún le faltan algunas redes interesantes, pero se integra con facebook, twitter, myspace, flickr, aim, yahoo messenger, google talk y msn de forma tal que facilita la comunicación en un mismo entorno, consigue que de un vistazo rápido pueda visualizar qué ocurre.

También quiero destacar la opción Share que permite compartir en tus redes favoritas o bien el enlace de la página que estés visitando o bien los items seleccionados con el cursor del ratón, es genial.

Atualmente, não são poucas as redes sociais que existem por aí. É claro que cada uma tem um propósito mais específico: música, games, pessoas ou simplesmente bate-papo. Entretanto, para quem é realmente fanático por redes sociais, pode ser um problema gerenciar todas de uma vez só.

O Yoono é capaz de adicionar várias contas em uma interface só: Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Flickr, FriendFeed, Imeem, AIM, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger e Yahoo! Messenger.

Conectando-se a todas as redes

Antes de começar você precisa “anexar” todas as suas contas ao Yoono. Para isso, basta clicar em cada um dos serviços e esperar uma janela da respectiva rede social ser aberta. Depois, você precisará entrar com o seu login e senha e, em alguns casos, permitir o uso do Yoono para as suas contas (geralmente é um botão chamado Allow).

Faça isso em cada uma das redes que você tem e clique em Finish. Se você quiser, é possível criar uma conta Yoono e guardar todas as suas preferências. Assim, você não precisará anexar cada uma das redes sociais em cada computador que acessar o serviço.

Tudo em um apenas um lugar

O programa procura ser o mais simples possível. A interface se assemelha muito a um mensageiro instantâneo, e todas as redes sociais que você adicionou nele aparecem em forma de pequenos ícones no topo da tela.

Você pode acessar cada uma das redes apenas clicando no ícone. Cada uma das “abas” traz informações sobre os seus amigos, como atualizações de perfil, status, fotos e, claro, mensagens que foram deixadas para você. Os messengers, como MSN e GTalk funcionam de maneira semelhante aos outros aplicativos de mensagem instantânea, apresentando os contatos e separando cada mensagem em abas (ao invés de abrir várias janelas).

O Twitter também é um caso a parte. Com ele você vê de maneira muito simples as últimas postagens de quem você segue e pode filtrar pelo nome dos amigos. Um fator interessante nesse caso é que, quando são postadas imagens (como pelo TwitPic), elas já aparecem junto com a imagem em miniatura.

Também é possível ver as mensagens diretas e replies que você recebeu em outras abas. Ao clicar em More (abaixo de uma mensagem), é possível enviar com facilidade uma DM (direct message), ver o tweet, parar de seguir, esconder e até traduzir.

As I posted earlier I was recently introduced to a great little program called Yoono.  I had been looking for a way to inconspicuously stay updated on all of my social networks while working on my computer at work.  Yoono did just that, it hide in a collapsed sidebar on my browser window until I was ready (meaning no one standing directly behind me looking over my shoulder) to check on all of the updates posted.  Much to my disappointment I realized that Yoono was only available as an add-on for Firefox.  This was not the first time I had come across a cool new program that I was unable to fully utilize without switching my default browser.  “Enough” I said, I’ll give Firefox a try.  This was after the most recent release of Firefox 3.5.  I had already been hearing good reviews about the update so I figured I would give it a more serious look.  With the most recent Safari update I did see a increase in speed and decrease in crashing but something about Firefox was calling me.  So off I went to click on my little used Firefox icon, sitting sadly in the dock used as more of a space holder than anything else.  I updated the browser manually and quickly set it as the default to prevent myself from being drawn back to Safari with any clicked link outside of Firefox.

The first thing I did was customize the look and install some add-ons.  This is really where Firefox won me over.  I love the ability to completely customize the look and feel of the browser.  With Firefox I felt I could essentially create a browser specific to my needs.  According to some reports, Firefox lost a bit of speed with the update and according to the data Safari is still the fastest browser available but I’ll take the miniscule hit to the speed if it means browsing the way I want.  I’ve only been using Firefox 3.5 for about a week but I know that I will not be going back anytime soon.  Don’t get me wrong, Safari is a great browser and has lots of great features but there is little to no customization options.  Sometimes you get tired of seeing the same gray window and tab bar.  I know some would argue that it’s not about the look but how well the browser handles the pages you visit and I agree to an extent but I’m the type of person that enjoys a great user interface as well as convenience and functionality.  Having access to all of your social networks, bookmarks and RSS feeds in one place is very convenient and functional.  For example, with Firefox I can be catching up on my RSS reading, getting a pop up alerting me of a severe weather alert (ok ok I live in CA so we hardly ever have severe weather but surprisingly get a lot of warnings for severe weather), controlling my iTunes and getting notified when someone responds to one of my comments left on a site.  I’ve only been using Firefox 3.5 for about a week but I know that I will not be going back anytime soon.

When the latest version of Flock arrived on the scene I spent several days using it as my primary browser. I never used Flock much in the past as I was not a regular participant in the “social web” and bookmark synchronization across the various browsers I use was less than satisfactory. I am impressed with this new version as all the Firefox extensions that I regularly use worked with it and I was able to easily sync my bookmarks. Its social media integration is top-notch for my uses, and access to media, both mine and my Facebook friends was pretty cool. But, after a while it became too distracting when all the features and media bars were open. Having been use to the clean user interface of Safari Beta 4, I started to feel overwhelmed by Flock, and slowly started to move back to Safari and Firefox 3.5 RC1. And then I ran into Yoono sidebar.

As Webware remarked “Yoono now offering an elegant solution to social networking clutter “. Yoono connects to all  the major social networks and can update your status across them at the same time. Most of the major IM services are also available. The Discovery widget recommends websites, products, images and videos related to the site you’re currently viewing. It can also highlight keywords on a web page for quick access through Discoveries. Highlight a word on a web page and discover related content videos, Google search results and Wikipedia.

Yoono makes it easy to share links, images and video right from the page you’re on through all your social networks at the same time. You can even drag and drop media from the page you’re viewing into an IM conversation. Other widgets in beta at the time of this post permit you to stream music from last.fm and Imeem. You can check your Yahoo mail or Gmail accounts. The news widget allows you to access your Google Reader or Digg feeds. There’s even a widget for web notes available to your other computers connected to the Internet. Notes can be organized into folders, and Yoono provides basic word processing functionality like bold and italic formatting, underlining, strikeout, bulleted lists, highlighting, embed a link, etc. You can even send your notes to your blog. The media bar lets you search for YouTube videos, images on services like Flicker, and then add them to your note. Yoono is amazing.

No doubt, Flock is a good application if you are looking for a dedicated social media browser. But for me and maybe you, Yooono is all you need. I’ve found Yoono to be the most efficient and useful sidebar I’ve ever encountered. On my wish list is a widget to connect to YouTube favorites and Pandora personal radio stations. Yoono has been a constant companion since I installed it. It’s available for Firefox and a beta version for IE8. Highly recommended. Give it Yoono try. http://www.yoono.com/

I continue to use Yoono, especially for writing drafts of blog postings and notes for my textbook. I like being able to work on notes in the sidebar, while displaying web content in the main browser window … and listening to Pat Metheny via the Last.fm Yoono widget at the same time, and all in one app. Brilliant!

It’s April 2009 and I’ve added yet another social network to my repertoire. I keep wondering why I sign up for some of these. It kinda makes you wonder what’s the damn point anyhow. As it turns out each one has something just enough different in order for you to join/keep a presence on that network. One has your best friend, another has your colleagues and this one over here is great for staying up to date on whats going on in your field.

I suppose after it’s all said and done you’re getting realty space on the web and it’s all helping you get yourself out there. Important if you are in a field which lives and dies by talent and connections. Up until a few days ago I was telling myself, “alright self, no more signing up for anymore network sites, you can’t keep track of it all anyhow.”
Luckily there are some pretty good programs to manage all these rampant social sites. I just recently added a plug-in for my Firefox browser called Yoono and it has proved to be a very valuable asset.

چندی پیش در این وبلاگ مطلبی با عنوان فایرفاکس خود را فشن کنید خوندم که خیلی جالب بود. موزیلا برای کاربران فایرفاکس یک سری افزونه های کاربردی در پک های جداگانه پیشنهاد داده و ادعا کرده که با نصب این افزونه ها فایرفاکس شما فشن می شود! (چه حرفا! )

حالا این افزونه ها چیه که فایرفاکس ما رو فشن می کنه؟!

این افزونه ها در 9 پک هست و شامل موارد مختلفی چون افزونه های جستجو، عکس، ویدئو، شبکه های اجتماعی و تجارت الکترونیک و تم و… است. اما اون افزونه ای که بیشتر از همه چشم منو گرفت افزونه Yoono – Socialize Your Browser  بود که در واقع همه شبکه های اجتماعی از جمله فرندفید، توییتر، فلیکر، فیس بوک و… که شما توشون عضو هستید رو در ساید بار فایرفاکس شما نشون میده و شما میتونید بدون اینکه وارد سایت های مربوطه بشید هم پست بفرستید هم آپدیت های دوستانتون رو بخونید و هم کامنت بزارید و لایک بزنید و …! تازه میتونید این امکان رو براش مشخص کنید که آپدیت های دوستانتون رو در این شبکه ها بصورت Notification نشونتون بده. یه امکان دیگه هم که داره قابلیت اضافه کردن اکانت های گوگل و یاهو و … است. بطوری که هم به ایمیل هاتون دسترسی دارید و هم یاهو مسنجر و جی تاک.

اگه اهل فیدخوانی هم هستید میتونید اکانت گوگل ریدر یا دیگ رو بهش بدید تا دیگه لازم نباشه برای خوندن فیدهای مورد علاقه تون وارد گوگل ریدرتون بشید بلکه میتونید به راحتی در ساید بار فایرفاکستون به فیدخوانی بپردازید. ضمن اینکه سرعت لود کردن فیدها هم یه کم بیشتره! (دیگه از این بهتر چی میخوایید؟! )

در عکس زیر نمونه ای از همین افزونه Yoono رو میبینید که داره فید دوستان من در  فرندفید رو نشون میده. خوب به عکس نگاه کنید تا قابلیت هاشو ببینید! (برای دیدن عکس ها در اندازه واقعی روی عکس ها کلیک کنید)

یه افزونه دیگه ای که کمی مشابه افزونه Yoono است افزونه Shareaholic  هست که این امکان رو بهتون میده که بتونید براحتی کار فوری فوتیتون (!) رو در شبکه های اجتماعی و گوگل انجام بدید! می پرسید کار فوری فوتی چیه؟ عرض میکنم خدمتتون!

مثلا” میخوایید یه فید فوری بفرستید به فرندفید و حوصله و وقت باز کردن سایت فرندفید رو هم نداربد! از قسمت فرندفید این افزونه استفاده می کنید و به راحتی و در سه سوت! فید میفرستید. این امکان برای شبکه های اجتماعی دیگه از جمله  توییتر، فیس بوک و دلیشز هم هست. یا مثلا” میخوایید از طریق جیمیلتون یه ایمیل سریع بفرستید میتونید از قسمت جیمیل این افزونه استفاده کنید. و همینطور امکان بوکمارک کردن یه سایتی تو گوگل یا شیر کردن یه مطلب تو گوگل ریدر هم براتون هست.

در عکس زیر نمونه ای از کاربرد این افزونه رو برای فرندفید بنده مشاهده می فرمایید. تو نوار ابزار فایرفاکستون وارد قسمت این افزونه میشید و بعد که گزینه فرندفید رو انتخاب کردید یه باکس کوچیک براتون باز میشه که اون سایت رو لینک کرده و شما میتونید یه کامنت بنویسید و بفرستید فرندفید یا آدرس اون سایت رو پاک کنید و یه چیز دیگه بنویسید. اگرم میخوایید عکسی رو شیر کنید رو هر کدوم از تصاویر اون صفحه که برید گزینه شیر کردن براتون ظاهر میشه و میتونید اون عکس رو بصورت فید بفرستید فرندفید!

دقت بفرمایید که این افزونه فوری فوتی است! یعنی شمایی که کارت ضروری نیست ؛ میتونی بری سایت اصلی و هر عکس دیگه ای که میخوایید شیر کنی و برای فید دوستانت  کامنت بزاری و لایک بزنی.

خلاصه اینکه این 9 پک همه اون چیزی که شما بهش نیاز دارید رو در دسترستون قرار میده و به نظر من چیز خوبیه. فقط دقت کنید که قرار نیست شما همه این 9 پک رو نصب کنید! ببینید هرکدوم که بیشتر مود استفاده تونه و کارتونو راه میندازه رو نصب کنید. مثلا” افزونه های تجارت الکترونیک فکر نمیکنم تو ایران خیلی کاربرد داشته باشه! یا اگه فکر میکنید معادل بعضی افزونه ها رو دارید دیگه نیاز به نصبشون نیست. مثلا” افزونه های توییتر. امیدوارم لحظات خوشی در در فایرفاکس فشن خود تجربه کنید!

Tudom, régen írtam már. Mindenesetre most nekilátok megint . Találtam egy nagyon jó programot, bár, egyeseknek tetszik, egyeseknek nem, mindenesetre nekem kifejezetten tetszik. Az a neve, hogy Yoono, és egy addon ff-hez.
Lehet vele msn-ezni, gtalkozni, yahoo, és még sok más. Ezen kívül, még plusz cuccok is vannak benne. Nekem spec. kifejezetten tetszik, én csak azt tudom tanácsolni mindenkinek, hogy próbálja ki ;).

Dengan Yoono, teman-teman yang ada di jaringan sosial Facebook, MySpace, Flickr, Twitter, iMeem dan Friendfeed bisa dengan mudah disapa. Sekaligus bisa chating dengan MSN, Gtalk, Yahoo dan AIM disatu tempat. Serta pengalaman shoping online anda bisa dengan mudah dishare dengan kawan-kawan di Facebook, Twitter dan StumbleUpon via sidebar browser yang bisa dibuka-tutup.

No…  I don’t think they do.  Yea, you can make the argument that every college student is on Facebook or Myspace, and they are constantly networking with one and other whether they know it or not.  But I really don’t think that matters, instead of an introduction to social media, Facebook and Myspace are just a necessary tool if you want to have any sort of social life.

So what is social media??  That is a good question, one that people outside of “the industry” might not understand.  Simply, social media is a collection of blogging, micro blogging, networking, or vlogging sites (I realize I may have left some out, but I think you get the point).  I am talking about sites like Twitter , Tumblr, or even Youtube.  Do college students use these?  If they do, it is only to watch some crazy shit on Youtube.

How can we fix this problem?  And it is a problem because there are so many opportunities for college students if they would take the time to learn about it.  I think I found a potential solution…  Or at least a step in the right direction.  I had a chat with Theresa Toste from Yoono the other day, and she told me about some of the cool things they are up to.

Yoono is holding Social Media Camp(u)s around the country.  They have already done SMC at MIT and UT, both of which were very succesful and got great feedback.  The idea is to use Social Media resources like Facebook to promote the events, and then get a conversation started both online and in person about the other sites that are out there, and what they can do for you.

They are hiring interns at universities across the country that are required to start a blog, plan and hold at least two events a semester, and promote social media news and current events online.  I wish I had the opportunity to do this in college, but I guess I am doing it now and I haven’t been out of school that long.

Why is it important for college students to be utilizing these tools?  Theresa made some great points in my conversation with her.  She talked about how important someone can be to a company if they are able to start, or maintain a blog.  Also, she talked about how twitter has become a marketing tool for many companies and if a employee is comfortable with the site, and is capable of launching a marketing campaign through twitter then they are a step ahead.

Schools also need to step up…  College students should get an introduction from career centers or professors about how to use social media to further their careers.  Social media sites can open their mind to education outside of the classroom, and is not just for pictures of their friends drunken weekend excursions (even though those are fun to look at sometimes!).

To compliment an earlier social media post, here are some ways to organize all the different tools available to us today as current and future entrepreneurs, educators, and everyone in between.  As we like to call this post, “HOW TO KEEP YOUR BRAIN FROM EXPLODING.” Below are a few resources you might find useful in this wired world in which we live:

1. In Google Reader – Star article at top left corner to save for later

2. Zotero – Good for academic research and tracking citations

3. Linked in Toolbar for Firefox

4. Yoonoo and Digsby – Access to Facebook, Twitter, etc. all at one place

5. RescueTime – Analyzes your internet usage each day. You can set timers, goals, alarms.

6. Organize yourself/make the world smaller – With tools like StumbleUpon (and other social bookmarking tools like, e.g., del.icio.us) as well as Twitter search.
