This post takes a slightly different tack to my normal blogging but I have had reason to consider this issue, our pursuit of happiness, in recent days for a number of reasons and it always helps me to clarify my own thinking if I write things down – this means you have to put up with these odd musings every now and then.

 You know you are starting to get old when you find yourself thinking about why ‘young’ people do what they do and now that I’m on the other side of 40 I guess there is no escaping from this.  But this is what I have found myself thinking about over the last few days – why it is that young people do some of the things that they do and as a parent with children who will soon be at the age when they want to ‘make their own decisions’ it becomes even more important.  Because on what basis do they make these decisions?

 The issue which is particularly on my mind is this issue of wanting to be happy.  I know this sounds like a strange thing to be devoting so much thought to, for surely there is nothing wrong with this, but bear with me and I’ll see if I can explain a little more clearly.  There are actually two aspects to this which I am seeing becoming more prevalent in the younger generations – firstly, asserting their right ‘to be happy’, with home, education, relationships and just life in general; and secondly, when this ‘happiness’ is not forthcoming to stop what they are doing and go looking for happiness elsewhere.  The third point in this discussion is of course what does it actually mean to be ‘happy’?  Let me start with the last point first because I actually think the other two stem from this issue.

 If I was to ask 10 people in the street what happiness meant to them there is a good chance I’d get 10 different answers.  For some it would be about relationships, for others a successful career, money, having the latest gadgets or just not having anything to worry about.  While the examples given may be different, what they will all have in common is a connection with some personal desire being satisfied.  Generally when our desires are satisfied this engenders a feeling of happiness – or at least that is the language we use.  But is this really the ‘happiness’ we all seek?  There is a fundamental problem with this view of happiness.  Firstly, it is a fleeting emotion because desires by their very nature are fluid and ever changing.  When one desire is met, and we get a good feeling about it, it is not long before the ego replaces this with another desire and we find our moment of ‘happiness’ is now but a memory and we long for something else to satisfy our new desire.  On this view then we can never have any real long term happiness.

 Secondly, the things we desire are often driven by outside influences which often we are not even consciously aware of.  Modern western society, built on consumerism and individualism, functions by the generation of personal desires which the institutions of that society are then geared up to meet – whether we are conscious of it or not, society works by building the desires in us which it is structured to satisfy and through that satisfaction exercise a measure of control over us.  For these societies to continue to grow it becomes crucial that new desires are encouraged in people on an ongoing basis – whether it is for material goods, leisure activities, personal growth etc – for this is what the economists refer to as ‘demand’.  And for a consumer based economy to grow you need a consistent growth in demand.  The rub of it though is that, despite our notions of personal freedom, most of the things we demand we do as a result of society’s influence upon us than any real need on our own part.  The consequence of this is that people in western societies are in an ongoing pursuit of desire satisfaction.  This becomes like an addiction because the emotion generated by the satisfaction of desires, while it makes us feel good, is momentary only and so we are constantly on the look out for the next ‘hit’ of pleasure.  And like any addiction, over time it takes a greater level of stimulus to generate the same response in us.  This isn’t happiness at all.  At best this is satiation and the one who is driven by the need to be sated is controlled by whoever has the power to feed that need – no different to a drug user and his/her supplier. 

 So much for our notions of freedom then.

 Does this mean there is no such thing as true happiness?  Not at all.  Happiness is something that can and does exist and is a worthy pursuit for all of us.  The tricky part is in understanding where it lies.  From my perspective as a Muslim the answer to this is in understanding the nature and purpose of our existence in this life.  It is a fundamental belief in Islam that our existence does not terminate with our death, that there exists a life after that.  Further, it is also a basic tenet of the religion that the afterlife will result in either a life of eternal happiness and bliss or one of damnation until the Mercy of Allah (swt) is manifested for us and we are raised to paradise.  The afterlife is an eternal one by the grace of Allah, Most Exalted is He.

 So the happiness we should be pursuing is that of eternal paradise promised to us by Allah (swt) and we achieve this by fulfilling the purpose of our existence in this life, which is as Allah (swt) tells us in the Quran (51:56)

 وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلإِنسَ إِلاَّ لِيَعْبُدُونِ

 “And I did not create the jinn and mankind except that they may worship Me”

 While there is an enormous amount of detail that sits behind this command, at its essence this is what our purpose is – to worship Allah (swt).  If we do this then Allah (swt) has promised us eternal paradise.  Our happiness in this world should come from knowing that our actions are those that serve this purpose and which will lead to this outcome.  This is the only sustainable happiness we have available to us.

 And this is where the first tension in our pursuit for happiness in this life arises.  The happiness I have described above is essentially a spiritual state in this life, and while it is not necessarily divorced from material satisfaction it is not driven by it nor is it dependent upon it. Hence there is a tension between a society which emphasises the need for personal satisfaction in the here and now and a spiritual imperative which says that personal satisfaction is fine provided it does not compromise eternal happiness.  This is often a difficult tightrope for people of any age, let alone the young, to walk upon.

 The tensions become greater in those situations where there is in fact a conflict between those things which will give us personal satisfaction and those things which will lead to eternal paradise.  As an intellectual construct, for any Muslim, it is a non-issue – the eternal clearly takes precedence over the temporal.  However, at a practical level, to live this day-in-day-out is not such an easy thing and, I think, for the younger generation even more so. 

It becomes a question of time horizons and perspective.  So called ‘modern’ society encourages people to live in the ‘now’, what is happening to the individual in this moment in time is what is important.  Even when people are encouraged to look forward this is still within the framework of our mortal existence and not anything beyond that.  One of the common criticisms levelled at Islam is that it is a religion which is caught up in the past and has not adapted to the times we live in.  To a certain extent this is true, in the sense that there is an extremely strong emphasis on the history, in particular the time and life of the Prophet (saws).  But it is wrong to suggest that this is the only focus.

 Islam actually has a dual focus from a temporal perspective.  It teaches us to look to the past for guidance on how we should behave, for the principles which are immutable and relevant for all times, but it actually focuses our vision on the future.  Not in terms of what our lives are going to be like in this world but what will happen to us AFTER this life – in essence it encompasses the whole spectrum of time.  But what is the role of the ‘now’ moment in this context?  The purpose of ‘now’ is not our happiness or satisfaction but in taking what we learn from the past and using that to move closer to what will grant us happiness at the end of time – and that is to please our Lord, Most Exalted is He, through our worship of Him.

 But it is hard for many people to be motivated by something which is by its nature intangible and beyond our imagination.  Most young people struggle to come to terms with denying themselves certain things, things which will provide an immediate sensory high, or pursue difficult things for rewards which are promised for some indeterminate period of time in the future.  And living in a western country makes this even more problematic given the continual exposure to a society which elevates the individual and the satisfaction of individual desires above most other things.

 One consequence of this is that we find many younger people on an emotional roller coaster – one minute on a high because some external event has triggered a momentary emotional response and then on a low when that event either concludes or when the ego becomes sated and no longer satisfied.  People become driven, and make decisions around, what is going to make them happy in the ‘now’ without realising that this is in fact a futile approach.  All this does is to fuel the ego and build its desires to ever greater levels which will become harder and harder to satisfy. 

 The only way out of this cycle is to step out of the loop and remember what our purpose in life is.  We are the servants or slaves of Allah (swt), our only purpose is to please Him, Most Exalted is He.  What rights does a slave or servant have for happiness or to have their desires met?  Only those accorded to them by their Master, and Allah (swt) in his great Mercy has laid out for us very clearly what is required for us to be granted this happiness.  

 It is not great secret.  If we are able to focus on this then it becomes extremely liberating because no longer are we dictated to by our own ego or nafs, by desires which are fuelled by a society that seeks to draw us away from our Divine Creator.  The nafs is tied to this world and a love of this world is the first step to forsaking the promised happiness in the hereafter.

 It is a hard thing for young people to let go of those things which give us an immediate buzz and fix their sight on something which is distant and ephemeral, it becomes easier to do this as you get older and you have more years behind you than likely to be in front of you.  But this is what they need to do if they truly want to be happy.  If you are a true slave of Allah (swt), with sincerity and purity, then you know that He, the most Merciful and Benevolent of Masters, Most Exalted is He, will provide all that we need in this world and the next.  One of the implications of this, and our understanding of the Diving Attributes, is that our knowledge is limited whereas Allah (swt) has knowledge of everything that ever was or ever will be. 

 This means that our ability to appreciated what is in our best interests is limited and so if we have complete reliance on Allah(swt) then whatever occurs in our lives will serve to bring us closer to Him and therefore eternal happiness.

Joshua Rosenburg has drawn attention to a recent article by Carl Savich which deals with the antics of a very notorious character (His name is Marko Attila Hoare) and associate of Oliver Kamm of the Times of London, also a close associate of the equally notorious Harry´s Place website. We deal once again with this man going under the very peculiar name, let me repeat it for effect, in case our readers are unfamiliar…Marko Attila Hoare !

Hoare  is again proven an egregious liar about Alija Izetbegovic’s resurrected Bosnian Muslim Nazi “Handschar” [aka "Handzar"] division in this great article by Serbian-American historian, Carl Savich.

Marko Attila Hoare rejects and suppresses this factual image of Bosnian history in favor of a fantasy or delusional image from a television comedy. The real Heinrich Himmler (Heimlich Bimmler) reviewing the real or “historical” Bosnian Muslim Nazi SS Division Handzar, 1943.

Did the Bosnian Muslim Army and Government reform or recreate the infamous Nazi SS Division Handzar or not? Based on Martko Attila Hoare’s response to my article, Hoare now concedes that, indeed, there was a formation in the Bosnian Muslim Army termed the “Handzar Division”.

Let me reiterate that. Hoare admitted that the Bosnian Muslim Government did indeed reform the Handzar Nazi SS Division of World War II. When you cut through and deconstruct all the indeologically-driven claptrap, innuendo, ad hominen, personal attacks, this is the conclusion that he reaches.

Hoare is so caught up in his own arrogance and conceit that he does not even notice that he admitted this fact.

The issue or question is and always was: Did the Bosnian Muslim Government have a unit in its ranks known as the Handzar Division? Hoare’s reply is: Yes.

Marko Attila Hoare used this fantasy image to illustrate his article on the reformed Bosnian Muslim Handzar Nazi SS Division. Michael Palin is shown as Heimlich Bimmler (Heinrich Himmler), John Cleese as Mr. Hilter (Adolf Hitler), and Graham Chapman as Ron Vibbentrop (Joachim von Ribbentrop), from a 1970 episode of Monty Python’s Flying Circus. Reality is rejected over delusional fantasy constructs.

Hoare, nevertheless, convinces himself that he was “vindicated” in denying the existence of the reformed Handzar Division. How does he do this? His rebuttal consists of challenging the strength of the reformed Handzar Division. Now that he admits that it existed, he now challenges the size of the formation. His argument is:  The reformed Handzar Division did exist, as you claimed, but it was very small. It was a little bitty Nazi SS Division, not a big bad full-sized Nazi SS Division!

The Holocaust as joke? Michael Palin as Heimlich Bimmler (Heinrich Himmler) in a 1970 comedy sketch. Isn’t Hoare a Holocaust denier? Fact: Bosnian Muslims, Albanian Muslims, and Croats played a role in the real Holocaust.

But is this a valid argument? Is someone pregnant or not? Can you be pregnant by degree? Is someone dead or not? Can you be only dead to a small degree? Did the Bosnian Muslim Army recreate the Handzar Division or not? This requires a simple yes or no answer. What Hoare initially challenged and questioned was the existence of the division. To be sure, he hedged his bets and cheated by conceding that the division might exist “conceivably” but that its number was small in size.

Hoare hedged his bets this way: “[I]t is conceivable that there really was a handful of Muslim zealots who, during the recent war, fought on the Bosnian side and grandiloquently named themselves the ‘Handžar Division’ after this historic unit.”

Hoare, in essence, denied that the division existed at all. This was the gist of his article. Now he admits and concedes that it, in fact, existed. Now he argues that the unit or formation was a small one. It is hard to pinpoint exactly what he claimed because he constantly changes his arguments and contentions.

Fact versus delusional fantasy? This is a factual image of the real Henrich Himmler (Heimlich Bimmler) with the real Bosnian Muslim Nazi SS Division Hnadzar which Hoare has suppressed and repressed. Delusional fantasy is more reassuring than factual reality.

A fair characterization of his initial argument was that there was no evidence for the reformation of the Handzar Division. The eyewitness account of military analyst and journalist Robert Fox was deemed not credible. Hoare disingenuously hedged his argument by claiming that “conceivably” it could have existed. The way to translate this argument is:  No, the Handzar Division was not reformed. But, nevertheless, it is possible it may have been reformed. Of course, this is nonsensical and absurd.
 
Hoare then concluded: “Monty Python is a much better source for accurate historical information than Neil Clark and his comrades.”

So was the Handzar Division reformed or not? In his rebuttal to my article, Hoare now admits that the Handzar Division was reformed. He again hedges his bets by claiming this time that it was a small unit formed by “zealots”. But, again, the size of the unit or formation was never the question or issue. If there was a small unit or formation in the U.S. Army or British Army termed the “Adolf Hitler Regiment” or “Das Reich Division”, would it be relevant or material that the unit in question was only made up of “a handful” of “zealots”? Now that the existence of the unit is accepted and acknowledged, the issue shifts to the size of the unit, which is unknown.

Hoare concluded:  “It would seem that the ‘Handžar Division’,  confidently described as numbering ‘about 6,000 troops’ by our friend, does indeed turn out to be a bit smaller when the available evidence is examined closely.”

Hoare here mischaracterized Fox’s original statement by quoting my  estimate of the strength of the unit. Fox stated that UN peacekeeping “officers” had told him that the reformed “Handzar Division” was “up to 6,000-strong.” Fox emphazied that the strength of the unit was an approximation or estimate made by UN observers. Fox refers to the formation as a “unit” and as an element of the Bosnian army. Hoare ignores this explicit language and now argues that Fox claimed that the reformed unit consisted of “about 6,000 troops”.  But nowhere does Fox state that the unit was made up of 6,000 troops. The phrase “up to 6,000-strong” could encompass any number from one member to 6,000 members. Moreover, Hoare ignored that fact that Fox referred to the formation as a “unit” in his report leaving the actual size open to debate. Fox referred to the members of the unit as “Handzars” and as “[h]ardline elements of the Bosnian army, like Handzar.” Fox wrote that the formation was a “unit” of the Bosnian army similar to other units: “The Handzars are working closely with other units around Fojnica. ” But even at 6,000 men, it would only have ranked as a regiment or brigade, which usually consist of up to 5,000 men, not a division, which is generally accepted as a formation of 10,000 men or more.  In short, the focus or emphasis of the Fox report was the existence of the unit, not the size, on which issue Fox only proffered a potential maximum figure that was based on a UN estimate.

Finally, Hoare rejected Fox’s 1993 news report from the London Daily Telegraph out of hand, but this was not done by the Republican Policy Committee of the United States Senate, which cited Fox’s report as credible and accurate. In a January 16, 1997 report, the Committee, chaired at the time by U.S. Senator Larry E. Craig, Republican from Idaho, noted that  “there exists another group known as the Handzar (’dagger’ or ’scimitar’) Division” and quoted from Fox’s report. Thus, members of the U.S. Senate, tasked with safeguarding the lives of U.S. troops, found Fox’s report to be factual, credible, and accurate. Only Marko Attila Hoare questioned the veracity and accuracy of the Fox report. Absurdly, the Bosnian Muslim Government or Army never denied the existence of the reformed “Handzar Division”. Only Hoare has done this. At the war crimes trials of Bosnian Muslim military commanders at the ICTY, the existence of the “Handzar Division” as part of the Bosnian Muslim Army is openly acknowledged and detailed.

The translation is: The Bosnian Muslim Government of Alija Izetbegovic reformed the Nazi SS Division Handzar during the 1992-1995 civil war. This is the only logical conclusion when one cuts through all of Hoare’s labels and propagandistic nomenclature.

Hoare uses a bevy of labels to do the thinking for him: “Serb-nationalists” (yes, with a hyphen!), “Milosevic supporters” (at least Hoare gets the correct pronunciation of his name with the correct Serbo-Croat form of his name), “Islamofascist” (no hyphen, a neologism popular after 9-11), “members of a US-based circle of Milosevic supporters and Srebrenica deniers” (an analogy with Holocaust deniers), “Great Serbia” (a propaganda term coined by Austria-Hungary before World War I), “ex-Maoist” (is that a good or a bad thing?), “Milosevic-supporting, Srebrenica-denying website” (hyphenated now, denoting an activity), “all good Chomskyites” (are there such people as “Chomskyites” out there?), “Serb nationalists and their supporters” (no hyphen;  do “Serb nationalists” have supporters?), “Serb nationalists and their fellow travellers”  (didn’t this term go out with the Joseph McCarthy Communist Witch Hunts during the 1950s Red Scare?), and “the Great Serbia supporters”.

How can one explain this plethora of labels? Why does Hoare use such preposterous and risible labels? We use labels to preclude thought or thinking. Labels are a shortcut to thinking and intellectual debate or discusiion. In fact, labels are meant to preclude or prevent any thought at all. This is why Hoare uses labels. They are mindless and senseless. Why use them then? In essence, Hoare does not want to debate or discuss these issues rationally or logically. He thus engages in the use of labels, what is termed “name calling” in propaganda analysis.  In propaganda, we use “pulpit words” or “glittering words” to describe ourselves and our own actions and the opposite words to describe our opponents. In short, Hoare wants to preclude any thought or debate. This is why he resorts to such propagandistic words. There is no thought or thinking going on, no discussion or debate or dialectic. There is only a stream of pre-selected labels or prejudiced or loaded words. It is like when Polonius asked Hamlet what he was reading:  “Polonius: What do you read, my lord? Hamlet: Words, words, words.”

The case is closed. As Detective Steve McGarrett would say to Detective Danny Williams, “Book ‘em, Danno!”

The great strength of this study is that it shows that Marko Attila Hoare is responsible for a great revision of history, which is essentially what he does when he makes a joke about an aspect of the Holocaust in the Balkans.

Let us be very clear here. The Handzar division was a Nazi SS Division, and was created out of the forces of Islam in the Balkans.

To deny that is bad, but to deny as Hoare does that that was recreated by Izetbegovic is the most dangerous of all.

Because if you do that then you are saying that the study by Christopher Simpson in “Blowback” and in all the studies of the actions and words of Ahmadinejad in the present are of no relevance.

That another Holocaust is not possible!

That is the great fact that all on this British Imperialist Labourist wing surrounding Kamm, Harry´s Place, the British Media in total except for one noted journalist Eve Ann Prentice, worked might and main to keep hidden during the 90s and indeed since to this very day!

And that is where the Savich claim about Marko Attila Hoare Holocaust Denial is located. They are all guilty of this.

We on 4international have also met Jewish people who did not want to know about this aspect of history, or like Bill Narvey of Israpundit claimed that it had no relevance to today.

We also think that at the centre of all of the Fascist Leftist posturing of today on Israel lies a deep form of Holocaust Denial.

Behind the antics of people like Sinead Cusack now canvassing for her Israel hating son today in Ireland and wider is another form of truth denial, because what is denied is the situation of the Shoah which made it imperative to found Israel.

In fact all attacks that I see being made on Israel today, whether it is in Fatah and Abbas, in Hamas, in Hizbullah, or Iran…all are forms of Holocaust Denial.

There is another distortion which I would like our readers to understand acutely.

It was Leon Trotsky who emerged in the 1930s as the greatest advocate for Jewish nationalism, which he promoted because he had made a deep study of Fascism, and saw the great danger to the Jews from the Nazis.

For some reason the Lefts and “Trotskyists” have also hidden this aspect of history.

And in a strange way these things have come back together again in the grave danger to the Jews of Israel and all the Jews in the Diaspora from a combination of Fascist Islam and Fascist US Foreign policy (of Bush and Obama)

While we on 4international alone continue to fight to defend the Jews of Israel and insist that Israel has no choice but to wage war on the Iranian Nuclear agenda.

We do not wish this. But like Trotsky in the 1930s we are realistic and we try to emulate the realism of Trotsky re 1930s Fascism in the situation of today.

It is a decade since the US led NATO bombed Serbia.

Yugoslavia and Serbia was a small country which was doing no harm to America, but it stood int he way of the Empire in its drive to surround Russia with Nuclear Technology.

Although the Soviets had been overthrown Russia remained still an independent national country with very powerful Nuclear Weapons. It was that, the coming crisis in capitalism, the growing power of Chinese and Indian industry, which drove the US Empiricists forward.

BRUSSELS (AFP) — US Ambassador Richard Holbrooke said Saturday that NATO’s air attack on former Yugoslavia a decade ago was “the right thing to do” and had improved the lives of Kosovo Albanians and Serbs.

Speaking at the Brussels Forum conference, Holbrooke — former envoy to the Balkans — recalled how 10 years ago this week he had given the final ultimatum to former strongman Slobodan Milosevic to comply or face air strikes.

“I look back on it and I think that sometimes it’s necessary to use force, and the result was good in the end,” the new US representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan told reporters.

Easy for Holbrooke to say. He still carries on the lies against Slobodan Milosevic who was in fact in the end murdered in his cell (poisoned) by his NATO Hague jailers.

NATO murdered Milosevic first of all because they could not prove their case against Milosevic, and also because Milosevic was planning to insist that Clinton appear in the Hague to give evidence concerning a conversation he had with the Islamofascist Izetbegovic in which Clinton clearly insisted that there had to be a “massacre” in Srebrenica, in order to justify the bombing by the US forces in Bosnia.

Thanks to people like Times writer Oliver Kamm there has been a conspiracy of silence in the Media about the events in Yugoslavia.

The Media is so deeply implicated in that war, especially in the lies and black propaganda agains the Serbs as a people, that these Media journalists can never have it opened up for discussion.

Only a few journalists told the truth, one of whom is very dear to the heart of this website, that is the wonderful journalist Eve Ann Prentice.

The following report by Marina Dimova has never been published in the Western Media who were so demanding that the Serbs be bombed 10 years ago today.

Thousands in Serbia

 ”still in danger from

NATO cluster bombs”

Civilians in Serbia are still in danger from thousands of unexploded cluster bombs almost a decade after NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, local media reported Saturday.

A study by Norwegian People’s Aid said that some 2,500 unexploded pieces of cluster ordnance were scattered across 15 municipalities, mainly in southern Serbia near the border with Kosovo, and the second largest city of Nis.

Around 160,000 civilians were at risk and it would take between 12 and 23 years to clear the areas if the current rate of clearance continued, the study said.

Serbia needs around 38 million dollars to dig out and defuse unexploded cluster bombs – canisters that open in flight and eject dozens of bomblets, some of which can lay unexploded for years.

NATO planes scattered some 37,000 cluster bombs over Yugoslavia, killing 31 people and injuring 160, during its 78 days of attacks to end Serbia’s crackdown of Albanian insurgents in Kosovo.

But the scars which Holbrooke and his American Empiricists inflicted on the Balkans will not be forgotten in a hurry.

Nothing shows this more than the memory of the young Serb men who were abducted by those who Holbrooke and Clinton placed in power in Kosovo, abducted that is from the southern part of Kosovo and Metohija.

Not many Serbs now live in Kosovo today, certainly none in this area dealt with here.

On the 10th anniversary of the NATO bombing of Serbia it is this story which we will focus upon. It shows the nature of the new period of world capitalism, imperialism. It is a horror story of Holocaust proportions.

It is also a great lesson for the Jews of Israel in particular. The Jews know very well about Nazi brutality. Now there is a growing awareness that under the Obama Government a deal is being cooked up with the Holocaust Deniers of Fatah and Hamas, and indeed there is similarity between the hatred of Hamas for Jews, and the hatred shown in the following for Serbs.

Kosovo Province’s Macabre Rulers

Over the years, the families of the kidnapped Kosovo Serbs never stopped searching for their loved ones, trying to raise awareness about the abducted Serbs and knocking on doors of every official who could help them find their family members or their remains, so they could be properly buried.

In its March 26 edition, Press Online published an excerpt from the testimony of one of Hague witnesses about Kosovo Serbs kidnapped by the KLA for organ harvesting. In her book “The Hunt”, to be published in Italy in April, ICTY’s former chief prosecutor Carla Del Ponte revealed that Hague prosecution learned about a group of more than 300 Serbs kidnapped from the southern Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija in the summer of 1999, who were taken to northern Albania in trucks, to have their vital organs extracted and sold in the West.

The Hague eyewitness, who personally took part in the harrowing ordeal, testified that trade with vital organs of the kidnapped Kosovo Serbs was conducted under a direct supervision of Hashim Thaci, the current ‘Premier’ of the fake mafia state in southern Serbia.

The witness, listed in the ICTY documentation under the protective code K-144, stated that kidnapping of the Serbs and harvesting their organs before they were killed was a “well organized and very profitable business”, conducted under the control of the KLA leaders and with the consent of the Albanian state officials.

“In the course of this action at least 300 kidneys and around 100 of other organs were extracted and sold through Italy. The prisoners had their livers extracted too, and in few cases also the hearts… I know that the price of a kidney was between 10,000 and 50,000 German Marks. They said that the total earnings was in excess of four million Deutsch Marks. There was a precise documentation, all of the extracted organs were listed, along with the amounts of money charged. The reports were submitted to the KLA commanders, who submitted them in person to Hashim Thaci. The KLA command was taking 80 percent of the earnings. The rest was divided among the men who organized the extraction and transport of the organs,” the Hague witness described the grisly operation in his statement.

Albania, Mass Grave for Serbs

According to him, there were several prison camps in central and northern Albania in 1999 where the Kosovo Serbs kidnapped for organ harvesting were held.

“It was a well organized system. Doctors would examine all the prisoners, they had files for each. When they would get the information from Italy which organ was needed, it would be decided who will go under a knife. The prisoners were anesthetized, their organs were extracted, and then they would most often be left to die by being taken off the life support… In several cases the younger prisoners, after having one kidney extracted, were sutured and returned with others, but that caused great panic and unrest among the others, so this practice was dropped”, the Hague witness said.

He stated that the killed Serbs were buried in mass graves which were moved several times in 2000.

“The biggest mass grave with some 100 Serbs was in the place Burel in central Albania. I have personally helped burying the Serbs there… When it was heard about the action and there was a danger of investigation being launched, this mass grave was opened, and the killed were moved to around dozen of other locations. Some remains were burned…”, ICTY protected witness stated.

“USED UP PROSTITUTES” ALSO MUTILATED

He also testified that there were few dozens of “used-up prostitutes” in the prison camps in northern Albania, who, after the medical examinations, were also mutilated and had their vital organs extracted before being killed.

“There were also some Russian women, Romanians and Moldavians. I once asked about them. They told me that those are the whores who have done their jobs,” the ICTY witness said.

Del Ponte Received All the Evidence by 2004

President of the Association of Kidnapped and Missing Kosovo Serbs Simo Spasic announced the lawsuit against the former ICTY chief prosecutor Carla Del Ponte for covering up these monstrous crimes, by failing to bring charges against the KLA leaders in the case of Serbs whose vital organs were harvested in Albanian prison camps.

Speaking for Tanjug news agency, Spasic said his Association is waiting to receive Del Ponte’s book “The Hunt, Me and War Criminals“, based on which the Association representative, Belgrade lawyer, will submit a lawsuit against Del Ponte.

Spasic said that this is an issue of a criminal act Del Ponte, as a chief prosecutor, was duty-bound to sanction.

THE FAMILIES HAD INFORMED DEL PONTE AS FAR BACK AS 2001

According to Spasic, the families of the missing Kosovo Serbs have been warning about the KLA atrocities over the non-Albanians in the Kosovo-Metohija province since 1999. The Association of the Families had informed Del Ponte about their findings twice, in 2001, during Del Ponte’s trip to Belgrade and in 2004, when the Association representatives went to the ICTY in Hague.

 

Recalling those meetings, Spasic said that the first was held in the cabinet of then-Foreign Affairs Minister Goran Svilanovic, in the presence of Florence Hartmann, Anton Nikiforov and the ICTY chief investigator, Finn Matti Ratkinnen who carefully wrote down and taped the entire conversation.

“We gave them all the evidence about the Kosovo Serbs who, under the armed guard and in columns, were transfered through Montenegro to Albania. One of my missing brothers was among them, Zarko, with whom I later talked over the phone, on May 19, 1998, thanks to one connection,” Spasic said.

He added that the war crimes prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic now has a video tape which Spasic received from the Serbian Interior Police Minister Dragan Jocic, and which contains the video recording of his brother alongside one uniformed man and two civilians.

EVEN THE SPERM WAS FOR SALE

Spasic said that Del Ponte was also informed about the telephone call he received in 2003, when a male who did not want to reveal his identity, told him about the things Albanians are doing to Serbs before they kill them.

“He told me their vital organs are being extracted, heart and kidneys, and even the sperm, for sale in Western Europe and USA”, said Spasic.

“THEIR TURN WILL COME TOO” SAID DEL PONTE

“During our Hague meeting in 2004, the chief prosecutor greeted us with the information that all of our loved ones were killed, some in northern Albania, some in the concentration camps Likovac and Lapusnik”, Spasic said, adding that when they asked why are the KLA leaders, who are hiding the remains of our family members, being protected, Del Ponte replied that “their turn will come too”.

The late President of the Raska region Helsinki Committee, Muslim Shefko Alomerovic was also pointing to the fact that Albanians held Kosovo-Metohija Serbs in concentration camps. His testimony was especially shocking for the foreigners, because it was coming from someone who could not be labeled a “pro-Serbian” source.

Alomerovic testified that Aljos Malja, the chief of the KLA secret police, runs all the concentration camps for Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija province, which existed in six locations, most often in boiler rooms, garages and cellars of the public buildings and private homes.

In the interview to the magazine “Reporter” given in April 2000, Alomerovic said: “KFOR and UNMIK are aware of the charges by the Sandzak Helsinki Committee. Committee has people who are employed with both KFOR and UNMIK, and these men confirmed that KFOR offices in Pristina, Pec and Kosovska Mitrovica have received the relevant documentation from the Committee. These are our men whom we trust and their testimony is a sufficient evidence that KFOR is aware of the concentration camps.”

Serbs, but Prefer to Ignore Them

“In 1999 there were rumors in Kosovo that the vital organs of the kidnapped and missing Serbs are being sold, but they were discarded as a ‘Serb propaganda’,” said Scott Taylor, Canada’s military analyst and former member of the peacekeeping forces in Kosovo province in 1999.

Taylor, who has worked as a war correspondent and is the current editor of the military magazine Esprit de Corps, commenting the claims in Del Ponte’s book for Saturday edition of the Belgrade daily Vecernje novosti, said it was simply not possible that NATO and UNMIK did not know about the trade in human organs extracted from kidnapped Kosovo Serbs, while the ICTY’s chief prosecutor knew about these atrocious crimes.

THE FOREIGN REPORTERS SAW NOTHING KNEW NOTHING!

Nothing was published about the crimes against the Serbs that Albanians in some cases committed even in the plain view of foreign reporters and NATO troops,” said Taylor.

Taylor reminded that a series of those crimes committed under the command of KLA leader Agim Ceku, were witnessed by the Canadian troops which recorded them, especially the war crimes in Croatia (Medak Pocket massacre and the ethnic cleansing of over 300,000 Serbs from Srpska Krajina in Croatia, code named Operation Storm).

THE CRIMES OF CEKU BUT CEKU REWARDED BY HOLBROOKE AND NATO

Taylor said that he continued to write about Ceku’s crimes and included in his memoirs the Canadian double standards, exemplified in the charges Canada’s judge Louis Arbour at the post of ICTY chief prosecutor brought against the late Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic in 1999, for the alleged Racak massacre, which the forensic experts rejected as a fraud.

“One has to wonder why she, at the same time, failed to raise charges against the KLA leaders for trafficking the organs extracted from the kidnapped Serbs”.

Taylor said he does not represent the Serbian position, but simply demands that the full truth should be revealed before any decisions are made. “Throughout the entire conflict in the Balkans, everyone overlooked the number of crimes committed against Serbs,” he said.

The Most Heinous Crimes Since

 Nazi Germany

The Serbian Medical Society of Kosovo and Metohija requested that Serbia’s Ministries of Health, Justice and Foreign Affairs urgently initiate the international investigation regarding the claims that Kosovo Serbs had their organs extracted for sale.

Addressing the press conference in Kosovska Mitrovica on Saturday, Dr. Milan Jakovljevic, President of the Serbian Medical Society, along with Society members Dr. Miladinka Barac and Dr. Dragan Stefanovic, said that Serbia has to immediately cut all diplomatic ties with Albania, the country where the kidnapped Kosovo Serbs were taken to have their organs extracted.

Dr. Jakovljevic explained that “human organs can be taken only by the skilled medical staff, which means that medical workers took part in these heinous crimes”. He stressed that the greatest responsibility for the entire “massacre the international community is ignoring for eight years, avoiding to face responsibility for this even today”, rests on the medical workers who took part in the monstrosity.

AND WHERE ARE THE MEDICAL WORKERS NOW?

“We demand that the identity of the medical workers who took part in this operation is revealed, that they are prohibited from practicing medicine and held criminally responsible. We shall work till the very end to make sure the whole truth comes to light, if for no other reason, then so that the families of those tormented Serbs who were kidnapped at least receive a moral satisfaction,” said Dr. Jakovljevic, calling on the World Health Organization to launch investigation into this “most inhumane act, before seen only in the Second World War, during the reign of Nazi Germany.”

UNMIK Policemen Lied About

Kidnapped Serbs in Albania

Milorad Avramovic (38), father of three children, who worked in Trepca mine, was kidnapped in June 1999, in the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica. His wife Maya Avramovic said that she received the confirmation from certain UNMIK police officers in the same year that her husband is alive and imprisoned in northern Albania.

“At the time, one Argentinian whose name was Ramon Armacado and one Bulgarian whose name I can’t remember, said that in the summer of 1999 Kosovo Albanians took some 300 kidnapped Serbs in trucks to Albanian camps, in the places Tropoja and Kukes,” she said, adding that her husband was among them.

She said they told her that “everyone works there, they are unloading the construction material, building roads for Haradinaj, that the trucks are bringing food to them and that they are even wearing some kind of the workers’ jumpsuits.”

THE FEARS WERE RATIONAL, BUT IGNORED

“Unfortunately, nobody took seriously our fears in all these years, even though they were entirely rational, after it was confirmed that the kidnapped Serbs were being taken to Albania”, Avramovic said.

EFFECT ON CHILDREN

She said that her children were deeply distressed with the latest information about the kidnapped Serbs who were used for organ harvesting and that KFOR and UNMIK heads should also be brought to justice, since they were clearly informed about everything that went on, and did nothing to put an end to this, or to bring charges against the criminals.

Let me tell you about something related to this.

In my old blog, at beginning of 2008, I decided to change my niyyah for blogging from personal to educating others about Islam. Just like what I’m doing here.

Problem was, on Multiply, you could see who had viewed your posts. I kind of became obsessed with checking out who had viewed my posts. That’s when I knew that another not so good niyyah for blogging had developed: to seek attention.

It just kept on swaying between the two niyyahs: Share about Islam – attention – share about Islam – attention etc

Here in WordPress, I receive daily statistics. No names or faces attached to the people who have viewed this blog. Just numbers. That almost made me greedy at first; I worried about how can I increase the traffic to my blog.

Then I took a step back, and reminded myself of why I shifted here in the first place : it’s to spread the true Islam, not the misunderstood versions non-Muslims may have. The stats should not matter, nor should the number of comments.

I’m not seeking praise either. I kind of fear to be praised, it may lead people to form unrealistic expectations of me. In fact, I seek to be corrected if I’ve posted something doubtful or totally wrong.

I hope we can all now try to learn to realign our intentions for our deeds to be only for Him. I’m still trying to myself, so we’ll strive together okay?

Anyway, I wanna share with you one of my favourite web haunts. It’s this initiative by Young Muslims Canada called Friday Nasiha.

It’s like a weekly reminder series, and divided into three categories: Discussions on a verse of the Qur’an, the Sunnah and useful tips from books and websites. It’s really good, it’s like getting mini khutbahs every Friday

Here’s the Sunnah part for last week. Feeling slightly brain-dead right now so I shan’t discuss this but perhaps we can discuss through the comments

The Prophet (peace be upon him) once mentioned to his followers a covenant that the Arabs had concluded which had brought peace to their clans. He said that if he were ever invited to enter into such a treaty, he would do so. The treaty he spoke about had taken place before the advent of Islam.

It was a treaty which brought the people together at the same table to affirm their rights and their human dignity, and which put an end to the endemic warfare that they had been suffering from and that was consuming their lives and wealth.

Though the treaty took place before Islam, it was nevertheless in accordance with the innate moral sentiments that all human beings acknowledge. We all know that it is better to learn from one another and prosper. We all agree that hatred, conflict, and rancour are hated by God and condemned by mankind.

Clemency and flexibility in religious matters restore to people a healthy outlook, allowing them to live their faith in a way that is genuine and that accords with the nature that God has placed within them. It makes religion easy on the people, the way God intended it to be.

Once, a desert-dweller came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) complaining that Muadh prolonged the prayer too much. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked the desert-dweller: “What do you say in prayer?”

He answered: “When I offer my tashahhud, I say: ‘O Allah! I ask You for Paradise and seek refuge with You from the Fire.’ As for me, I am not good at droning on the way you and Muadh do.”

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said to him: “It is basically these things that we drone on about.” [Sunan Abu Dawud (22), and Musnad Ahmad (15333)]

We can see that the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not impose upon the man to memorize what was too difficult for him. He took into account the man’s abilities. Maybe he was an old man, or had a weak memory, or was poorly brought up.

It is significant that the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not interrogate the desert-dweller about his intentions. No doubt, the word the desert-dweller used to describe the prayer of Muadh – and of the Prophet himself – was quite unflattering and could easily have been construed as an insult. The Prophet (peace be upon him) did not take offence. Instead, with his answer, he comforted the desert-dweller and reassured him that the simple words he was using in his prayers were essentially what Muadh was saying.

Clemency and an easygoing nature should be the spirit of our personal conduct and our social interactions. This attests to the truth that our innate, easygoing religious awareness is better than imposing difficulties in religion. It is also farther away from the dangers of pretentiousness, conceitedness, and showing-off.

I’ve recently been reading a book regarding Hijaab and Subhan’Allah… I’ve learn so much. I will share it with you soon Insya’Allah.

As seen in the url this is from the Young Muslims in Canada.  The Young Muslims of Canada are motivated by the ideas of the Muslim Brotherhood. Why then should the above lines praising Izetbegovic be appearing on the website of the Muslim Brothers in Canada? Was Elija Izetbegovic not an apostle of democracy, American and Western type democracy to be precise? He was certainly sold like this in every newspaper in Europe and in America. Izetbegovic was a particular favourite of a certain Mr Oliver Kamm, just promoted to being a Lead Writer for the venerable Times of London!

Let us continue with the musings of the Muslim Brothers aka Young Muslims of Canada a little further, the writer a certain member of the Muslim Brotherhood called Ismail Royer.

“Do we want the Muslim people to leave their going-around-in-circles, their dependence, backwardness, and poverty?” Izetbegovic once wrote, “Then we show clearly which path will take us to that goal: establishing Islam in every field in the personal life of the individual, in family and society…and the establishment of a unique Islamic community from Morocco to Indonesia.”

For Izetbegovic, these were not just words; they were a plan of action that he acted upon his entire life.

In 1940, at the age of 16 he co-founded the Young Muslims, a religious and political group modeled on Egypt’s Ikhwan al-Muslimeen. Six years later he and his friend Nedzib Sacirbey were jailed by the communist government of Yugoslavia for helping publish the journal “Mujahid.” After their release, the Communists again cracked down on the young Muslims and in 1949 sentenced four members to death and jailed many more for their Islamic activism. In 1983 Izetbegovic was arrested again for disseminating “Islamic propaganda” and sentenced to 14 years in prison and was released in 1988.

It would seem unthinkable that such a man would ever become president of a European country. But in 1990, Izetbegovic was elected president of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the eve of that country’s descent into a David-and-Goliath war with Yugoslavia and Croatia. Instead of packing up his family and fleeing his country as it was overrun, as the leaders of one Persian Gulf nation recently did, he stayed to lead his people throughout the war from his sandbagged office and his modest apartment. In doing so, he became for the world the face of the Bosnian people’s struggle for survival in the face of genocide.

Izetbegovic led an army that managed to beat back vastly superior Croatian and Serbian forces. But he leaves another crucial legacy: for Bosnians, he took the shame out of being a Muslim. In Yugoslavia, regular visits to the mosque meant being snubbed for jobs in the Communist Party-controlled economy. Islam was demonized in history books, and practicing Muslim students could expect vastly lower grades regardless of how much they studied. Even the Arabic and Turkish words and expressions that enrich the Bosnian language were systematically removed and derided as “uncultured.”

But “Alija Izetbegovic succeeded in organizing Muslims as a nation in Bosnia,” Dr. Zuhdija Adilovic, a professor at the Islamic Pedagogic Academy in Zenica, told iviews.com in an interview. “This was the first time that Muslims had come to power in Bosnia.”

With that power, the president embarked on a policy of reaffirmation of Bosnians’ cultural identity. Today, children study their religion in public schools. Government employees, businessmen, soldiers, and university students can openly practice Islam with a sense of dignity. A worshipper in one of Sarajevo’s packed mosques today might find a street sweeper praying on his left side and the city’s mayor praying on his right.

In fact all of this was well hidden from the public but most of all who Izetbegovic really was was well hidden. This hiding of information is really one half of the story of Yugoslavia. Do not be confused, there are differing spellings to the name, but there is no doubt that the young Muslim Brothers of Canada are in fact saying that in the period from 1939 onwards, and especially from 1939 to 1945, (the importance of this will surely become apparent later) that Elija Izetbegovic was building a branch of the Muslim Brothehood in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

But we are all young once and we all do rash things. So was this a passing phase? If it was then our story here would have little relevance.

Once again the writer from the Canadian young Muslim Brothers to our help. Read again the above quote and you must agree that this was no youthful fling, in fact this is the decisive and dominating personality factor about Izetbegovic, he remained remarkably consistent from that until he expired, a period of some 60 years of conscious political Islamist activity.

Understanding Hasasan-Al-Banna’s Egypt

Hassan-Al-Banna, born in 1906 in the delta town of Mahmudiya, saw an Egypt completely dominated by England. By 1919 he was participating in nationalist protests. He and his family witnessed nationalist leader Saad Zaghloul calling for the withdrawal of the British and the granting of independence to Egypt. British high commissioners in Cairo, including the distinguished commissioner Lord Horatio Kitchener, had governed the country since 1882. Despite being granted independence in 1922, Egypt retained a de facto British high commissioner, who continued to dictate policy to King Fouad and his son King Farouk. England continued to treat Egyptians with contempt, using such racial epithets as “gyppos” and “camel jockey,” words that originated with British and Australian troops serving touts of duty in Egypt. Egyptians have typically been weaned on stories of English domination, some real, others exaggerated. One such story is about an English hunter shooting pigeons on an Egyptian farmer’s property. The farmer, seeing the birds he raised for food being killed, tried to persuade the hunter to stop. The hunter refused to acknowledge the farmer, so the farmer struck the Englishman, killing him. In relaliation, British troops razed the village, causing many deaths and casualties. Today, this town is called Damanhour (Flowing Blood) in commemoration.

Al-Banna’s childhood education consisted of an Islamic elementary education and learning watch repair, his father’s craft. His father, a graduate of Al-Azhar University, was the village’s Islamic leader. At the age of 12, Al-Banna was enrolled in primary school and began his association with Islamic groups. He also became a member of the Society for Islamic Morality, whose members were to adhere to a strict code of Muslim behavior, with frees imposed on those who cursed, drank, or smoked. This evangelism expanded to include a membership in the Society for Preventing the Forbidden. At 16, Al-Banna attended Dar-al-Ulum, an Islamic teacher’s training college in Cairo where he focused his studies on Tawheed (theology), Fiqh (jurisprudence), Arabic literature, and Kalam (modem Islamic ideology or theosophy). The Hasafiya Order of Sufism also attracted Al-Banna because of its strict observance of scripture, rituals, and ceremonies. He found a sense of cause and importance in joining the order, and he became its secretary, handling charitable social needs. However, his activities were limited to upholding Islamic standards and imposing them on others.

During his 5 years in Cairo, Al-Banna saw Egypt’s secular culture as immoral, decadent, and atheistic. He was alarmed also by the reforms of Kemal Attaturk, who abolished the Caliphate. Al-Banna worried that the 1925 establishment of secular Egyptian universities was the first step toward a Turkish-style abandonment of Islam. (1)

Al-Banna, finding like-minded men at his school and other universities, came under the influence of Sheikh Al-Dwijiri, who argued that Al-Azhar clerics were not capable of stemming the tide of Western influence. This idea was not new; it reflected the writings of Muhammad Abduh, saying that the Al-Azhar clergy were corrupt agents of the government and that any cleric who helped maintain colonial rule was to be considered illegitimate. The most influential person in Al-Banna’s life, however, was Sheikh Muhibb al-Din Khatib, a Syrian reformer who ran the Salafiya Library and helped found the Young Muslim Men’s Association. From Khatib, Al-Banna learned elements of organizing the masses and mobilizing disaffected youth. (2) Al-Banna graduated from Dar-al-Ulum in 1927 and proceeded to teach at a post in the port city of Ismailiah.

This is indeed remarkable in the sense that word for word this all could be describing the political praxis of Elija Izetbegovic, such as

So then, how come that this was the man who was picked out in the Balkans as the greatest moderate politician who ever lived and was sold like this to an unsuspecting mass public as the very gospel truth.

Well it was done by lies. Deceptively simple! But what is not so simple is the influence of the mass media on the minds of human beings in our modern age. The degeneracy of the people who promote these lies is not so simple to comprehend either. This series of essays will be about trying to get our minds around that latter phenomenon. We may only manage to scratch the surface of understanding this gigantic lying machine but if we even do that we will be happy.

To sum up this is the company that the representatives of US, German and British Imperialisms were keeping in the 1990s in the Balkans. Izetbegovic was their darling man. Everybody in the whole world was being asked to thing of Izetbegovic as a right decent old chap!

This is not essential to our story. But it is interesting nevertheless to follow what became of Ismael Royer. Whe he you may ask!

Remember the Young Muslim Brothers of Canada. Their illustrious author who informed us unambiguously that Izetbegovic was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood in Bosnia in the early 1940s. What became of Mr Royer anyway? This may help! It concerns an Australian Islamist called Butler but in essence it is about Royer.

The conviction of his friend and collaborator presented Amir Butler with a choice as well. And, without any hesitation Butler adopted Ismail Royer and his cause.

In the service of that cause Butler has presented a litany of flimsy legalisms, distortions and outright prevarications. Thus, in the 20 July 2003 edition of A True Word, Butler argued that Royer’s stint as a frontline jihadist combatant is irrelevant because it occurred before Lashkar-e-Toiba was banned. Of course, he conveniently neglected to mention that Lashkar is an al-Qaeda affiliate, and that Royer confessed to recruiting fighters to kill American troops after 11 September 2001.

Israpundit is a very important site for the Jewish people especially now that there has to be organized a great discussion on just how Israel can face up to its enemies.

The news which has emerged from a source within the talks going on between the Israeli ruling class of Livni and Olmert, with the Palestinian Arab fascists presided over by the US Imperialists of Bush, led in the talks by Rice, shows the enormous dangers which Israel and the lives of all Jews are in. This is why we on 4international are very critical of some of the discussions that are taking place there. The most recent issue is over the issue of apostasy and the general position of religion in the Jewish strugggle. Nobody really likes tackling this but it has to be tackled head on if we are to have the discussion necessary for the saving of Israel from its enemies.

Everything now revolves around the struggle which must end in the removing - quite urgently - of the Olmert regime from power in Israel and its replacement by a Jewish Government, which will stop these talks in their tracks, and will assert the independence of Israel against US Imperialism.

The cadre of 4international are very familiar with the political position of Israpundit because we have all written on Israpundit. So we are following with great dismay that Israpundit is now carrying out a policy of betrayal of the Jews. They certainly do not mean to, but that is the objective result of their political line.

While American Imperialism, that is the whole system and apparatus of the Government of American Imperialism, is intent on the destruction of Israel as an independent entity through the creation of a Fascist Palestinian state next door, Israpundit is lining up with McCain in the American election. All of these candidates, as we on 4international continually point out, represent the system of American Imperialism, all represent the interests of American Imperialism, and Jews have got not ONE friend within American Imperialism.

Israel and Jews have got very many friends among the American people but that is a different perspective which we shall return to.

As we have shown on our articles here, writers on Israpundit, such as Sultan Knish, are arguing the piece on behalf of the reactionary and Serb persecutor John McCain, buddy of Joseph Lieberman who in turn was and is a buddy of the Islamofascists around Izetbegovic in Bosnia and the Fascist gangsters of Thaci/Haradinaj in Kosovo.

An indication of this great betrayal of the Jewish people by Israpundit and its editor Ted Belman is that Israpundit has still, a month later, refused to come out and oppose the Canadian recognition of this Islamofascist excrescence mis-named “Kosova”, even though many writers from Serbia, the US and Australia have written extensively on Israpundit on this, for the edification and education of Ted Belman and Israpundit readers.

In the case of “new boy” to Israpundit - Sultan Knish – he has attacked Trotsky and has emerged as an anti-communist on Israpundit, telling major lies about Trotsky, sullying the name and historical record of Trotsky towards the Jews. Refusing to discuss these lies and their implication on the basis that we on 4international as Trotskyists have got “blood of Jews” on our hands. There could hardly be a greater calumny than that.

Bill Levinson is a clever old fox and he rarely enters debate on such issues. But to put it in a nut shell…Levinson is really representative of Bush on Israpundit. He is gearing to throw the full weight of Israpundit behind McCain.

Meanwhile another character called Yamit82 has emerged on Israpundit and as Belman sits still and does nothing, this person has actually called for the killing of “apostate” Jews on the pages of Israpundit.

This happened on the topic called “Obama is in bed with the Iraq Study Group”.

It is an important topic introduced by Belman, the Iraq Study Group being none other than the collaboration of the notorious Israel hating duo Hamilton and Baker, the latter being the US politician who issued the infamous words “Fuck the Jews anyway”. Actually I am not sure about the “anyway”, but the first 3 words are his and are quite enough.

This is what happened on Israpundit concerning the Yamit82 call for the killing/murder of Jews who do not quite reach the Yamit82 level of communion with God.

First of all I better explain there is a character commenting on Israpundit called H Peskin  who tends to follow the Olmert line, at least to some extent, in that he seeks a Palestinian State. We on 4international would naturally be entirely opposed to that political line and seek to oppose the setting up of a Palestine state, mainly through the forcing of the Olmert regime from power, and a new Government elected which will break off the Bush sponsored talks which go on at present.

I can open up almost any page in the old testament and read almost the same. Utter ignorance and nonsense.It is not a matter of comparing written texts that are very old. Rather it is a matter of how each religion dealt with the violent passages. In Judaism, they have been relegated to the past having to do with a specific time and place. They are no longer applicable either practically or religiously. The same can’t be said for Islam.

To equate compassion with loss of religiosity is indefensible, arrogant and self serving.

I am still puzzled by how Ted saw his answer in relation to Peskin, he appeared to be more agreeing with Peskin, and coming into opposition with the line of Yamit82, who maintains that these old texts really ARE the ticket.

The problem with the above answer by Belman for Yamit82 is that in a real way it tended to side with Peskin and against  Yamit82. This may have had the effect of enraging Yamit82. His sponsor on Israpundit - Ted Belman - has shown that he is not on his wavelength at all. (I am only speculating about this.)

But there is no speculation possible about what next followed because it all came out of the mouth of a (possibly enraged) Yamit82. It betrays a method of thinking of Yamit 82 that is of real concern. I will try to explain what then happened.

In comment #17 Yamit says this:

Most Jews in Israel would agree with my position here if they had a leadership that would seek to implement them. The so called left is so discredited here that all that is needed is leadership to put Israel on the right course. Secular Israel is a dieing Relic like communism, socialism and all the other false ideologies and Gods that the Jews always seem to gravitate to.

In the end all of those transitory beliefs get replaced with other transitory beliefs while Judaism, real Torah based Judaism is the only Island of consistency that has been unmovable for the last 2 thousand years.

There is no other reason for Jews to be in Israel except for Torah belief and belief in God. There is no other purpose to have a Jewish State except Jewish redemption. I see no reason for Jews living in a Jewish state not to have her own Jewish law and culture. That means the application of Torah law to the extent possible rebuilding the Temple and reconstituting the Sanhedrin. Now in my book you are the extremist and the nut case and I just a proud ex American, Jew living his dream in the Land of Israel.

And hard on its heels (for the sake of continuity I will skip the Yamit82 attack on ourselves as revolutionary socialists in the above) in comment #18 Yamit82 says this, TO PESKIN, whom of course is Jewish:

The relevant part of the reply by Peskin to this characterisation of him as an “apostate” Jew is this:

So with his head literally on the chopping block - if Wikipedia is to be believed (and it often should not) Peskin has thrown the issue back to Yamit82 whom had seriously brought up the charge of Peskin being an apostate Jew. This was Yamit82’s reply:

The key sentence above is, of course, “I for one would not be opposed to it in certain circumstances”. And I think that Yamit82 is starting to bluster a little. I think Peskin was aware that it was the future he was talking about and the kind of Israel that friend Yamit82 was planning.

So from Yamit82 a little banter perhaps to lighten the tone. But nobody was Laughing out Loud (!) nor should they. To be very charitable to Yamit82, his big mouth had landed him in a lot of hot water.

There the issue would rest and would be forgotten about except that our site, 4international, is committed to not brushing stuff under the carpet.

The words are from the lips of the man himself. He is writing a huge amount of material and is placing it on Israpundit. And he has called above for the murder of “apostate” Jews HAS HE NOT? We have quite a few writers on 4international who are of Jewish extraction and I think it IS a matter for us. I think that Ted Belman should bar Yamit82 from the Israpundit site and should return to the previous Israpundit policy of excluding religious discussion from the site. Ted Belman, there is no arguing with God, you know. That was once your stated position.

This issue centres on Judaism and how people see Judaism. We on 4international are very clear. Judaism is an ancient religion which is actually very tied up with Jewish nationalism, the very existence of Jews as a nation. Judaism, as Herzl learned, held the Jews together through long years of Exile. Without Judaism and the practice of Judaism there simply would be no Israel at all today, to defend. Period! But we also say that Judaism is a religion, it is not a revolutionary theory, it cannot possibly meet and overcome the threat to it of Fascism, which is a modern phenomenon linked in with the very decay and death agony of the Capitalist system, and JUDAISM SHOULD NOT BE ASKED TO DO SO.

This has got a very serious aspect, one which we on 4international have often dealt with.

In the 1930s Trotsky who was a dialectical materialist, philosophically opposed to all religious thinking, not just religion in an organized sense but also all idealist thinking, was deeply concerned with the fate of the Jewish people as they faced the Nazi onslaught.

In short the answer of Trotsky was to assert most strongly that Jews must get out of the killing fields of Nazi Europe. It was an issue of how to fight antisemitism. He saw antisemitism as being waged against Jews on an international scale (and in fact it was waged against Trotsky himself and the Left Opposition in the 1925 to 27 period by the Stalinist bureaucracy, which in that time was using antisemitism in the battle against Trotsky’s policies). So Trotsky saw no help coming to the Jews from any of the world Capitalist powers. How right he was as anybody who knows the history will agree.

Trotsky therefore said that Jews must make their way to Palestine where they must set up their own Jewish state, a space on earth which must be free from antisemitism. There Jews could practice their ancient religion free from molestation.

The only way to go in Israel as in everywhere else is complete separation of state and religion. That is not the case under Yamit82 obviously, and it is not the case either under the Stalinist/Labourist reformist repressive attitude to Judaism of the Israeli ruling class. It seems to us on 4international that they are in fact biassed against Judaism, and they are using the state machinery (Sharon in the Gaza forced withdrawal attacking religious settlers) to repress Judaism.

We on 4international have not moved a great deal from the position of Trotsky in those fateful days of the 1930s. We want a space, Israel, where Jews are completely free to practice their ancient religion, or if they feel so inclined, to not practice it either.

We have on 4international much confidence in the revolutionary potential of the great Jewish people of Israel. We will return to this because the recent poll which we have covered bears this out.

Our position has got the promise of Israel defeating its fascist enemies, the position of Yamit82, well what can we say, is simply atrocious. It tells the story of the great secrecy which exists, that the Olmert Government of Israel is very far advanced in betraying the whole future of the Jewish people in Israel, that the US Government is right at the centre of this conspiracy, and that just as in Croatia, Bosnia and in Kosovo it is the US Government (along with the EU/NATO) which is promoting Islamofascism. In these talks it is the Fatah Fascists of Abbas and the Hamas Fascists which the US is promoting. We call on the cadre and the readers of 4international to take this report from WND most seriously. Those of us who have lived in Northern Ireland will understand something of what is going on here. It is said that peace was achieved in Northern Ireland. That is complete rubbish. What happened is that the killers and reactionaries of the Provos were placed in governmental power along with the Fascists of the DUP, a group which helped spawn many organizations of Protestant loyalist killers of Catholics. That plan, the Good Friday Agreement, was carried through by much conspiratorial planning over many years, involving also the infiltration into the Provos of British state agents, TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL IN THE PROVOS. All talks were carried through in great secrecy. So therefore you can see immediately that the structure of the talks above is on the same basis: great secrecy, few people involved, the aim being a final announcement AND AGREEMENT SIGNED, THE SIGNING WOULD OF COURSE BE A PUBLIC OCCASION, BUT THAT PUBLIC OCCASION WOULD BE A FORMALITY. Having dealt with the great secrecy and undemocratic nature of these talks in the Middle East, which WND emphasises, let us go on a little further with their report:

The source said the U.S. pledged advanced training for thousands of PA security officers who would take over security in the West Bank and eastern sections of Jerusalem and operate in those territories instead of the Israel Defense Forces and Israeli police.

The U.S. previously has trained thousands of Palestinian security officers, including units in which known members of Fatah’s Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terrorist group serve. PA elections previously have been held simultaneously in both the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The source’s description of planned new elections only in the West Bank implied the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip would be treated as a separate entity

This will be the end of the road for Israel if a way is not found to stop this. Meanwhile the Jewish website which I know best carries out betrayal day after day. Jubilant Kosovo Muslims welcome their war criminal

Apr. 7–PRISTINA, Kosovo — Ramush Haradinaj’s victory tour headed into some harsh hills of this tiny new country.

His brawny motorcade of white and black SUVs rumbled through miles of farmland in western Kosovo that, nearly 10 years from war, still bear the scars of loss. Every half-hour, the former rebel commander once known as Rambo landed in another field of black granite gravestones.

Crowds turned out in their villages this weekend to applaud Haradinaj’s acquittal last week on war crime charges stemming from his years with the Kosovo Liberation Army, or KLA; Haradinaj arrived to shake hands among the family graves and to offer his own tribute.

“We are all here because of these people,” Haradinaj said, time and again, in the chill air. “Now the world knows what we know: This war was just. Our fight was just.”

A three-judge panel of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia cleared Haradinaj, the highest-profile ethnic Albanian to be sent to The Hague, of charges that the KLA persecuted and murdered largely Serb and Roma civilians in rebel attacks from March to September 1998.

In the remote villages where many former fighters live, Haradinaj’s brethren read the court ruling as a proper coda to their long battle for Kosovo’s independence from Serbia.

“It’s a great honor for us that he is back and that he is with us today,” said Selvije Fahmilladrovci, who stood in the damp grass of a cemetery where dozens of family members were buried. “We can’t separate Ramush from our brothers who died. We know what they fought for.”

At the bullet-scarred homestead of the Jashari family in the Drenica valley–where rebel fighter Adem Jashari and dozens of others died in battle with the Yugoslav army–old men allowed that the court gave new meaning to the deaths of so many.

Their people died as part of an honorable battle, they said, and Haradinaj was returned to them as a matter of justice.

“This place is part of Ramush himself,” 57-year-old Hasir Ahmeti said. “Seeing him brings back the memories.”

Decision upsets Serbia

The decision by the UN court at The Hague deeply upset Serbia, which has seen its share of former fighters indicted on war crimes linked to the bloody breakup of Yugoslavia.

In its ruling on Haradinaj and two of his fighters, the court found that the Yugoslav army was deployed on the ground by April 1998 and the KLA engaged in a battle. Civilian deaths, and notably those of Serbs and Roma or alleged collaborators among ethnic Albanians, were not of a scale to be judged as a broad attack on the civilian population, the court said.

All three men were acquitted on all counts on allegations of crimes against humanity. One of Haradinaj’s aides was convicted of two counts of torture and cruelty, among dozens of charges facing the men. He was sentenced to prison.

The court decision–roundly portrayed as an exoneration of the KLA by Kosovo’s political elite–comes at a particularly bitter time for Serbia. Less than two months ago, Kosovo declared independence.

Serbia has refused to recognize the independence. Serbs in Kosovo, who account for 1 of every 10 people in this country of 2 million, have been living an uneasy existence, unsure of Kosovo’s promises of democratic order and under pressure by Serbia’s hard-line leaders.

For those Serbs, Haradinaj’s two-day tour of villages could hardly be called a welcome sight.

Albanians celebrate culture

The red-and-black Albanian flag fluttered above every community. Ethnic Albanians in traditional dress danced through some streets. Only the biggest cities flew the blue-and-yellow banner of the new democratic Kosovo. Haradinaj’s every speech championed the sacrifices of the ethnic Albanian cause.

Haradinaj asked the crowds to continue to struggle for a strong Kosovo. “We have to be careful. We can’t be overjoyed,” he said during one stop. “There are all big tasks ahead of us.” Asked later about the image of ethnic Albanian fighters standing together under a flag that signaled the KLA cause, Haradinaj shook his head.

He made no excuses for paying respects to those who had changed Kosovo’s destiny.

Serbs in Kosovo who knew his political past–Haradinaj had been a regional prime minister for a few months just before his indictment–would understand his tour through this new Kosovo, he said. For three years, while under indictment, Haradinaj was restricted from political life.

The roadshow through the countryside was part sentimental journey and, with political aides all around, the dawn of a new political career for Haradinaj.

“We reach out and some Serb citizens know what we do–but they also tell us, ‘Keep this low profile.’ They don’t want to be easy targets for Belgrade,” Haradinaj said. “That’s it.

“But Belgrade has to think about what they do here. Are they working for the people here? … I don’t owe anything to Belgrade. They ruined our lives. What I owe them is this: that I will be a good neighbor,” he said.

The roadshow ended Saturday night with Haradinaj at his family home in the village of Gllogjan. He embraced his mother. He raised a glass of spicy raki with his father. He visited the graves of two of his brothers, resting among dozens of others on a hillside, before sitting down for a meal with a roomful of survivors.

It is completely impossible to silence Trotskyism in this period because - just as in 1933 - only the policies and political programme of Leon Trotsky, the great Russian Revolutionary Socialist leader, could have saved the lives of 6 millions of Jews who were to perish at the hands of the Fascist Nazis. The only snag in the road is the usual blind spot the Democrats have when it comes to Republicans, the sheer blinding hatred and rage that prevents them from thinking straight. Because the Democratic strategy is meant to beat Bush on the 3rd try and is poorly adapted to running against McCain. McCain was never Bush’s VP, though the Democrats will do their best to emphasize a close relationship that never existed. McCain has very different politics and ideas than Bush does. With “Change” as the defining mantra, all that’s left is for McCain to see if experience can trump phony optimism. It hasn’t with Democratic voters but it likely will with the American voter.

Sultan Knish is also writing for Israpundit (Editor Ted Belman) and he has just placed an article there, warning of Rice joining forces with McCain in the election, called “Fight a Rice VP spot now”.

The position of 4international is totally opposed to this political line. We on 4international have learned our lesson from Yugoslavia and it is of supreme indifference to Jews and Serbs who wins the US election. It is the system of Imperialism which is paramount, these presidents are all carrying out the requirements of that system. Editor Ted Belman of Israpundit now has at least two, three including himself, who are taking sides in this election. This is precisely the wrong message to be sending to Israel and to Jewish people today. On the one hand Belman pays lip service to the need for Jews and for Israel to be independent and on the other he is encouraging its reliance on a branch of American Imperialism. There is thus being created the sorry spectacle of Jews fighting over which particular Imperialist President would be best for Israel. You cannot win like that.

Sultan Knish writes above that “McCain has very different politics and ideas than Bush does.” But he does not articulate in what way McCain is different to Bush or in what way any of these US politicians are different, and in what way they are different in relation to the destruction of Yugoslavia, or to the issues facing Israel. You are left with the distinct impression in reading these that they are Republicans first - and supporters of Israel - second.

This is the great crisis in the ranks of those who are supporting Israel. They are all finding it quite impossible to make a break from American Imperialism.

Gerald A Honigman is quite an interesting writer, an excellent stylist, always well worth reading, always level headed, has rarely got any illusions in what faces Israel from the forces of US Imperialism (he does not use our terminology but the meaning is still the same). This from Honigman is interesting also on the same thread:

Honigman in his writing usually makes the fatal mistake of attacking the US State Department more or less solely, but this focus on the State Department usually in such writers fulfils the purpose of excusing the US Imperialist State as a whole. He does it earlier in this comment too but you can see in the above extract that Honigman is leaving Jews with the hope that something better will come along, that perhaps a different leadership (perhaps he means McCain) will do better by Israel.

The problems which all of these writers construct for themselves, and for their Jewish readers, is that they do not accept the system that they live in as one of Capitalism and of Imperialism. It is terribly basic, and a little tedious to have to raise it, almost like going back to primary school politics, but it is true. Not accepting that, they also are blind to the changing nature of Imperialism, a system changing every day, in explosive periods like the present, changing very rapidly.

Here on 4international we are making out a case for the policies and programme of Imperialism, and Imperialist powers like Britain, France, Germany and the US, to be Fascist in a definite sense. Leon Trotsky explained Fascism as a system of class rule based on the power of the mob (the enraged petty bourgeoisie and the lumpen proletariat). What we have learned from Yugoslavia is that that has its corollary in international affairs today. The international rules of the game, of states living with and even of fighting each other, have been dispensed with by Imperialism. That IS Yugoslavia in a nutshell. The same also applies to Israel where a Fascist and Antisemitic entity, the “Palestinian” state, is raised as a reward for Terror against Jews.

It matters not in the slightest for Jews, or for that matter for American ordinary people, who is the next President.

There is one other thing though which is most striking about Israpundit, about Knish, about Honigman, about Belman,  and that is their total paralysis when it comes to developing an independent practice, a paralysis which is fatal and leads to an abject pessimism.

It is actually a quite horrific reply from Knish because it is a horrific slur on the memory of Leon Trotsky, which is also a deliberate lie, part of the Big Lie method so disastrous for the Jewish people. The ideology of Trotskyism is not covered in Jewish blood. We refute that slur and that lie totally. We will deal with all of this in more detail at another time and indeed we have already clarified the principled position of Trotsky to all religion, and of course to Judaism, even from the earliest stages of workers power in Russia.

So it is a lie, and in the treatment of the issue and his answer to my enquiry, it is an evasion of the central issue which Jewish people today face. How can Israel survive and how can the Jews as a nation survive?

It is here that the great lessons of the period 1933 to 1945 have to be urgently drawn. This was the period of the menace to the Jews of Nazism, of Fascism, and it is in discussing this that opinions will sharply divide. It is clear that Knish does not even get to the starting blocks in this necessary discussion. The man is filled with bias. He is a communist hater. That is his starting point and he cannot budge from that.

So Knish cannot face up to this reality:

1. Judaism is a religion and philosophy of life. In the period from 1933 to 1945 it proved completely incapable of defending the Jewish people. In fact as a religion, not a revolutionary theory and practice of the modern period, it should not be asked to. It should not be asked to face up to the modern phenomenon and threat of Fascism, a product of the historical decay and death agony of Capitalism, the menace of our modern epoch, a menace which flows directly out of Capitalism and Imperialism in this specific period. We on 4international respect Judaism, we do not ask Judaism to do that which it is not able or created to do.

2. On the other hand in order to understand this modern phenomenon of Fascism you have to base your understanding on the theoretical and practical struggle of Leon Trotsky, and this struggle of Leon Trotsky combined also a struggle against the treacherous programme and practice of Stalin, later to become known as Stalinism. This represents in no way hero worship: what an abysmal thought! It is just that Leon Trotsky alone represented the political current to challenge and to fight against Stalinism, which was indeed the gravedigger of the revolution.

3. In concrete terms to save the Jews in the period from 1933 to 1945 it was necessary to take on board not Judaism, but the revolutionary theory and practice as placed before the whole world by Leon Trotsky.

4. Again in concrete terms this incorporated a call by Leon Trotsky to Jews to at all costs get out of Europe and in Palestine create their Jewish state, that is, the Israel to be.

5. Except that Trotsky insisted that this Jewish state should be made free from antisemitism (which we intend to explore on this site) the future Jewish leaders of Israel, who founded Israel, like Ben Gurion, definitely and most unfortunately did not do.

All of that is history. It is written down and sourced to the high heavens. Nobody can deny it. But it has been denied and distorted by many people, especially by the Imperialists, by the Stalinists who murdered Trotsky, and by the Fascist, Antisemitic Fake “Lefts” of today. Strangely enough in the above attack on Trotsky it is clear that Knish is also part of that mob, part of that dreadful distortion. Promoter in fact of the Big Lie.

But it cannot hold and will not hold. Israel is threatened with annihilation from a combination of enemies, from Imperialism, from the antisemitism of the Fascist Fake “Left”, and from the Islamofascists. It is vital that Jewish patriots come forward now to discuss seriously the way forward. We as a Trotskyist movement will not be silenced. That is impossible!

A poll carried out within the last month shows strong opposition to the positions that Secretary Condoleeza Rice and President Shimon Peres have repeatedly claimed are held by Israel’s Jews. It turns out that the Jews of Israel do not want the IDF to withdraw from most of Judea and Samaria, do not believe the Palestinian Authority is responsible or capable of stopping terror against Israel, do believe that Hamas is likely to topple Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank. Israeli Jews overwhelming oppose dividing Jerusalem and recoil at the idea of transferring sovereignty over the Temple Mount.

The telephone poll of a representative sample of 1,012 adult Israeli Jews was carried out by Maagar Mohot Survey Institute (headed by Professor Yitzchak Katz) on 18-26 October 2007.
Survey error +/- 4.5 percentage points. The poll was commissioned by the Israel Policy Center for Promoting Parliamentary Democracy and Jewish Values in Israeli Public Life. The Jerusalem-based center is headed by Prof. Yitzhak Klein, who also advises the Knesset Law Committee.

Moreover, in order to somewhat ease the embarrassment of having backed the wrong side — the side of al-Qaida, the narco-traffickers, the true genocidal xenophobists, and the criminal gangs — in Kosovo, the US is in some ways actively working to let Mr Haradinaj out of prison, so that he can “fight his legal battle from a position of freedom” [Preceding quote in italics by a US State Department spokesman].

There are reports from within the ICTY that the State Department would approve the release of Haradinaj, and had, in fact, agreed with Haradinaj in advance of his surrender to the ICTY, that a deal would be struck to ensure that he did not serve prison time for the charges he faced.”

The crime these Serbs had committed was going to the Sunday mass. It happened in Granovec, Kosovo, before the Yugoslav Serbian security forces intervened. This Kosovo Serbian family, here in the picture, was hacked to death by the US/NATO sponsored Islamist Nazi KLA in the summer of 1998. The woman in the picture was five months pregnant; the Islamist Nazi Albanians (KLA-UCK) after raping her, literally cut the baby (fetus) out of her womb with a butcher-knife. Now the United Nations is investigating him [Ramush Haradinaj] after a shooting incident, an investigation which the US has tried to interfere with. Here are the facts:
In June, 1999, Ramush ordered the killing of four members of FARK (Armed Forces of the Republic of Kosovo), a rival group to the KLA. As is Albanian custom, the brothers of one dead man went to the father of Ramush to ask for their brother’s bones. Ramush later that night went to the brothers, of the Musaj family, where a shooting incident took place.

Ramush was helicoptered to the US base in Kosovo, Camp Bondsteel and then to a United States military hospital in Germany to receive treatment. He is at present [March, 2001] in Washington, the guest of congressman Benjamin Gilman, raising funds for his political party before next October’s elections in Kosovo.
United Nations investigators into this incident claim that while Ramush was away, United States officials left [US military Base] Bondsteel, went to the village of Strellic, where the incident took place, and removed forensic evidence that Ramush had been present, including the act of taking bullets from walls.

United Nations police reports link Ramush to two well-known Albanian Mafia men, Naser Kelmendi and Ekrem Lluka. Lluka is suspected by UN police of being involved actively in the trafficking of drugs in Kosovo, Greece, Italy and Albania.

British military sources, who asked to remain unnamed, classified Ramush as “a psychopath”.

Massacre in the village of his birth

The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo was the commander of the district where several dozens of non-Albanians were killed in 1998

The village of Glodjane is located in Metohija, approximately seven kilometers from Decani and about 20 kilometers from the border with Albania. Glodjane is a purely ethnic Albanian village. In its immediate proximity in the village of Dubrava, at the beginning of which is a house belonging to the only non-Albanian family in the ten or so surrounding villages, some 100 meters from the last house in Glodjane, belonging to Eljmija Haradinaj. The Haradinaj family has been quite involved in crimes against Serbs.

The commander

“The local Albanians say that everything began when a police patrol leaving from Glodjane tried to stop and obtain the identification cards two young men, Rasim Selmanaj, an activist of the Democratic Alliance of Kosovo, and another young man whose name is not mentioned. According to another version of the story, the police opened fire on Rasim and the other young man when they refused to stop. According to the official report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of Serbia, on March 24, 1998 at 10:45 a.m., an armed terrorist attack was carried out against a police patrol in the village of Dubrava, Decani municipality, Kosovo and Metohija.”, it is stated in the report of the Humanitarian Rights Foundation (Fond za humanitarna prava – FHP) from May 1998. On that day, as confirmed by a KLA statement from May 1998, during “a successful operation against the occupier” near Glodjane, fighters Gazmend and Agron Mehmetaj and Him Haradinaj were killed. The police withdrew from the village at about 8:00 o’clock in the evening. After these clashes, the Kosovo Liberation Army established control points at the entrance and exit from the village and took control of it.

At the beginning of the same year, Ramush Haradinaj returned permanently from Switzerland to Kosovo and joined this Albanian paramilitary formation. His brother Daut was one of the key people of the KLA, responsible for its organization in the Metohija district. Daut was one of three members of the KLA who appeared for the first time in public in the village of Drenica at the funeral of a teacher killed by the Serbian police. At that funeral, he gave a speech in which he stated that the KLA officially exists. At the beginning of April, the command headquarters of the KLA, under the command of Hashim Thaci, appointed Ramush Haradinaj commander of the Metohija region. Haradinaj’s headquarters was located in Glodjane, where he was born, according to the book “Stories of War and Freedom” by Bardah Hamzaj, the deputy editor-in-chief of the Pristina daily “Zeri”, prepared in the format of a dialog with Ramush Haradinaj.

The crimes

Not knowing that his father had been taken from his house, on the morning of April 22, 1998, Novak Stijovic headed for the village of Pozar with the intent of accompanying his father to Decani. Stanisa Radosevic and his mother Rosa went with him in search of Slobodan Radosevic (the father) who one day earlier had decided to remain in the village of Dasinovac with Milica and Milos Radunovic and look after his property after the KLA took control of the village. In the village of Pozar, they were stopped by a group of armed Albanians. In a statement made for FHP, Novak said: “There were about 30 of them; we recognized them. They pointed guns at us. They searched us and said that they had to take us to the headquarters in Glodjane. One of them held a gun pointed at my head. On the road to Rznici, there were 50-60 armed civilians every 50 meters; from Rznici to Glodjane, everyone was in uniform.” All three were released later that same day but they were not allowed to go to Dasinovac to get Slobodan.

Almost all citizens who were stopped on any of the local roads in spring of 1998 were taken to the headquarters in Glodjane. In the headquarters in Glodjane, members of the KLA applied well-known methods. “They took us to the headquarters in the house of Nasim Haradinaj, abandoned back in 1990; we had heard that the owners were living in Sweden,” said Mijat Stojanovic in a statement for FHP. Stojanovic is the owner of the only non-Albanian house in Dubrava; on April 18 he was arrested in his house, together with his brother Dragoslav and cousin Veselin Stijovic, and they were taken to the headquarters. “We were forced to lie down on concrete. First they took Dragoslav into a small room where there were two chairs. There were two soldiers there and a third who interrogated him. Nemonaj Zici, whom I knew from before, ordered me to remove my clothes. Two of them beat me with clubs and rifle butts. This lasted approximately 40 minutes.”

The lake

In the general area of the village of Glodjane in the first half of September 1998 at least 39 bodies were discovered in various stages of decomposition. The bodies were found at three different locations on a collective farm in the village of Rznici, in a canal leading to Radonjic Lake and near it, and proximate to the canal in the village of Dasinovac.

During the course of events, after yet another clash between members of the KLA and the (Yugoslav) army and (Serbian) police on September 8, 1998, during “pursuit after terrorists and a search of the district,” as written in the official police report, 13 unidentified bodies of civilians of both sexes and various ages were discovered in the canal supplying Radonjic Lake.

The very next day the investigating judge of the District Court in Pec, Radomir Gojkovic, wrote a petition to the Institute for Forensic Medicine in Belgrade requesting the appointment of a group of experts for establishing the identity, causes and time of death and other data relevant for future activities in connection with the mass grave near Gl odjane. In the meanwhile, during the first phase of searching the district begun on September 11, at least 21 additional bodies were found. “During the first several days of the investigation the weather was dry, sunny and warm. Several days later it began to rain. The level of water in the canal rose significantly, carrying body parts, clothing and objects down the canal.”, it is written in the report. Several days later, five additional bodies were found. During the autopsy 12 of these bodies were identified. The bodies of the above-mentioned Radunovices and Radosevic, last seen at the end of April, were found near the canal in the village of Dasinovac. “Due to various stages of decomposition, it was not possible to establish the cause of death solely on the basis of the conducted autopsy. However, in 19 cases traces of wounds were found on the bones and there is no doubt that they are made by bullets fired from weapons of a small caliber. In 24 cases signs of mechanical weapons were found; in two cases there were traces of sharp mechanical weapons, while in three instances, according to the marks on the bones and clothes of the victims, they were exposed to high temperatures (bodies found in Dasinovac). Several objects on and near the bodies (metal wire and adhesive tape) suggest that some of the victims were first tied up and tortured,” it is written in the experts’ report on the cause of death. All the victims were killed during the period between April 1998 and the end of August of the same year, give or take a few days.

Proved: United States Associates With And Actively Supports Albanian Criminals in the Balkans As Evidence is Hidden

It has long been rumoured that the USA equipped, trained and dressed the KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army) for use against the Serbs in Kosovo. Such an instrument would give the USA leverage over a crucial area of Eastern Europe and would also placate the Albanian Mafia pressure groups in New York.

According to the website Who is Who and What is What in the Albanian Cause, Ramush Haradinaj is former commander in the KLA and former right-hand man of Agim Cheku, the head of the Kosovo Protection Corps, convicted war criminal. Formally, after a financial scandal, Haradinaj was removed from his post in KPC. His brother, Daut Haradinaj, former KPC commander for Metohija, is on U.S. President’s black list of Albanian terrorists.

On May 25, 2000, Haradinaj participated in the Gnjilane meeting (also attended by Agim Cheku, Murat Jashari, Shaqir Shaqiri, and Shefket Musliu). The goal of this meeting was continuing of war in Serbia and preparation for war in Macedonia.

Haradinaj’s main source of income is smuggling of tobacco and illegal drugs, under control of Naser Kelmendi and Ekrem Luka. On July 7, 2000, Haradinaj was wounded in the village Strelci, West Kosovo, and treated in an American Hospital in Germany. The motive for the wounding was inter-mafia conflict between the gangs belonging to Tachi-Haradinaj and Musaj families.

In 1999, the KLA unit under Ramush Haradinaj’s command killed 40 civilians from the Kosovo village of Glodjani and threw the bodies into the Radonjic Lake canal.

Slaughter at a Children’s Cafe

On December 14, 1998, six children were murdered when a masked gunman sprayed the Panda Cafe in Pec with bullets. The crime was so horrendous that even US Balkans envoy Richard Holbrooke denounced it. [Footnote 8]

‘”Because of its cruelty and its cowardice, this crime stands above all crimes,’ said Mirko Simonovic, principal of the slain teenagers’ school’. [Agence France Presse Footnote 8]

The KLA was behind the attack. But who in particular?

“…….His [Ramush Hajredinaj's] men already are suspected of carrying out the Panda Cafe murders, when masked rebels opened fire in December on a restaurant the city of Pec, killing six Serbian youths. His men also are suspected of shooting at U.S. diplomatic monitors…….” [AP 3-8-99 Footnote 8, my emphasis]

Hajredinaj was also apparently involved in a slaughter of civilians in the town of Glodjane. This time the victims included non-Serbs:

“Glodjane, further west in the Decane area bordering Albania, was fiercely contested by the Serbs and Albanians [during the year prior to the NATO takeover of Kosovo]. In September 1998 the Serbian media centre in Pristina claimed that the bodies of 34 people had been found in a canal there. They were a mixture of Serbian farmers, some gypsies and Albanians suspected of being collaborators. The local commander at the time was Haradinaj, now head of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo.” (‘Sunday Times’, London September 3, 2000, our emphasis)

How did Ramush Hajredinaj judge whether an Albanian or ‘Gypsy’ was a ‘collaborator’? Did it mean he or she was in the police or army? No, all that was required was to have good relations with Serbian neighbors, or speak out against the creation of a racially pure state, or work for the government, for example, as a forester. When officials met with Thaci and Hajredinaj in Washington, could it be they did not know who these men were? Frankly, that’s unbelievable.

“‘Washington knows what we want,’ he [Hajredinaj] added with a smile. ‘We’ve been clear from the very beginning’” [For full interview, see Footnote 8]

Clearly Haradinaj and Thaci are cut from the same cloth. They are not squabbling because one of them is yearning for multiethnic society. But they are in fact squabbling:.

“Hajredinaj might have damaged his standing by [...a] rash action he undertook on the night of 6-7 July in the village of Streoc, 5km south of Pec. The exact circumstances of his wounding are unclear, but it certainly was not an assassination attempt, as claimed in AAK party press releases. Hajredinaj led a small group, who went in the middle of the night into the family compound of the leader of the Musa clan. The Musas are a powerful clan and have not been on good terms with Hajredinaj for some time. He entered their family compound, armed – which in Albanian code is an insult and an attack – and, although it is unclear who opened fire first, he ended up wounded. Even if his health does not suffer, some may consider his political career to be over as the Albanians now see him as someone who breached the code of honour.” (‘Jane’s Intelligence Review’ September 1, 2000)

Ethnic Albanians in Kosovo are part of the Geg culture, also found in Albania. In an interview, Cedda Prlincevic, the former Chief Archivist in Pristina, Kosovo, describes an unusual feature of Geg culture:

“One book has a great hold over Kosovo Albanians. It’s called the ‘Canon of Leke Dukagjiniis’. It’s a 15th century text that spells out codes of behavior. It goes into great detail on how to carry out blood feuds, when and whom it is proper to kill. It lays out the proper methods to use when killing, rules and regulations and so on.

“And this Canon is alive among Albanians today, especially since the fall of communism. This is an intensely tradition-oriented culture. Blood feud is a constant threat for Albanians. Thousands of people in Albania and Kosovo cannot leave their houses because they are being hunted; even a child in the cradle might be marked for death as part of a feud. When ‘Jane’s Defense’ reports that Haradinaj insulted a powerful clan leader, this was a most serious matter. The insult may have been answered on July 11, 2000 when Sadri Ahmet Sheraj, Haradinaj’s wartime aide, was having a meal in Decani:

“UNMIK police said Sheraj, 46, was killed Tuesday afternoon in a restaurant in Decani by a gunman firing an AK47. UNMIK said the gunman was recognised by people at the scene.

“The killing was believed to be a follow-up to an incident in the home area of Haradinaj, a former guerrilla fighter turned politician. Haradinaj was injured in a grenade attack last Friday in a village near Decani.” (‘Deutsche Presse-Agentur’ July 12, 2000, )

But while Thaci and Haradinaj and their associates may derive their rules of behavior from a medieval Canon, they are fighting over modern prizes – such as the “control of certain petrol stations.” (‘Daily Telegraph’, June 12, 2000)

In other words, they are gangsters.

‘Jane’s Defense Review’ writes:

“[Thaci's] PDK has good links with Albanian exile groups in America, Switzerland and Germany, although the bulk of Thaci’s funding is now believed to come from racketeering and other crime-generated sources.” (‘Jane’s Intelligence Review’ September 1, 2000, my emphasis)

How blase ‘Jane’s’ is – as if it were reporting on networking among Business School grads. Gangsterism has become no big deal in Kosovo.

So is Kosovo simply being run by the Mob?

No, Kosovo is not simply being run by the Mob.

Quoting a secret UN report prepared secretly for Secretary General Kofi Annan, the ‘London Observer’ noted:

“The KPC stands accused in the document, drawn up on 29 February, of ‘criminal activities – killings, ill-treatment/torture, illegal policing, abuse of authority, intimidation, breaches of political neutrality and hate-speech’.”

“…Under the heading ‘Activities against minorities, including hate speech’, [KPC leader, former KLA boss Agim] Ceku is criticized for being present at a walk-out staged by Albanian members of the KPC when a speech was translated into Serbo-Croat – the language of the Muslim Slav minority suspected by the Albanians of collaboration with the Serbs.

“The report comments: ‘It was the clear opinion of those present that this was a premeditated action..’” (‘London Observer’ my emphasis)

Intimidation, expulsion of minorities and hate speech – a culture dominated by patriarchal clans – enthusiastic visits by British [fake]“Trotskyist” Vanessa Redgrave and photo-ops for feminist star Hilary Clinton – thousands of teenagers are forced into prostitution – and in the midst of all this, gangland killings. What a mix.

The UN has crossed Al Capone, the Ku Klux Klan and Ms Magazine. The offspring is Weird Fascism.

Poor Kosovo, what else will you suffer?
