I’ve started watching Yukan Club, thought it would be a good oppurtunity now, considering I’m sick. Sick on the FIRST real vacationsday, GREAT. Eitherway, when I read the info about the show, one thing about Bidou Granmarie made me go “HA, SERIOUSLY??”. He’s blonde, which isn’t very common i japan, but OF COURSE, it’s because he’s the son of a SWEDISH AMBASSADOR. Because ALL swedes are blonde, that’s a known fact (please, hear the sarcasm) I’m serious when I say that I know perhaps FOUR who’s natural blondes, my goshers!

But mostly I think it’s funny, eheheheh

I turned our television on and saw “gokusen 3″ is going to be aired on GMA7. I laughed. shocked maybe, but I’ve finished watching the series, and let’s give “gokusen 3″ 80%. I think the story is recycled [sorry gokusen fans]. but the drama’s main theme really caught my attention, “friendship”. PLUS, i just love “KUMIKO YAMAGUCHI:]]” and the drama’s genre are comedy and action:} yay~ fighto!

Gokusen3 holds another jhonny’s actor “Yuya Takaki” [Ogata on the drama], and yuya is popular in japan cause on his group the “hey say jump”. here in the Philippines, hsj is not so famous like arashi where “jun matsumoto”’s [gokusen1's shin sawada] group is.

:] after watching the update from gma7, I saw a blog saying that “nobuta wo produce” is going to be aired in abs-cbn2. I haven’t finished watching the series, cause i kinda don’t like “KAMENASHI KAZUYA” of KAT-TUN. PLUS the plot’s kinda weird. [sorry nobuta fans], but I like the girl lead “MAKI HORIKITA” the girl who disguised as a guy in the famous HANA KIMI JAPAN:]

I ranked this j-d as my favorite. the YUKAN CLUB. I really loved this show. funny, action filled, and some kind of mystery-solving stuffs. Yukan Club [leisure club] is a group of student leaders who are always bored and do stuffs that are extraordinary. They use their riches and fame for good. I really loved this vid. having two KAT-TUN members , “AKANISHI JIN” [shochikubai Miroku in the drama] and “JUNNOSUKE TAGUCHI” [Bidou Granmarie].

Handling: Ett gäng välbärgade ungdomar spenderar sin fritid och sina pengar på att jaga mysterium och söka spänning. De är högst upp på St. President Gakuens alla skolelevers must have-lista, och de kallas för Yukan Club på grund av sin sorglösa vardag.

Kommentar: Yukan Club har ingen röd tråd. När man kastas in i första avsnittet känns det som att man hamnat mitt i säsongen – och om så vore läget spelar egentligen ingen roll. De olika avsnitten har ingen direkt betydelse för varandra och den fullkomliga avsaknaden på relationsutvecklingar huvudkaraktärerna sinsemellan gör att det aldrig blir ens det minsta engagerande. Några av karaktärerna, så som playboynarcissisten Bido och manshatande Noriko, gör jdramat värt att uthärda och får en att dra på smilbanden – men inte mycket mer. Varenda gång Yuri gör entre vill jag stänga av volymen och drömma mig bort någon annanstans där lugn och ro råder, och få slippa den överstereotypiserade hungriga ettriga dumma pojkflickan. Visst, Yukan Club är stundtals riktigt roligt, och det är underhållning – men på en alltför hög decibel- och irritationsnivå för att orka intas i för stora doser.

Favoritkaraktärer:
Bido Granmarie (Taguchi Junnosuke): Jag älskar hur jättejapanska Bido framstås vara (åtminstone delvis) svensk, bara genom att sätta på honom en blond peruk och isblå linser. Att han dessutom har sina catch phrases på franska gör det hela ännu mer förvirrande. Men åh, jag faller pladask för Japans svar på Dorian Gray – narcissisten i sin fulländade bemärkelse.
Hakushika Noriko (Kashii Yu): Med Norikos magiska slap-teknik förvandlas alla tafsande män till mos, med en ilröd signaturhandflata på kinden.

Schon wieder ein Anime zu Ende, diesesmal der wohl einzigst gute Sport-Anime des vergangenen Jahres: Over Drive.
Zur Zeit siehts mit dem Anime-Markt in Deutschland leider garnicht rosig aus (ADV-Europe geschlossen, Tokyopop stellt Anime-Vertrieb ein), dennoch blitzen hier und dort auch mal positive Nachrichten auf: Deathnote wurde lizensiert. Wer die Lizenz hat, ist aber leider noch nicht raus.

Unfall-Statistik: Yeha, nach langer Zaudern wurde nun endlich die 100er Spam-Grenze überschritten. Domo Arigatou!

Sunohara ist schwul. Jetzt ists raus. Jemand, der die Katze seiner Vermieterin pflegt und auf das von einer fremden Person vorgelesene Horoskop hört, muss ja die ein oder andere Schraube locker haben. Nagisa kriegt einen Drohbrief und gesteht es nun endlich Tomoya. Gähn.

Kimikiss Pure Rouge #16


Sakino und Kai können einem wirklich Leid tun. Er weiß nicht, warum Mao ihm gegenüber immer wieder so abwesend ist, und Sakino kommt Aiharas Geheimnis auf die Schliche. Futami macht zur Abwechslung mal einen richtigen Schritt und beendet ihre einseitige Beziehung zu Aihara.

Minami-ke Okawari #03


Vielleicht leide ich an Gesichtskrämpfen, vielleicht ist es bei dieser Episode auch einfach nur eingeschlafen. Es ist kein gutes Zeichen für eine Comedy-Show, wenn man einen Witz schon eine halbe Minute vorher erkennt, bevor er überhaupt ausgeführt wurde, so geschehen bei der Balkon-BH-Szene. Chiakis Kana-Schlägerein finde ich überhaupt nicht mehr lustig, sondern einfach nur dumm. Das gewisse Etwas fehlt. Die geschwärzten Nebendarsteller sind die dümmste Idee seit… seit… seit man Socken ausstopft.

Over Drive #25+26


Das Rennen ist vorbei, also her mit der Siegerehrung, die allerdings in einer handfesten Schlägerei endet mit Hyoudou im Krankenhaus. Dann werden die Rennergebnisse samt Zeiten ausgehängt, doch Shinozaki wurde aufgrund seines zu großen Zeitabstands um Vordermann disqualifiziert.


Asahi tritt dem Rad-Club bei. Danach führt Teraos Vater das Team zum Essen, setzt sich aber nachdem die weibliche Begleitung sich neue Klamotten ausgesucht hat, klammheimlich ab.Kurosuke kriegt noch ein paar Comedy-Einlagen spendiert (Brillenkomplex, Schuhsandgrab). Dann gibts Bowling, Karaoke, Feuerwerk. Und für Shinozaki Unglück im Glück Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass Over Drive einer der wenigen Sport-Anime ist, die nicht aufgrund ihrer Inszenierung überzeugen, sondern vorallem aufgrund seiner tollen Charaktere. Ich hoffe, ich konnte jetzt ein paar überreden, sich doch mal reinzustürzen ^__^

Persona Trinity Soul #04


Ich hätte auch gerne so eine tolle Holo-Tastatur samt Monitor mit USB-Anschluss… doch zurück zur aktuellen Folge. Shin und Jun graben in ihrer Vergangenheit und bringen dabei das letzte Buch ihrer Eltern zutage. Ryo ist damit beschäftigt, beide loszuwerden. Doch als Jun verschwindet, müssen die beiden großen Brüder sich wieder aufrappeln und nach der Wal-Feder suchen. Schöne Episode, doch liegen da noch so einige Dinge bezüglich Yuki/Jun im Dunkeln. Ich will mehr wissen!

Rosario + Vampire #04


Schön auch, dass Gonzo nun noch etwas mehr über sich selbst, speziell die Qualität der Bouncing-Animations lachen kann. Tsukune macht diesmal auf Emo und will abhauen… zumindest denken das alle. Der Fanclub unser drei weiblichen Main-Chars ist nun hinter ihm her, wenn auch nur für 80 Sekunden.

Spice & Wolf #03


Diesmal beweist Horo ihren Geschäftssinn und mir damit, dass mein Englisch immernoch nicht gut genug ist. Ist aber auch wirklich kompliziert, bei den vielen Händlerbegriffen. Lawrence wird ordentlich über den Tisch gezogen und wir lernen seinen Freund Weiz kennen.

True Tears #04


Ai trifft sich mit Shinichiro, was in einer relativ einseitigen Shopping-Tour endet. Noe erzählt uns, wie sie ihre Tränen verloren hat. Einfach zu schön, um wahr zu sein.

Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei #03


a.f.k. hat jetzt wohl ne Armada an Übersetzern, anders kann ich mir die rasche Veröffentlichung garnicht erklären^^ Das erste Drittel gibts Fanservice, Yaoi und ein Radio-Drama vom Night Watch-Club. Drittel Zwei macht uns klar, dass wir uns unserer Pflicht stellen sollen und am Ende wird nochmal gewaltig überdramatisiert. Das neue alte Opening ist nichts fürs schwache Mägen, wohl aber ein Spaß für Anatomie-Studenten.

Yukan Club #05


Dieses Mal müssen Yuri und Seishiro dranglauben. Yuris Mutter kommt auf die Idee, ihre Tochter zu verheiraten, welche sich davon wenig begeistert zeigt. Seishiro nimmt an, vom Geld geblendet, und strafft Yuris Essenszeiten (und ihre Möglichkeiten, schreckliche Klamotten zu tragen ). Am Ende gibts noch einen Kampf zwischen Miroku und Seishiro, wäre ja sonst langweilig.

Endlich (und auch leider) ist nun auch die letzt große Herbst-Show (von Clannad mal abgesehen) zuende gesubbt wurden.

Für die Wissbegierirgen unter den Google-Nutzern, die sich ab und an in meine Statistik verirren: “was ist ein hachiko”? Tja, manche meinen, es wäre weiblichen Geschlechts, hätte früher auf den Namen Nana gehört, wurde allerdings aufgrund der Verwechslungsgefahr mit einer anderen Nana (7) in Hachi (8) umgetauft. Wegen ihrer freundlichen (bzw hundeähnlichen) Art nannte man sie dann Hachiko. Nein, das wird nie als 1 Million-€-Frage bei Wer wird Millionär drankommen.

Clannad #14


Scheinbar geht KyoAnis Animationsbudget langsam zur Neige… Die erste Hälfte kann man im Schlaf verbringen, die 2. ist dagegen deutlich besser. Der Garten wird fertig und es ist Zeit für einen Geburtstag. Der alte Mann taucht wieder auf mit einem Geschenk für Kotomi. Solide.

Kimikiss Pure Rouge #15


Wer bis hierhin durchgehalten hat, darf stolz auf sich sein: Episode 15 ist gut, und macht alles richtig, was die vorhergehenden 14 falsch gemacht haben. Oh, und es gibt ne kurze Strandszene Kouichis Mutter entpuppt sich als sehr zuvorkommend und Mao muss nun als Ersatz für Yoshino im Film mitspielen.

Minami-Ke Okawari #01 + 02


Obligatorische Onsen-Folge. Doch vorher werden noch Neujahresgrüße ausgetauscht und Haruka beweist ihr non-existentes Talent im Kartenlesen. Danach ein Haufen Traps und Fan-Service. Bei mir zündet der Humor (noch) nicht so wirklich. Die Animationen sind teilweise hölzern, und mit den größeren Augen kann ich mich auch nicht so recht anfreunden.


Okay, Okawari ist der Loser der Saison. Was falsch gemacht werden konnte, hat man so richtig in den Sand gesetzt. Die Witze sind nicht lustig, und die Charaktere wirken wie Abziehbilder ihrer Vorgänger in der 1. Staffel. Not funny.

Moyashimon #10 + 11


Die Gothic-Lolita entpuppt sich als der entflohene Kai. Anschließend darf Sawaki für Hazuki noch nen Teppich schleppen. Doch am nächsten Tag gibt es eine unheimliche Entdeckung: Sawaki hat die Fähigkeit verloren, die Moyashis zu sehen.


Hasegawa treibt Sawaki in die Enge und sorgt damit mal wieder kräftig für negatives Gefühlschaos. Doch am Ende gibt es Besserung: er kann sie wieder sehen. Eigentlich schade, dass es nun vorbei ist. Mir sind die Moyashis, speziell Chrysogenium, sehr ans Herz gewachsen. Let’s hope for a second brew!

Persona Trinity Soul #03


Die Charaktere tauen endlich auf! Ein paar Jungs spielen mit dem Feuer und kommen darin um. Shin wird von einem Polizisten beauftragt, die Liste über die verschwundenen Schüler zu besorgen, die sich in Ryos Besitz befindet. Starker düsterer Tobat.

Rosario + Vampire #03


Diesmal lernen wir, dass gefärbte Haare gegen die Schulordnung sind. Und zu kurze Röcke, was eigentlich zur Folge hätte, dass es diese Serie garnicht geben dürfte. Man soll nicht nach der Logik suchen, bei Rosario wird man unterwegs eh nur abgelenkt. 3 Echsen stellen diesmal die Monster of the Week, die die kleine cosplayende Hexe Yukari verspeisen wollen. Sie haben 59 Sekunden durchgehalten. Oh, und Love-Quadrat absofort. Die Serie ist zur Zeit einfach eine herrliche Abwechslung, da sie sich so gerne über sich selbst lustig macht, und wo haben wir das sonst momentan? Ich bin gespannt, wie lange Tsukunes Gehirn die generelle Blutunterversorgung noch durchhält…

Spice & Wolf #02


War ja fast schon zu erwarten, dass sich die Show, mit der man am wenigsten rechnet, sich als großer Bringer herausstellt. Es geht so schön weiter, wie Episode 01 geendet hat. Es regnet, also wird in einem Kloster übernachtet, wo Horo und Craft auf einen zwielichtigen jungen Mann treffen, der ihnen Geldspekulation anbietet. Er will sich mit ihnen in einem Ort treffen, also brechen die beiden dann auch auf. Unterwegs wird noch unschön in Crafts Vergangenheit gegraben. Schöne Farben, gute Musik, und Fanservice, der nie aufgesetzt wirkt. Hatten wir das überhaupt schonmal? Interessant auch, dass sich der Tauschhandel scheinbar erst nach den verschiedenen Währungen entwickelt hat.

Tokyo Marble Chocolate – Girl’s Part


Girl’s Part dreht sich natürlich um Chizuru, die bisher kein wirkliches Talent in Sachen Beziehungen hatte. Und nun will sie sich auch noch von ihrem aktuellen Freund Yuudai trennen, doch erstens kommt es anders, und zweitens als man denkt
Chizurus Hälfte stopft die verbliebenden Logiklücken von Boy’s Part und ist dabei genauso anzusehen und -hören.

True Tears #03


Überspringen wir dieses mal einfach die berechtigte Lobhudelei und kommen gleich zur Episode: Noe verteilt weiter die Vogelbeeren, wovon Shinichiro sich garnicht erfreut zeigt. Als er dann auch noch feststellt, dass sie einen Freund hat, ists um ihn geschehen. Nachdem er sie aber nach einem erneuten Baumabsturz ins Krankenzimmer bringen will, was aber mit einem Abstecher in die Turnhalle endet, entpuppt sich ihr Freund als ihr großer Bruder. Ab sofort verlange ich in jeder gut animierten Romance-Serie mindestens eine tolle Sport-Sequenz per Episode ^__^

Honey and Clover #01


Nach dem todlangweiligen Film habe ich bei der Live Action-Serie mit dem Schlimmsten gerechnet, und wurde dann doch positiv überrascht. Mayama, Takemoto (diesmal das Nesthäkchen der Truppe) und Morita (dem man nun seine Andersartigkeit und seine Job-Abwesenheit genommen hat) hat man nun zum Bakka-Trio umfunktioniert, die auch nicht vor Curry-Diebstahl an der Uni zurückschrecken. Ayumi ist weiterhin die wohl unbesiegbare Töpferin, für Hagumi hat man leider eine Darstellerin ausgewählt, die viel zu groß ist und in den wenigsten Szenen wirklich Emotionen rüberbringen kann. Hanamoto ist so cool wie eh und je.

Yukan Club #02 – 04


Yuri leidet mal wieder unter Langeweile, also nutzt sie die Gelegenheit, und lässt sich von einem älterne Herrn samt Sohn kidnappen. Dochj die sind so garnicht die typisch fiesen Verbrecher, sondern müssen für die Operation der Frau/Mutter Geld zusammenkratzen, dass ihnen kurz zuvor von einem Yakuza abgeluchst wurde. Klar, dass der Yukan Club mal wieder das Unmögliche möglich macht. Ein bissel Kitsch, viel Fun. More!


Karen ist der Ansicht, lieber nen reichen Mann heiraten, als einen armen liebenswerten Loser. Genau der gleichen Ansicht ist auch die wiedergekehrte Yoshinogawa, die demnächst einen Firmenbesitzer heiraten will. Ganz so einfach ist natürlich alles nicht, mit in die Sache sind noch ein alternder Yakuza-Chef auf der Suche nach seiner Tochter sowie ein Freund Seishiros verstrickt. Diesmal gibts Verfolgungsjagden in Brautkleidern, Sushi-Restaurants, Herzinfrakte und unbändigen Hunger.


In Episode 04 steht Bidou im Zielkreuz einer liebeskranken alten Dame, einer Familie, die an ihr Geld will, mordlüsterner Puppen, und Geistern. Lohnt sich alleine schon dafür, um Bidou mal leiden zu sehen ^__^ Und Karen beweist Geschmack: sie hat das Cutey Honey-Opening-Theme als Handyklingelton.

Der Titel deutet es an, dieses Mal gibts ganz leckere Kost aus dem Hause Gainax. Und weil ich euch damit nicht warten lassen wollte, gibts den Beitrag schon heute.

Abteilung lustige Statistik: “russisches gefängnis” und “wetterbericht 2007. dezember 31.” waren Suchbegriffe, die direkt auf meinen Blog geführt haben. Wieso? Wüsste ich auch gerne ^_^
Die Person, die wissen will, ob es nun “Flagge heißen oder hissen” heißt, empfehle ich einen Duden oder gegenenfalls einfach beim Deutschlehrer nachfragen.
Und für denjenigen, der wissen möchte, wann Macross Frontier startet: ich habe bisher kein offizielles Datum gefunden. Aber ich leide mit dir :/

Rebuild of Evangelion 1.0: You Are [Not] Alone


Verdammt, ist das geil. Ich konnte ihn zwar bisher nur in einer RAW mit guter Bildquali (die bei den dunklen Szenen aber kräftig abstinkt), aber durchwachsenem Ton genießen, aber selbst so ist er eine Pracht (wenn man mal einige Szenen außer Acht lässt, die so wirken, als hätte man sie aus ‘95-Serie übernommen). Offensichtlichste Änderungen: Unit 01 hat ein paar neue Neon-Platten gekriegt, alle Schüler nutzen häßliche rote Laptops, das Prog-Messer sowie der 5. Engel wurden neue gestaltet, Shinjis “Ich will nicht mehr Phase” fast auf 0 bzw. eine “Überzeugungs-Szene” im Zentral-Dogma runtergekürzt und (um das Budget aufzubessern) ein Überangebot an Product-Placement: das reicht von Chips und Bier bis zu FullHD-Camcordern. Interessant ist das Auftauchen von Regenbögen nach dem Tod jedes Engels, ebenso scheint das LCL eine gewisse Destruktivität gegenüber Gendous Brille entwickelt zu haben und Kaworu hat ebenso schon seinen ersten Auftritt. GAINAX-typisch gibts auch ordentliche CGI, die einige der tollsten Kamerafahrten seit langem ermöglichen (die Wiederauferstehung Neo Tokyos, Start des Evangelions, die Notsprengung eines kompletten Stadt-Viertels). Einige Schönheitsfehler gibts aber trotzdem: an manchen Stellen hat man das alte NERV-Logo verwendet, obwohl man hier und da auch immerwieder das neudesignete sehen kann, hinzu kommen desöfteren auch mal unschöne Animationen, was bei so einer teuren Produktion eigentlich nicht vorkommen dürfte. Auf die Ohren gibts den altbekannten OST von Shiro Sagisu, neu eingespielt vom London Studio Orchestra. Stimmenmäßig gibts gewohnte Kost vom alten Cast.

Clannad #13


Hab mich lange genug davor gedrückt, in der Hoffnung, dass ich doch noch einen Einfall für ‘nen Eintrag finde. Ist aber leider nicht passiert. Über sowas Trauriges kann ich mich nicht lustig machen, und ich wollte nicht wieder eine stupide Nacherzählung schreiben… Tomoya ist ca 70% der Folge damit beschäftigt, Kotomis Garten zu entkrauten, der Rest hilft mit. Wird sicher ein toller Geburtstag, dazu gibts noch einen Fitzel Erinnerung seitens Kotomi an ihre Eltern.

Kimikiss Pure Rouge #14


Ich stelle es mir ziemlich anstrengend vor, Futamis Gesicht in jeder Szene so unglaublich emotionslos zu zeichnen. Aber ansonsten war es mal wieder eine der besseren Episoden mit stärkerer Zentrierung auf Aihara. Mao kriegt von Kai eine Eintrittskarte für seinen ersten Live-Gig. Die Hauptrollen für den Film stehen nun auch fest: Hoshino und Kouichi, wir haben es ja alle geahnt…

Moyashimon #07 – 09


Obligatorische Schulfest-Episode. Dafür aber auch genial: der Studentenrat riegelt die Uni ab, und stellt bestimmte Regeln auf, damit es endet, die nur leider jeder von alleine rauskriegen muss. Das das Ganze noch haarsträubender wird, dürfte klar sein. Harisen und Kürbisballons sind die diesjährige Mode, und Sawaki und Anhang sind hinter nem Liebeselixier her, wofür sie allerdings 100000 Yen zusammenkratzen müssen, und die gibts fürs Kommitee abschlachten…


Am 3. Tag steht der große Endfight an, doch der Bigboss entpuppt sich als Robo, der aber dank gezogenem Stromkabel in 0,Nix erledigt ist. Und dann heißts her mit dem Liebeselixir, dass allerdings nicht so ganz die gewünschte Wirkung erzielt… “Can i trim your nose hair?” Merkt euch Kinder, trinkt nie zuviel Sake, es könnte schlimme Folgen nach sich ziehen.


Slice of Life-Episode für Hasegawa. Die gestiegene Grad an Ernsthaftigkeit tut gut. Und Mikroben als Weckservice, warum nicht? Dazu kommt noch Werbung für Surströmming, wie man ihn richtig öffnet und wozu man ihn bei einem peinlichen Restaurantbesuch nutzen kann.

Persona Trinity Soul #02


Mehr interessante Nebencharaktere, tolle Idee mit der Schatten-Extraktion. Man erfährt aber immernoch viel zu wenig (sollte man vielleicht doch mal die Games spielen?). Aber ein fieser Cliffhanger am Ende der Episode. War gut, hat aber immernoch viel Spielraum nach oben hin.

Rosario + Vampire #02


Herrlich, einfach herrlich (sofern man den Humor mag, natürlich). Dank der Fledermaus wunderbar selbstironisch (72 Sekunden für den Endfight in dieser Episode), mehr Klischee-Charaktere und mehr Szenen aus dem verrückten Alltag der Monster. Und ein Bösewicht, der am Ende in Tränen ausbricht, erlebt man auch nicht alle Tage. Aber das Opening ist hausgemachter Schrott.

Tokyo Marble Chocolate – Boy’s Part


Production I.G. schafft es immerweider, mich zu überraschen: hab ich mich nach den ersten Trailern schon gefreut, ist das Endergebnis noch eine ganze Ecke besser. In den Hauptrollen dieser zweiteiligen Romance-OVA (Girl’s Part folgt nächste Woche von meiner Seite) stecken Nana Mizuki (u.a. Touma in Minami-ke) und Takahiro Sakurai (u.a. Robespierre in Chevalier, Ichitaka in I’’s), das erfrischende Charakterdesign stammt von Kyoji Asano, der bisher nur als Animation Director in Erscheinung getreten ist. Regie führte Naoyoshi Shiotani, der den meisten wohl wegen seines wunderbaren 3. Openings zu Blood+ bekannt sein dürfte.
Die Handlung dreht sich um Yudai, einen liebenswerten Trottel, der seiner Freundin Chizuru endlich seine Liebe gestehen will. Doch erst gibts beim Geschenk eine Verwechslung und dann verschwindet sie auch noch. Lustig, tragisch, aber zu jederzeit unterhaltsam: ansehn!

True Teras #02


True Tears entpuppt sich für mich nun endgültig als neuer Meilenstein des Genres: die Musik reißt einfach nur mit und gibt einem das Gefühl, sich sofort heimisch zu fühlen. Die Sprecher sind die perfekte Wahl gewesen und auch sonst macht es so unglaublich viel Spaß, wie schon lange keine Romance-Serie mehr.

Zoku Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei #02


Sehr geniale Idee von Shaft, die ersten 8 Minuten in einer außerirdischen Sprache abzuhandeln und dann gleich 2 mögliche Übersetzungen anzubieten (was einen natürlich dazu zwinge, die Episode zweimal zu sehen). Weiterhin tritt Nozomus großer Bruder Kei auf und Nozomus “alter” Freund, ein Anhänger des Alteismus.

Yukan Club #01


Hab ich nicht so schon genug zu tun, nein, ich muss mir auch noch ein Jdorama reinziehen. Und es ist lustig, oh ja. In Japan ist die Serie zwar Mitte Dezember ausgelaufen, aber das ist kein Grund, nicht doch mal ein Auge drauf zu werfen. Yukan Club besteht aus 6 schwerreichen Schülern: Miroku, Sohn eines Polizeiinspektors und schrecklich vernarrt in sein Motorrad, Seishiro, der Sohn eines Krankenhauschefs, Granmarie, Vater ist der schwedische Botschafter und selbstverliebt in seine eigene Schönheit. Dazu kommen noch Yuri, die an dem ein oder anderen Tag auch mal einen Elefanten verdrückt, Noriko, Tochter eines Malers mit schrecklicher Angst vor Männern und schlußendlich Karen, deren Traum es ist, eines Tages einen reichen Mann zu finden. Das klingt jetzt alles nach purem Klischee, nimmt sich aber zu keiner Zeit Ernst, was es nur noch witziger macht. Episode 1 dreht sich um die Sabotage eines Tanzwettbewerbs, den der Yukan Club natürlich versucht aufzuklären. Dazu gehört Hunderettung, ungewöhnliche Kleiderordnung sowie das Verlieben in den Gegner. Einfach mal nen Blick drauf werfen ^_^

Yukan Club is a Japanese drama that aired the fall of 2007. It was broadcasted by NTV on Tuesday nights. Fairly popular, it got average ratings of 12.6%. Its theme song was Keep the Faith by KAT-TUN.

Basically the story is about six rich kids who are always bored, which sounds kind of stupid (not that it is particularly intelligent) but leaving it at that wouldn’t be giving it the credit it deserves. The six main characters all have well known parents and each have their own strength. Shochikubai Miroku is the son of the police commissioner. He likes autos and martial arts and has some serious connections. Hakushika Noriko is the daughter of a famous painter, and her mother comes from the traditional tea ceremony world. She’s an extremely well-bred rich girl but really hates men. Kikumasamune Seishiro is the son of a well known hospital’s owner. He’s very intelligent and is also a martial arts expert. Kizakura Karen’s mother is a jewel dealer; she hopes to marry into riches. Bido Granmarie is the son of the Swedish ambassador and is a huge playboy. Kenbishi Yuri is the daughter of the world renowned President of Kenbishi Corp.; she’s hugely energetic and loves food more than anything in the world.

Each episode is a stand-alone story that involves the principal threatening to expel them all for some reason. Then the gang decides to get involved in something that will help them pass time, but turns in to something bigger than they thought. In the end, they prevail, but break the rule that the principal has set and will be expelled. Fortunately, the director of their school always saves them from being expelled.

Generally, the stories are not too serious, but they often involve someone with a lot of power abusing it. Even though there is this heavy aspect to it, the characters are very manga-ish (not surprising, though, since Yukan Club was originally a manga) and keep the story from becoming somber. The interaction between all the characters is super fun and all the things they get involved in can become very exciting at some points.

At the very least, Yukan Club is about six rich kids who poke their noses into everything and happen to always be very lucky and come out on top of the situation. At the very most, it’s the story of friendship between six students whose senses of justice prevent them from sitting on the sidelines and strengths combined never fail to let them prevail over the villains.

Sigh…Minami ke is…funny. It’s all hoo haa about nothing at all. Which is quite charming when you considers the amount of anime being produced in Japan nowadays. I won’t go into expounding the supposed virtues of Minami ke, suffice that I provide you the link with which to search for the info.

Anyway, this is recommended by my dear friend, Joelle. She’s a master when it comes to anime. Of course, the fact that she’s a virtual otaku does nothing to dispel this image. LOL.

Well…must run off and watch Yuukan Club now. Despite is seemingly illogical plot, it is a seriously funny show. I watched it for the laughs, girls watched it for Akinishi Jin…Damn the boy! LOL!!

If you can define “corny” using different japanese dramas, Yukan Club will be competing for the best synonym. To be number 1, every episode, every character, every single fight scene, and all of Bido Granmarie must leave you at a loss for words, followed by the realization:

Why am I still watching this?

Eyecandies? Easy for you to say, unfortunately, I have long passed the Jin-craze since Anego. And we can all agree, that the bleach-haired and narcissistic Taguchi randomly saying “D’accord” and “Merci” is not a pretty sight. So why the hell am I still watching this show? I DON’T KNOW! Man, don’t ask me such a difficult question!

Watching Yukan Club is a similar experience to watching a horror film. I shut my eyes really tight during the unexpected hugging scenes while shrieking, “corny, corny, corny” over and over again. And when the time comes for Seishiro to recite the show’s tagline, “Turning impossibilities into possibilities, is what Yukan Club is about,” I hug my pillow with feelings of defeat and agony.

You’re lying if you tell me you didn’t try doing that pose yet. That is one uncomfortable pose – and corny, of course. Galileo would have been a decent mystery drama if only they have left out the hand pose and the equation sequence. He’d written on a blackboard, on a rock, on the ground, on a car window, on a drum, what’s next? Are they even applicable for that matter? I’ve had one year of physics in college and four sheets of paper full of equations. This course is all about equations, so if you want to pass the course, developing an intimate relationship with your cheat sheet (a legal one) is the key to it all. When I saw Yukawa-sensei scribbling down these same equations, I was half delighted because “Oh, wow I know what those Greek letters stand for!” and half disappointed because they are merely a a copy of my cheat sheet, in other words, they are intended to bullsh!t the viewers. Now I understand why chemists get highly critical over CSI or how physicists make fun of Star Trek.

So which one is cornier? Yukan Club or Yukawa sensei’s hand pose? Do I even need to answer that?

np. Ded Chaplin – Mona Lisa

Ah, time to publish my views of some Jdramas this season.

Galileo has been the leading star when looking at the ratings and the publicity. It’s also got quite nice reviews. Well, something that’s got 福山雅治 [Fukuyama Masaharu] involved in as many ways as Galileo, I don’t think it could go wrong.
The plot isn’t that ‘wow’, actually. I, who have always had a soft spot for the American TV-serie ‘Numb3rs‘, could find Galileo lame. I don’t, though. It’s not maybe worth all the praises it gets, but it’s decent.
Galileo’s finger-thing + counting-scenes are retarded. David Krumholtz beats anyone in being the genius.
For me, any show that has 北村一輝 [Kitamura Kazuki] in them, gets a huge plus. He’s got quite an ok role in here too. Though, I’d love to see him have the lead in a very successful drama soon.
Worth mention is 真矢みき [Maya Miki], who’s trapped in the role of a weird lab-woman.
The guest stars are also very much worth saying a few words. 香取慎吾 [Katori Shingo, who locked the show's highest ratings to-date], 深田恭子 [Fukada Kyoko], 堀北真希 [Horikita Maki], 甲本雅裕 [Kotomo Masahiro]… The list goes on. And I expect them to get a really big shot for the final ep. Waiting for that.

歌姫 [Utahime] has been my highlight of the season, no doubt. The show’s ratings have been very low (most to blame are some big-shot movies that have constantly been airing at the same time with this drama), and I even had my doubts that this might have to undergo the same horrible destiny of Sushi Oji!. I’m glad it didn’t.
長瀬智也 [Nagase Tomoya] is the lead, of course. He gets back-up from 佐藤隆太 [Sato Ryuta] and 大倉忠義 [Ohkura Tadayoshi]. Don’t blink and miss 小池栄子 [Koike Eiko]’s appearance.
The drama started terribly slow, but after the first episode (which was kind of bad and boring) the things sped up and the ‘old golden days’ -universe sets in. The atmosphere of this drama is calming and it gives me constantly reasons to smile. The settings are beautiful and the cast does good job with making them alive. That and the ‘air’ of this drama are the things that make ‘Utahime’ truly stand out this season. The plot isn’t the strongest, but rather than script, this drama plays with the feeling it can create within the wievers.
I am happy that this has gotten quite a few praises among critics.

Yukan Club’s ratings have been sinking (…what have I been telling you ever since the 1st episode? I won’t go back and quote, just figure it out yourself) steadily. Not that it would deserve the 10 it got today either.
Well, it just proves my point that the fangirlism (which is the reason this… “thing” even exists) can’t hold the ratings up if the drama is totally plotless and mostly acted flat. Too bad, that the sad thing’s already done, since the most of the eps have had ratings around 12. Makes me feel really bad.
They’ve been trying to make the show maintain it’s undeserved viewers by some known (?) guest actors. First it was the adorable 忍成修吾 [Oshinari Shugo, who has been in f.e. 太陽の季節 and YTM, now stars in 死化粧師, more of it later in this post], then 小山慶一郎 [Koyama Keiichiro from NEWS], who btw ended up being just as awkward as the show itself; and now Mike He (I actually have seen 惡魔在身邊 [Er Mo Zai Shen Bian], that aired back in 2005 and rather liked it. A typical teen-drama? Definetely yes. But it’s not that bad).
..And a few people actually had the nerve to ask me, why on Earth are the show’s ratings going down.

死化粧師 [Shigehoshi] wins easily the title of ‘The weirdest drama this year‘. I mean, that if the plot itself would’t be creepy enough, I really fail to understand quite a lot in this drama. The pretty-boy 和田正人 [Wada Masato] has got his first lead role, but frankly does a pretty good job.
And, it’s got 忍成修吾 [Oshinari Shugo]. I am weak for this boy’s works. Hope he’ll get a lead soon.
I really thought about giving up on this drama, but I’m still hanging on.

働きマン [Hataraki Man] hasn’t gotten a lot of praise nor critique. Could the reason be that not really many watch it? The ratings have been approximately 12, so it’s doing fairly good. It is a comedy, and for me it’s really nice to see the relations between love and work, work and love.
I have only watched the first few episodes yet, but I think I’ll get going with this during the winter pause. Or sometime.

Mop Girl is not bad. But it’s so much like the American show Tru Callin’. I didn’t like that one and somehow I don’t think this is my piece of cake, after all.
It, though, has 谷原章介 [Tanihara Shosuke] in it, and that might be a trigger for many to watch. He does excellent work so maybe I’ll end up watching this later. Don’t know though.

Dream Again was so hyped up from the beginning and look where it stands now. Ratings overall under 10. It’s got the same problem with Utahime; some movies that got the ratings over 20, have been airing simultaneously with this. I’ve seen a few episodes and can’t say that this is bad. Actually it’s kind of promising and I’m definetely going to finish it someday.
It doesn’t have any really outstanding people in the cast for me, but it’s easy to say that this isn’t the worst drama this season. Not even close.

Security Police [SP] rides the recent police/detective -wave in Jdrama. With 岡田准一 [Okada Junichi] in the lead, I think the show is ok. It’s nothing special (agents having special abilities is pretty.. used idea already). My start with this drama wasn’t the best possible. Let’s just say that when a note appears on the computer screen, it shouldn’t look like this:

Overall, this is not bad. It’s just generic and the world is filled with better or same-status police-dramas already. Okada does a very nice job, anyway, and the fact that he can hold his messed-up character together and reveal his past and motives bit-by-bit deserves some respect.
And well~, it’s always nice to see men in suits.

Those are the normal dramas I’ve given a try this season. In the end it seems that I’m holding on only with a few of them, thosde being 歌姫, 死化粧師, Galileo and SP.

oh. my brother bought a book on how to draw manga. maybe i should try it too. ive always wanted to learn how to draw and then digitise the drawings. i love samurai champloo, their drawings are different from the other animes i watched. i dont know how to draw though. sho’s drawings are probably better than mine lol.

i am sometimes confused with multimedia. i usually run out of ideas or none at all, and ideas are really important on this subject, so there are times when i think to myself whether i should take multimedia as my main course or not. confused, i am lol.
