Iki Ikarus of Dutch Touch released her new male skins yesterday and being the Dutch Touch fanatic that I am for the female skins, you know I had to try the male ones. As soon as I put these on my favorite male shape from Manifest Shapes I just “KNEW” I needed to take lots of pictures and show off my sexy self. Srsly, I’m so hot, I just wanna do me!

Now that this semester is finally over, I’ll be posting a lot more XD… Anyways, these two skins sort of inspired the two looks in this post. The first is the Aurora II skin- I have no idea how it landed in my inventory, but I’m so happy it did because I am in love! The face is so beautiful and the blue-green and purple eyeshadow made me think of a fun and quirky outfit. Then there is Tuli’s latest group gift, Eva, which reminds me a lot of Bella, but a younger version. My favorite part of this skin is definitely the lips. They are so delicate and luscious!

I must admit when it comes to fashion blogs, I rarely read what’s written and really only get drawn into the post if the picture stands out to me. Therefore I always try my best to make my pics as clear and attractive to look at as possible because I know there are probably lots of people like me out there that only really notice the post if the pictures grab their attention.

That’s why I thought the new Second Life Freeze Frame blog was a great idea. Basically it’s a place for people to share the process they went through to complete their image. My pictures are far from perfect, but I thought it would be neat to share what I normally do with my pictures. I really enjoyed reading what others have been doing as well and learned a lot. Just in case you feel the urgent need to complain about any gifts, please go to IM and whine at your BFF, and only at  your BFF. Don´t type your complaint in public chat, don´t rant about a freebie in your blog posts. NEVER bother  generous designers with IMs or NCs because you are not satisfied with their freebies! Epic fail! No-go! And a  childish and plain stupid behaviour! If you don´t like a gift, simply trash it. And shut up! Got me? Yes, I mean *you*! Got me? Fine. Thanks.

And now let´s have a look at our beautiful freebies. We get 1st Anniversary gifts from LE.LOOK: shape, skin, lingerie for both, guys and girls!  They are already blogged everywhere. You have to be a member of LE.LOOK!  group to get the freebies, and you have to be patient. It takes years to tp over, and once there it takes a few more years until all is rezzed and you are able to click the gift boards. No, you are not yet done! Now you have to spend another few years until your gifts are delivered ) Everyday you get a new freebie as hair, clothes and  shoes. That means you have to be patient day by day. But trust me, it is worth your time!

I didn´t actually want to write about them but then I tried on the shape. You know, shapes are my enemies ) But this one could become my friend It`s more a model shape than a  “girl next door” shape, tall and slender with long legs and a typical model face, but not in an exaggerated way. It goes without saying that the Le.Look shape is well-done. The same applies to Belleza and LeLutka skins and lingerie/boxers by Zaara.  In the  pic above  I wear the original Le.Look shape and LeLutka Estelle skin along with Antoinette hair from Truth (dollarbie at Novocaine Sale).

The skin fits my own shape too. It looks not perfect on my shape but I like it though. Shown here is my favorite, the “extra skin”  with blonde brows and blonde hairbase. Simply irresistable, isn´t it?  Of course, also the version with darker brows and dark hairbase is beautiful. Oh well … words, words, words! You better go and pick up your gifts Shapes and skins from Day 1 (December 15th) are still available.

Oh my oh my! My first skin review.  Took me a while, and I’m sure it could use some work, but… Here ya go!

GeEs Design – Tara Australia Full Body

When Gandalf Edman  of GeEs Design dropped these skins on me, I got a tad nervous.  Skin reviews… whew, you see them all over, and they can really be rough, and they can really be sugar-coated.  I try to aim for middle ground.  I’ll give you an honest opinion on the skins, and you can go from there.  Remember, on your shape, they will look completely different, so run by and try a demo first, see what you think.

The skins, Tara Australia, come with 9 makeup choices, ranging from au natural to dark and dreamy.  Each makeup choice, comes with a gloss and non gloss lip version AS WELL AS a pubic hair, and no pubic hair version.  There is also an optional undershirt layer – cleavage enhancer, for that va va voom look.  Take a look here:

As you can see, there is plenty of variety in the makeup options.  The gloss option adds just the slightest hint of shine to the lips, I could have taken a bit more of a difference, but this is still absolutely acceptable.  After all, they didn’t have to include that option at all did they?  As for seems, I saw the tiniest hint (and I mean TINY) of one at the abdomen, but found no others visible.  The eyebrows bother me most of all on the skin, while the brow base they gave made them incredibly too thin for my taste, I wound up wearing an old obscene brow base to make them more to my liking.  This is just personal preference though, and thin brows look great on many avs… just not so much mine.  Also, if you are a private part enthusiast, the vagina on these skins is surprisingly lacking detail.  While I’m not one to flaunt my naked bits, this doesn’t have much effect on me, but to some of you it may.  The nipples however, are very nice, not over contrasted, and pretty realistic looking.  I also love that the skin has definition but is not OVERLY shaded.

What I love about these skins, is their almost middle eastern/indian look.  I know that isn’t what the designer was going for, obviously, since they are titled Australia, and each makeup is named for a different city there in… but still, I see definite easternesqueness.  I see this skin looking wonderful on a petite shape and I TRIED to mod mine to resemble this.  When I paired the skins with some jewelry and clothing from Zaara, it really made a fabulous look, here’s a thumbnail of a photo I did with that:

All in all, I can honestly say I would wear these skins.  Those of you who know me, know I am INCREDIBLY skin picky, so that says a lot.  I found very few flaws, and the ones I did are easily worked around.  At just 800L a skin or 2499L for ALL of them, it isn’t a huge investment for a little variety in your collection.
