Remember when Robert Zimmerman, brother of alleged Trayvon Martin murderer George Zimmerman, used to go on talk shows and speak softly while defending his brother against allegations? Remember how he claimed he had empathy for the Martin family and for their loss? Well that  seems to have all gone away.

Robert Zimmerman has taken to his Twitter account to Tweet some very nasty allegations about Trayvon, and the Martin Family supporters. He is spewing venom about everything from who’s playing the “race card” in this situation to calling black people “risky”.

One thing that was particularly interesting was, how Robert Zimmerman continuously asks what the term “No Limit Nig**” means. It’s as if they think they’ve caught some gang related info on Travyon’s FB or something. Someone should send him over some Percy music stat so that they can clear that on up!

The only thing that we all know for sure is that Trayvon Martin is dead.There is no way for Trayvon to be Tweeting “talking points” about his side of what happened that night. And to be comparing him to another 17 year old in GA who allegedly pointed a gun at a 13 month old baby and pulled the trigger after shooting the child’s mother in a botched robbery is reckless at best. If he didn’t know Trayvon while he was alive, how does he then claim to know what was in his heart or his mind?

The trial of George Zimmerman begins in June, and if this is any indication of what’s going to be happening , then we are all in for a very long Summer.

Since he shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin last year, George Zimmerman has been trying to convince the public that he was not acting simply out of racist aggression but because Martin attacked him. Zimmerman’s brother, Robert Zimmerman Jr, is not helping his cause. On Saturday, Zimmerman went on a Twitter tirade against “black teens,” equating the boy killed by his brother with De’Marquise Elkins, the 17-year-old suspect in the murder of a Georgia infant.

Zimmerman tweeted the photo at Michael Moore, the NAACP, the NRA, and a Breitbart.com editor. He followed it up with another comparison between the two, tweeting “Teen to West: “Do you want me to shoot your baby?” #TrayvonMartin to #GeorgeZimmerman: You’re gonna die tonight Motherf**ker.”

In case the reason for his comparison of the two young black men was unclear, Zimmerman later tweeted:

Trayvon Martin was unarmed when Zimmerman allegedly followed him and shot him. He had no criminal record. Zimmerman had a history of calling the police to report suspicious black individuals, one as young as 7-9 years old. By his brother’s logic, this frequent suspicion of black people was not due to prejudice but because black people pose a genuine and constant threat to everyone around them.

Zimmerman’s trial is scheduled for June 10.

I haven’t gotten around to dumping all the previous season’s pitcher data into my WAR sheet, but I’ve been able to grab all the batter data, and a 10 WAR has only been done three times; Twice in season two, when the engine was a little “tardish’ and once in season 19, when Alex Zhou put up a 10.03 WAR.

Sidenote: Speaking of Zhou, he has the highest career WAR total of any batter in Vin Scully, active or retired, at 103. Who’s second on the list, you ask? Well that would be Luke McFeely at 85.2. I think it’s safe to say both should be in the hall of fame soon.

Back to assessing season 22 pitchers. The American League things are a little closer, with Lawrence Busby, and Olmedo Oliva tied at 3.6. However, there are four pitchers within half a run of those two in the AL: Ossie Borchard, Albert Granados, Mike Lawrie, and Pasqual Elcano. Of those four, I expect Granados to fall back a little, as his .250 BABIP suggests he’s over-performing a little.

I would do worst pitchers so far, but we all know that they consist of a bunch of Los Angeles players. So there really is no need.

So far Jr does a shoddy job of walking right up to the line and cowering like the punk that he is hiding behind the racist Retweets of his followers, but today on Palm Sunday, after he “blessed” all the Christians (I can’t imagine that Trayvon’s family is included) he decides to show his hand. We here have long known that the Zimmermans and Thugboat are anti-black racists, their “white-acting” “black” friends and their great-grand-daddy aside. But you tell me what person who is so-called proud of their “Afro-Peruvian” heritage would make such a racist statement?

And this brings me to the little discussed phenomena of ignoring the racial aspects of cases of mass murder.

You know this guy? Adam Lanza – no one is saying or implying that we should be scared of all young white men because of his behavior.

What about this guy? James Holmes. Ever hear anyone seriously pondering that we should use a broad brush against an entire group of young white men because of his murderous rampage? No? Neither have I. I could go on but I won’t, nor am I implying that young white males should be racially profiled but by the same token neither should young black males!

Yet, the assclown who protests day and night on twitter or any time he can get on teevee that he and his family are not racist, decides on Palm Sunday to ponder…hmmmm…maybe Thugboat was right to RACIALLY profile Trayvon because of the ALLEGED actions of two black teenagers, a YEAR after Trayvon’s murder in Georgia? Now this is the same HYPOCRITE who screams presumed innocent vis-a-vis HIS brother, yet he is suggesting that we should NOT only assume these boys are guilty and thus murderers BUT also assume that any other boys who share their demographics (black and male) are also “risky”, i.e. “suspicious.”

And thus, as per Jr. this discussion isn’t about the RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS – it is about the RIGHT TO USE ARMS whenever you subjectively feel a young black male is “risky” or “suspicious” like Thugboat did when he murdered Trayvon and like he did here when once again FACED with young black males in his ‘hood:

U.S. Marine Corps First Lieutenant James R. Zimmerman, 25, of Aroostook, ME, assigned to 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, based in Camp Lejeune, NC, died on November 2, 2010, while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.

Better known as Deadmau5 and Plastikman, respectively, Zimmerman and Hawtin agreed many of today’s EDM musicians have developed an instinct to copy rather than create.  The irony, they said, is that there’s a vast array of software available to create new sounds, but artists are following a narrow path while using them.

Zimmerman, who is 32, and Hawtin, 42, spoke before a capacity crowd at the Austin Convention Center.  They reminisced about the early days of making electronic music on equipment picked up at pawnshops.

“We were two kids who found a love of technology,” Hawtin said.   “We’re two geeks.”

The availability of new technologies, and the pace at which they arrive, can be overwhelming, they agreed.

“What do you lose when everything is easy and accessible?” Hawtin asked.  “There’s very little time to practice.”

“I have to take crash courses on all these things that come out,” Zimmerman added.

Now on hiatus, Zimmerman said his time away from electronic music opened his mind to the possibility of new modes of music making.  Referencing his fiancé Kat Von D, he said, “One good thing that came out of me disappearing for awhile and living with Kat, she’s a very organic musician.  No technology of any kind.  It was nice to get my head out of the over-complication of the studio.”

“I’ve always aspired to be a lot more underground and less big room sound.   I listen to techno, to the dubby old stuff, your stuff,” he said, nodding toward Hawtin.   “It’s nice to know I can break out of a mousehead.”

Hawtin pointed to the dilemma Zimmerman faces as a global EDM brand.  “You’re the number-one gatekeeper in electronic music.   It’s your responsibility to open the door as wide as possible.”

Zimmerman allowed that his image can be a burden.  Five year olds like Deadmau5, he said, perhaps more so because of the brand than the music.   Without the mousehead, he conceded, young listeners might not be interested.

Because today’s EDM artists want commercial success, they conform to the market’s tastes.  If they don’t, the audience will move on to someone who will.

“My first record came out in 1990,” Hawtin said.  “I had to slow burn.  I don’t know if it’s as easy for the new artists to stay in control.”

“The songs sound the same,” said Zimmerman, calling it “cookie-cutter stuff.”

He said,  “I’m surprised the record companies that sign these people aren’t just going home and making the music themselves.  Cut out the middleman.”

“There’s a manual now,” Hawtin said.   “The attraction was doing something different.  I had to do my own thing.  The double-edged sword is taking a little bit of the life out of it.   Maybe that’s why EDM is so big now.  It’s homogenized.”

Dr. Zimmerman married Laura Virginia Law (1836-1915), and the couple had two children, Mary Elizabeth and Edward Zimmerman (d. young). I was not able to discover what Dr. Zimmerman died of. There are three Daniel Zimmermans from South Carolina listed in the records of Confederate service, but all of them survived after 1861.

Daniel and his wife and children are buried in the Law Cemetery, in Darlington County, SC.

George Zimmerman won’t seek criminal immunity next month under Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law in the shooting death of unarmed black teen Trayvon Martin and instead will likely let a jury decide his fate. 

In court on Tuesday, defense attorney Mark O’Mara waived his right to use court time set aside for an immunity hearing, NBC station WESH reported. In that hearing a judge could have quickly cleared Zimmerman of any criminal liability under Florida law that allows lethal force for personal protection. Zimmerman, a former neighborhood watch volunteer of white and Hispanic descent, has maintained he shot Martin on Feb. 26, 2012 in self-defense after Martin attacked him. He has pleaded not guilty to the second-degree murder charge.

O’Mara said outside Seminole County Courthouse on Tuesday that Zimmerman believes it would be a better outcome to be found not guilty of murdering Martin, rather than being granted immunity, WESH reported. “George wants a jury of his peers to decide the case,” O’Mara said. “It’s going to be, I think, a more accepted result for everyone who has to result that he gets an acquittal at trial even more so than immunity hearing by a judge.”

Zimmerman has not been seen in public since he was released on bail last July. “George is doing as well as can be expected,” Sean Vincent, spokesman for Zimmerman’s defense team, told NBC News. “He is in hiding and has gained 105 pounds,” putting him in the “ballpark” of 300 pounds. “Everyone deals with stress differently,” Vincent said

Although Spring Breakers hasn’t seen it’s March 22nd release date yet, the movie is in hot water with their shooting location.

The Tampa Bay Area (which includes Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater) has seen a local increase in popularity and monetary funding from movies such as Dolphin Tale and Magic Mike using the area in their movies, Spring Breakers is going to be the most raciest take on Tampa.

Spring Breakers, a movie about four college breakers that illegally accumulate funds to experience a Florida spring break vacation, has a R rating from the Motion Picture Association of America for “strong sexual content, language, nudity, drug usage, and violence throughout.”

Minus the violence, Spring Breakers has overlapping themes with Magic Mike: young people trying to make money in ways that are racy and illegal.

Although the Tampa Bay area benefited from the movie’s budget, some do not appreciate the association that will be created between the location and a fictional account of college students partying and repetitively breaking the law as loosely based off of local rapper Dangerous (portrayed as “Alien” by James Franco).

It’s hard to deny that Florida has been known for drugs, partying, and violence in some respect.  Whether that be the cocaine 80s, MTV’s portrayal of (crazy) televised Spring Break parties payed for by the outlet in the 90s, and recent court cases that feature Casey Anthony and George Zimmerman both occurring in Orlando, Florida has had a rep that goes way past the movies and hasn’t slowed down any movement into Florida.

If anything, vacations slowed down because of the overall economic downturn.  It’s not because Florida is looking for someone to blame outside of voting for a governor that has a previous link to controversial pain and anti-aging clinics.

So it’s fine to There is one indisputable fact about Spring Breakers regardless of whatever is the fallout from the release, very little was done to beautify the already naturalistic beauty of the Clearwater and St. Petersburg beaches.

The girlfriend of Trayvon Martin has been caught lying under oath, and is causing complications in the murder case of George Zimmerman.

MyFoxOrlando.com reports defense attorney Mark O’Mara was pursuing medical records for Martin’s girlfriend, known as Witness 8 in court proceedings, because she claimed in a sworn statement that she was unable to attend Martin’s funeral because she was in the hospital. It was revealed that those medical records did not exist.

“She, in fact, did not go to the hospital as she stated under oath,” said defense attorney Don West.  “And that [prosecutor] Mr. [John] Guy represented there would not be hospital records confirming her sworn statement, because, in fact, she lied.”

The girlfriend is a key witness in the trial because she was allegedly on the phone with Martin before he was killed by Zimmerman.

Zimmerman, a former neighborhood watch leader, claims that he shot Martin, 17, in self-defense after they got into a fight in February 2012 and was trying to maintain that he was following the “stand-your-ground law”, which states that a person may justifiably use force in self-defense when there is reasonable belief of an unlawful threat, without an obligation to retreat first
