OK so this past weekend, I attended an event at the USC film school. I attend panels, network away, yet constantly get distracted by this guy… I can’t place it, but he looks SO familiar. Something about the eyes?

I see him again and again, and we keep making eye-contact (or so I think it’s eye contact) so before I leave, I just go up to him and say “Heyy…do I know you?” to which he responds, “I was thinking the same thing!” First I ask if he went to SC. Negative. I ask if he was sure. Again, he was sure we didn’t go to school together. He ask me where I worked. I say TV Guide Network. He says that may be why… and asks if I do red carpet interviews. CLICK! We conclude that I must have interviewed him at some carpet. We begin trying to figure out exactly which carpet… and well, call me crazy, but I have a photographic sort of memory, and throw out the Acts of Love Autism event, back in November 2008. ..and was right! That’s when “Hi, I’m Austin”/”Hi I’m Samia” happens.

So after Austin Butler and I discover that we’re long lost friends (sort of?) he introduces me to Sean Covel, who just so happened to a be a speaker on one of panels I attended.  Why is Sean Covel a big deal? He graduated from USC’s film school and well, produced a film that at least 50% of you readers have quoted at some point – “Napoleon Dynamite.”

Uh...freakin idiot!

Anyway, as I talk them, I discover “fun facts” like how Sean, though he’s seen the film a million times, has blocked the lines from his memory, and actually gets the lines from the film wrong when he DOES try to quote them.

Austin was on the Nickelodeon show Zoey 101 (co-starring Britney’s sis, Jamie Lynn Spears,) and in a film called Aliens in the Attic (which he was promoting when we first met last year. has been busy in Canada, shooting a new CW series called “Life UneXpected.” had a week off in LA, and decided to pay a visit to his buddy Sean. They actually know eachother because Sean is engaged to actress Alexa Vega, who’s worked with Austin.

Anyway, as we’re parting, the highlight of the convo happens. Do we say “Nice meeting you?” Not quite. Since we’ve met before, the cliche-carpet-line, “Nice to see you!” seems appropriate. Problem? It’s cliche, it’s stock, it’s…well, long story short, it’s a commonly heard line on the carpet, that both stars and publicists use so they don’t offend someone they have/haven’t met. Me, Sean, and Austin joke/banter about this, and conclude that the next time we cross paths, we’ll use a “Hey You!!” or something to that effect.

Anyway, my friend is getting antsy, so I wrap up convo with the guys and… what do I say? “Nice seeing you again.” :-/

Welcome to the 2009 Daytime Emmy’s.  NPH are you watching?  Vanessa Williams is off to a great start and any show that begins with Oscar the Grouch is tops in my book.

Opening number a bit corny but short so not bad. 

I guess I should watch Dancing with the Stars because i have no idea who that guy is.  But thanks to friends who cook I am quite familiar with Rachel Ray.  Ok I’ll be honest its more from the Dunkin Donuts commericials.  They are presenting for Best Supporting Actor – Go Spinelli!

ITS A TIE!!!!  Vincent Irizarry  (he is still talking, come on I want to know if Spinelli won)  and

Jeff Branson (pbbt)  He’s cute so I guess it is ok.  But truth be told Bradford Anderson is one to watch.  Those who know Veronica Mars will recognize him from the Ahoy Mates and Versatile Toppings episodes.

Ron Moss and Heather Tom presenting Game Show – Love the Cash Cab.  I want to go t NYC just for that show alone.  Although I am sure they would kick me out.  And Yes Cash CAb won!  The Discovery Channel Rules! 

Spinelli’s on! Kirsten Storms and Bindi presenting for Talk Shows – What Rache Ray?!?! Are you kidding me?  How in the heck did Ellen not win?  Ok I’m not mad.  Settle down girl.

Doesnt Kim Zimmer look beautiful.  A little on the red side, but that might just be my TV.  And the Younger Actress Award goes to….JULIE BERMAN as Lulu Spencer,  General Hospital’s first award of the evening.  She is doing a great Julia Roberts impression.  For those of you who dont know Julie is playing the younger daughter of super soap couple Luke and Laura.  If you dont know who they are I suggest climbing out from that rock you have been living under.

Presenting for Outstanding Performer in a Children’s Show is the stars from Corey in the House and Zoey 101 Kyle and Chris Massey.  I do believe that so far they are the funniest presenters and it doesnt seemed forced as it did with previous presenters. 

Kevin Clash wins for Elmo.  Hard to believe someone that tall can voice a character that small.

(thank goodness for DVR’s and the pause button.  I was getting so far behind and a little girl needs to be put to bed)

For some reason someone decided Dr. Phil would be a humerous presenter.  He’s not.  But the 1st nomination for Outstanding Drama is All My Children.  Unfortunately I haven’t seen this show since Haylee and Mateo were on so I dont have much to say about it other than any show that has the great Susan Lucci can’t be all bad. 

Next up is Tyra Banks who seems to be introducing a daytime fashion show (gives a shout out to Luke and Laura, I told you to climb out from that rock) The only thing I can say is they are much better at acting than modelling and of course Susan is Fab as always.

Oh those children make me so sad and grateful that my children have what they have.  I have to admit that it is a wonderful thing for people who have alot to give of themselves to people who dont.

Back to the awards and Best Supporting Actress goes to Tamara Braun from Days of our lives.  I will admit that I dont know much about her character because I only tend to catch that show on SoapNet if the Scrubs rerun is one that I have seen a million times already, but I do remember her from General Hospital as Carly Corinthos and she was lovely on that show so go Tamara!

(is it just me or do they really keep this show moving?)

Best Directing Team goes to One Life to Live and I have to admit that this is one of those awards that I could care less about but any excuse to see Jame Scott (EJ from DOOL) is a good idea to me.

Buzz Aldrin is so awesome!

Best Informative Talk Show goes to the Tyra Banks Show.  Huh?  Oh well.  Man that women can talk fast!

Did I forget to mention that I love Oscar the Grouch?  Well I do.

Kristen Alderson looks so adorable! 

Outstanding Yonger Actor goes to (what a diverse group they have this year) Darin Brooks – Days of our lives.  Yep he swore and got musiced off the stage.  Great thank you speech.

Outstanding Morning Show goes to Good Morning America.  What do you mean they couldnt show up?  What the Daytime Emmy’s arent good enough for you? 

The next nominee for Outstanding Drama is Days of our lives.  Yeah I wouldn’t mind any show with Ali Sweeney (The Biggest Loser) or John Aniston (you might have heard of his daughter) winning.

OSCAR!!!!

I might have been more of a Muppets fan but even I can say that Sesame Street was a great show to grow up on.  Its such an iconic show for children.  I can’t believe it has been on for 40 years!! Wow that is all I can say is wow.  By the way that as to be on thebest musical numbers ever done on an awards show.  Ok I am kind of partial to anything that involves Oscar the Grouch but still. 

After all this time Vanessa Williams still has a silky, smooth voice.

The Best Talk Show Host goes to the women of The View (who can not even be bothered to show up) Don’t worry Ellen we still love you!

And of course the Best Writing Emmy goes to General Hospital.  Was there ever any doubt?  But wait a minute how can a show that wins for Best Writing not be nominated for Best Drama? And speaking of not being nominated for Best Drama One Life to Live wins for Best Directing.

Another winner who didn’t show up is Meredith Vierra who won for Best Game Show host.  Whatever happened to the winners taping their acceptance speeches?

OMG its Betty freaking White!  The Golden Girls Ruled!

A bit of trivia for you: Guiding Light is the longest running drama in television and radio history.  That in itself is really cool and I don’t even watch that show.  Wasn’t that a great clip show?  It almost makes me wish I had watched the show.  Speaking of I believe I may DVR the last 5 episodes.

The Best Actress in a Daytime Series goes to the ever lovely Susan Haskell of her portrayal of Marty Saybrooke on One Life to Live.  I can’t believe she this is the first time she has won.

Best Actor in a Daytime Series goes to the ever so elegant Christian LeBlanc from the Young and the Restless.  So much for Anthony Geary setting the record for most wins.

The 3rd nominee for Best Drama and the winner is…The Bold and the Beautiful!  Congratulations to all the winners!

Closing notes: How rude was the CW for cutting off the cast and producers of TB&B?  Atleast let them say thank you.  They deserve that much respect.  Yes, Daytime television doesn’t get the respect that it deserves and is most often treated as the forgotten format.  But lets not forget the myriad of actors and actresses careers that it has launched.

Tonight I delved into some of my old writing and came across some real scary blogs I did about 2 or 3 years ago… I truly was an emotional train wreck back then. I’d like to think i’ve become someone more pleasant since then.

There is possibly no other inanimate object I hate more than the telephone. (Lindsay Lohan’s firecrotch doesn’t count)

I seriously hate everything about it. The device, the sound it makes, even the way it stares at you.

I may have mentioned in the past how I haven’t even had a ringtone on my cell phone (or mobile phone for you international readers) for over four years (UPDATE: 6 years!). It’s been on silent. This means I probably quite simply miss your call, or plain ignore it.

Don’t take it personally. I just try and avoid the phone at any cost.

And of course to go along with that, comes the new conundrum of sms and chat. I love that…I really do, but I need to use the actual phone to do that…damn that mother truckin’ Alexander Graham Bell. This is his fault you know.

Anways, I’ve always know why I detest the device so much.

It’s two fold really.

Back when I was younger, the ringing of a phone brought only bad news….death. That kinda thing traumatizes one you know. Answering that phone and being told that someone had just died is probably one of the worst things you can hear (the other being “you should of said I need five to make a million sorry we can’t make you a winner”)….

The irony of my kryptonite was that my job for the next 8 years after high school would be working in a call centre. It breaks a person apart. They say only certain people can work on a helpdesk…I always thought so too…but looking back now, I know those 8 years will forever have me in its power….freak you Bell.

I feel for ppl on helpdesks…its not easy….so take it easy on em folks…they are human beings….xcept for those @sses over at FNB Loans.

I don’t answer my phone if I can help it, and recently I went a good few weeks without it and realized I didn’t miss it one bit. In fact I think my voice mail is full…

I wonder if that is the reason I don’t date haha….maybe….if you’re a girl…and you’ve received a phone call from me….like ever, well then i really like you….seriously. If you’re a guy…well then my car has probably broken down and sms will take too long.

It’s one of the hardest things for me to do…I become like an ADD victim when I even attempt to dial.

I dial, cancel, dial, cancel, and so on…

It’s so painful you have no idea.

I’m trying to slowly build up my phoning ability….but its gonna take some time, so bare with me ok?

That my friends is my phobia, so don’t judge me….there are other things you can make fun of instead….like my love for Hannah Montana, Lizzie McGuire and Zoey 101. (UPDATE: And Wizards of Waverly Place)

Selena Gomez allegedly split from Taylor Lautner after learning he was cheating on her with Zoey 101 actress Victoria Justice. Sources say Lautner had been “two timing” the Wizards of Waverly Place star for several weeks.

“They’re old pals, and when all three were filming in Vancouver this past spring, they became more,” says a source. “He was still seeing Selena, and she had no idea.”

The Twilight star and Gomez, both 17, dated for several months before calling it quits in May. It is unclear if Lautner is still dating Justice.

Meanwhile, the Twilight sequel New Moon, also starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, is due in theaters this November.

(Press Release)–Some of Daytime TV’s biggest names- Montel Williams, Anthony Geary (“General Hospital”), Kelly Monaco (“General Hospital)” and Susan Lucci (“All My Children”), Christopher Massey (Nickelodeon’s  “Zoey 101”), Kyle Massey (Disney’s “Cory in the House”), Erik Estrada and Devon Werkheiser ((Nickelodeon’s “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide”) – will travel to Kenya with Feed The Children, an international, non-profit  relief organization that feeds more than 100,000 children in Kenya’s slums every day.  The three stars will venture out into some of the world’s most impoverished cities to meet one on one with the people who live there – all in an effort to raise awareness of the desperate situation faced by Africa’s poor.  Part of this story will air as a segment entitled “Daytime Gives Back” during the Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards, airing Sunday, August 30th at 8:00p.m. ET/PT on the CW Television Network.  “All My Children” will also incorporate the trip in to their show, in a yet to be determined storyline involving Lucci’s character Erica Kane.

According to E!News Pop star and actress of Nickelodeons Zoey101’s baby daddy “Casey Aldridge” was in an accident on Sunday April 26^th.

The 19 year old flipped his F-250 while drifting off the road. Louisiana State Trooper “Mark Dennis” stated that he was given a “Careless operation traffic citation”.

Jamie Lynn Spears:

The trooper went on to say that there were 5 people in the truck and 3 were ejected from the vehicle. One of the passengers ejected was driver Casey Aldridge who was reported as going to the hospital. Rumors are that he may have cracked his skull but no details have been released. As for some of the other passengers not all of them went to the hospital some even refused treatment other reported minor injuries.

Not clear as to when Casey is expected to appear in court but we will keep you updated on the developments. Meanwhile there have been additional reports that Jamie is by his side the couple are engaged and haven’t picked an exact date for their wedding but there will be hope in the future.

Ok ya terminaron de decir: la concha de su madre!!! está de goebos!!! no mames!!, boludos!!!!… etc y demás expresiones que se les ocurran…?

Pues dejenme decirles que esta nueva épica con tema base de la segunda guerra mundial (es uno de los temas que más me gusta), nos será mostrada por el director más chingón con menos películas en su haber: Quentin Tarantino.

Imagines que veremos!!! secuencias, encuadres, historia… vaya hasta la fotografía de la película será a la “Tarantinesca”… ya quiero que salga y verla en el cine a todo lo que da… oooo ssssiiiii acabo de tener una chaqueta mental…

Pero bueno después de todo el pedo… dejenme contarles de que va esta producción.

Pues en Inglourious Bastards podremos se parte de dos historias… por un lado un grupo de soldados americanos encargados de sembrar el terror entre la gente del Tercer Reich, lo cual implica el matar NAZIS a diestra y sieniestra y del modo más sanguineario posible… ¿por qué?   porque simple y sencillamente esa es su misión!
Imaginen la situación: después de haber sido prisioneros…. ahora matarás nazis… con el consentimiento de los “buenos”… aqui ya entra la cuestión de pespectiva, de que en la WWII quien estuvo bien o mal… eso ya es cuestión de cada quien…

Ok.. la otra historia es sobre una francesa-judia que se atraviesa con ellos en cierta parte de Francia… en un cine me parece o tengo entendido…

Entre el cast de esta película, hasta este momento me parece que estarán: Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger, Eli Roth, Samuel L. Jackson, Mike Myers… por decir de algunos… así que…

A esperar que se estrene.. porque realmente se me antoja ver la Segunda Guerra Mundial desde la perspectiva de Tarantino…

cuando salga… ¿quién me invita?

LA-based band Saucy Monkey are still, surprisingly, relatively unknown considering they’ve been making music together for the best part of seven years. Their cover of the Divinyls I Touch Myself received a moderate amount of radio attention in Ireland thanks to typical loyal patriotism to Irish front-woman Annemarie Cullen (the rest of the band is 2 parts American to 1 part Israeli). Some of their singles have also been featured on Nickelodeon shows like iCarly and Zoey 101. If, like me, you’re the parent of a Nickelodeon-obsessed child you may well recognise some of them and be thankful that you’ve moved on from the days of Lambchops Playalong and ‘The Song That Doesn’t End‘! Pleasers for pre-teen audiences aside, they do fantastic cover of The Carpenter’s Superstar. The hauntingly poignant song has been re-worked with palpable electric guitar and base-heavy percussion sounds giving it a more grimy feel than the previous cover of the same song by Sonic Youth, who deviated from their usual grungy style to produce a beautifully melancholic version of it for the If I Were A Carpenter tribute album. Esto ya habia pasado con Vanessa, así que era de esperarse que con Adrianita sucediera lo mismo, que después del escandalo otro chisme las quemara aun más.

Pero no hay de que preocuparse que Adrienne no es infiel. Lo que pasa es que esto es más bajo que pegar el chicle con otro que no es tu novi@, ¿O no?, bueno, al grano.

Ahora se dice que Bailon fue ¡la que publicó sus fotos enseñando eso que no puedo decir [la v*gina y el fundillo]!, si como hay de cizañosos en este mundo. Pero no tanto, por que considerando a las nuevas chicas ratonas esto sería muy lógico, al parecer lo hizo para nada nuevo es decir conseguir publicidad y ofertas para posar en revistas para caballeros, aunque allá ella a ver que dice.

Y un cosejo (va dirigido a las Chicas Disney, Nickelodeon o alguna que otra famosa golosa/calenturienta/antojada: Taylor lee bien): Si tienes novio y lo quieres consentir, sólo comprate una PoGo (o cualquier cosa que te imprima inmediatamente), sacas la foto, imprimes y borras cualquier existencia de grafico en la memoria de tu cámara. Así los medios no se enteran.

[PD: Taylor Swfitt no me cae mal pero tampoco es mi persona preferida en él planeta, es bueno usar el sarcasmo de vez en cuando y reirnos de la vida, así que no voy a recibir comentarios con insultos]

Hola, les queremos presentar una nueva sección de nuestro blog en la que les presentaremos un vídeo nuevo  de Zoey 101 cada semana, desde el primero hasta el último.Hoy les presentamos el primer capítulo, “benvenidas a pca”.

Este capítulo trata de que Zoey, una chica adolescente, llega a la academia Pacific Coast Academy, en la que acaban de acmitir chicas, y hace nuevos amigos.Aunque no todo va bien:Logan, un chico, reta a Zoey y a sus amigas a un partido de baloncesto para ver quién es mejor.¿Quién ganará?
