 Interview with Zulfi Syed, after he was evicted from Big Boss last season.

Is Zulfi Syed the real Big Boss? He has alleged that as per the number of votes received he stood first, Raja Chaudhury second while winner Ashutosh Kaushik got the least number of votes, and Rahul Mahajan saw that Ashutosh won as per his promise to him.

“This portion was not aired on TV. Before leaving the house, Rahul had said to Ashutosh before all of us that he would spend money and ensure that Ashutosh wins the show. He also said that he would take care of the telecom companies and the votes,” said Zulfi.

With this Zulfi said that he was sure that Ashutosh would win. “When I came out of the house Shilpa Shetty asked me who I thought had won and I said Ashu. After receiving the award too Ashu said that the award belonged to Rahul Bhaiyaa. It was an open admission,” he said.

Zulfi also said that he had learnt that he had got the maximum votes through the people in the industry and the media persons whom he met. “They all said that for them I was the winner and they told me about the votes. I am happy that Ashu got the money since he comes from a humble background and from a small town. I maintain my dignity and am not after the money. The way it happened is unfair to both Raja and me since we too have spent three months in the house,” he said.

On Rahul Mahajan volunteering to leave the House and not apologizing after the inmates jumped out of the house, Zulfi said that he wanted to make it look as if he had done a sacrifice for the other inmates. “He wanted to show that he has done a charity to us by opting to leave the show. He had come to cleanse his image. He opting to leave the House helped him achieve that. Even in the house he kept playing with the word, ‘charity.’ He also got the award, “Bada Dilwala,” he said.

Zulfi refused to comment on the Rahul-Payal-Monica love triangle saying that it was their personal affair. He refuted rumours that he had an affair with Sambhavna Seth.

He called Diana Hayden commanding. “She was very commanding and did things like hiding food. This was unexpected of a person of her stature, someone who has been the Miss World. I never nominated her for eviction though,” he said.

He was fond of Debojit and Ehsaan Qureshi in the house. “Debojit is a straight guy and I liked him the most. Besides, I was friendly with Ehsaanji. With the rest I knew how much distance to keep so as to maintain my dignity. There is no point in getting into arguments and fights and drooping yourself. Silence was my weapon,” he said.

Zulfi however calls the time spent in the house a life time experience. “There were 14 different kinds of people put together. I saw what all people could do just for money,” he said.

As of now, he has got back to work and he was going through some movie scripts. “I am going to Goa, since my film Taj Mahal is being screened at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). I will come home to Bangalore next month.”

Big Boss has “never say die” attitude. I was about to quit this show because it was becoming unbearable for last two weeks. Big boss infused lots of interesting events on the set. First it was open nomination and then reentry of Payal Rohatgi and Shambhavna Seth. Old trusted relationships were being broken for the sake of new one. All in all, it was really interesting week and going to be.

First thing comes first. Diana and Ashutosh was spending their time with each other only and ignoring others in the house. Other fours did not like it. Big Boss requested open nomination this time.

Day had come when saw Payal leaving the big boss house. It was evident that Payal Rohatgi could not corner those many votes from her fans to win the race against Raja Choudhary and Rahul Mahajan. It is sure that Payal and Rahul had game plan before entering the house. On many occasions, Rahul was seen requesting Payal not to speak when Raja provokes. Rahul insists that Payal is mere old friend and same tune was sing by Payal on same question. Lets see what will happen between them when both will come out of house.

The Bigg Boss inmate count is shrinking – now down to six – and anxiety level of the survivors is increasing ad infinitum. It’s surprising why the female count dies earlier than the male count; however, some ladies have themselves to blame for their ouster, with Sambhavna being leader of the pack.

Anyway, rather than dwelling on those who are out, let’s concentrate on those who are in and try to predict the winner.  All of us might have personal choices with their respective reasons but for once put your choices in the backpack and predict the winner on rational thinking considering present situation in the house. I have tried to do an autopsy of four characters and what can take them through to win the fat cheque. Check this out!

ZULFI SYED: Seems to have come in with Rahul Roy – the first Bigg Boss winner – as his idol. Striking similarities between how he is vying for the crown to what Rahul Roy did. Very seldom gets nominated. Way to go man!

RAHUL MAHAJAN: A real TRP man. He or Raja goes off and the Colors channel might become black and white. Became kind of a Casanova of late. Might lose on female votes for that but still going strong. Will be hard to beat!

RAJA CHAUDHARY: Another TRP generator, though for different reasons than Rahul Mahajan. A real prankster, hides his reasons very well. Known for his panic attacks and can go haywire with his language but still loved by the public, may be for his deceptive looks. Won’t give it up easily!

DIANA HAYDEN: Gorgeous looks with a sense of what to wear. Late entry might be her weakest point but has won hearts in the house, especially Ashutosh. Hard thought to digest though. Can lead the women brigade.

The second season of Bigg Boss - Indian version of Big Brother – catches speed after crossing the halfway mark. The producers may be raking in millions, but are they going a notch too far to sit on top of the TRP ratings considering it’s India and not UK? Isn’t the so called Bigg Boss sacrificing on many of the rules that were declared at the beginning of the show? Foul language and/or derogatory remarks are prohibited! Really? I don’t’ think so. Such remarks are being used rather frequently. In fact, sometimes it seems that we are watching a rehabilitation program for certain individuals who have been isolated from the society for their behavior.

Of course, there are/were participants who are/were just playing a game and some might be considering themselves lucky to be out of it. The testimony to this was given by Mr. Sanjay Nirupam when he reportedly refused to be one of the wild cards to re-enter the house.

The point that I wish to raise and discuss with readers of this post is that don’t you think some of the proceedings of Bigg Boss Season 2 are objectionable. Shouldn’t that be looked into by the respective monitoring authority? Personally speaking, the Bigg Boss has lost control of the leash on his inmates this time around. After all it’s meant to be a family show that can be watched at the dinner table. What do you think?

This episode of Big boss started with a nice surprise, Shajid Khan on a host seat. He invited his sister Farha khan and the episode were looking good till Shilpa Shetty entered the scene. Initially, it seemed that Shajid might be host for the day and it would be good to see him replacing Shilpa aunty.

Payal does not want to clean the dishes because she was concerned about response from her fans and producers watching her doing house cores. Farha described her as “Khaitan” in one word considering her concerns about her Fans. Payal has started appearing in “less cloths and more skin” show recently to lure her fans to vote for her and it worked. She avoided the axe this time by narrow margin, Thanks to her skinny show.

Zulfi, Aalina and Payal declared not out. Fans ditched Ketaki. Ketaki Dave out.

It was surprise to find too many votes for Aalina, being non-celebrity among herds. Rahul, Zulfi, Raja, Ashutosh and Ahsaan were sleeping in day time. Big Boss had warmed them many times before. Big Boss was serious this time and conveyed message to these five gentlemen (??) through Shambhavna to not to break the rules. Big Boss will be conveying punishment on Sunday during nomination process. Everyone seemed to be worried. Rahul and Ashutosh had got warning from Big Boss and may be subjected to nomination this week. Let’s see.

This time four persons got nominated for eviction. Zulfi Syed, Aalina wadiwalla and Payal Rohatgi were nominated by house mates whereas Ketaki Dave was nominated by Raja Choudhary because of his veto power, give by Big boss last week. Raja was leader of the house for one week and had power to nominate one person for eviction.

It was surprise for everyone as they were nominated very first time in this house. Rahul was able to turn the table this time because of his convincing sessions last week.

Shambhavna was convinced that she will be one of the persons this time. Raja and his gang has made mind that Shambhavna will be useful for them in long run.

Ketaki was voted out by Raja because she took Raja by his horns last week while defending Aalina. Please note that she is the only dedicated chef in the house but she cooks Gujarati food more often. She can’t live without Khakhra, another type of Poppadom (Papad or Aapalam). This is the same Poppadom word, which was used by Jade Goody to tell everyone about Shilpa’s sir name.

As part of weekly activity, Bigg boss house has been converted to primary school. More details about this school in next post.

I am not able to find time to update post on a daily basis because of hectic work in my EyeTee company. My lovely EyeTee company make sure that I love (or have to made love) my job for 80 hours per week. Today i like to write about my best TV Reality show “Bigboss”. Bigboss is carbon copy of UK Big Brother TV show. There are 12-14 contestants which locked in big home with all living things. As there are many cameras watching there every moments. Well now Bigboss 2 is running as 1st session is held in 2006 and former bollywood star Rahul Roy is winner of it.

Jade Goddy one the British TV Actress also participating in this season but as her latest medical reports she have cancer so she walked out on 2nd day after entrance.

I personally think the winner will be Ahsaan or may be Alina, but as this is a game of lets see and enjoy it.

I wished yesterday to have some masala in Big Boss Season 2 and here it comes. Big Boss did exactly same thing, what i was looking for. Definitely, this was done to boost TRP because Junta wants to see only masala. Last couple of episodes (or their cameras) are revolving only around Rahul, Rakhi, Monica and Payal. Rest of the folks are probably not doing anything interesting for Big Boss to show.

New love story between Rahul and Monica have been started brewing (No one knows if this is being done only to create interest to save themselves for early eviction). Remember, same sort of story was there in Big Boss Season 1, where Aryan Vaid and Anupama Verma were too close on the set and then everyone knows what happened outside.

Somehow my sixth sense says that all this is artificial. Monica wants to build her career and wants to link herself with someone as popular as Rahul. Rahul wants to keep audience engaged. Payal seems to be ignoring what ever is happening between Monica and Rahul. She shrugs off all complains about Rahul and maintains that it’s his normal attitude. Great attitude, Rahul.

One love story between Sambhavna and Zulfi Syed is almost dead (unless someone rekindle it again). Rakhi thought that there is something between them but Sambhavna made very clear that there is nothing and Zulfi did echo. Rahul is lucky to have two girls on the show and one muhboli sister Rakhi. Anyway, weekly activity got over and they got good budget to eat.

As expected, groups have been formed before 2nd nomination process. This time everyone was having enough time to understand each other. Clearly few groups have been formed. Triangle love story is cooking. Rahul was the star of this episode. HIghlights ….. JI hujoor.

• Rakhi, Monica and Rahul have formed one group and have been found discussing about something (probably nomination process) by Big Boss. Big Boss warned them because they were talking after covering their mike.
• Sambhavna is defensive as she thinks that she will be one of the person to be voted out. She started accusing Rakhi, Rahul and taking Raja and Ashutosh in to confidence.
• Ashutosh has been named as “Lathmaar“ by Rakhi. Why ? Simple yaar. He talks in ‘theth’ Hindi.
• Ashutosh has taken Raja Choudhary and Ahsaan Qureshi in to confidence to vote the weed out. There will be time to vote each other but it will be much later. Shambhavna is more or less in this group only. Ashutosh is going to be next big thing in this show.
• Zulfi, Alina, Payal and Debojit seem to be neutral. Debojit, Payal and Alina are more close to Rahul’s group than other. Zulfi can be found at other end of this rope.
• Considering all this logistics, Rakhi was voted out by 7 participants whereas Rahul gets handsome 5.
• Both were in shock and trying to tell their part of stories so that “naasamajh” junta will not vote them out.
• Rahul has been made Kishan Kanhaiya till Wednesday and Payal will be her Radha. Kishan Kanhaiya and his raasleela would the theme of this week. Lots of interesting rules are part of this game. Lets see how things turn up tomorrow. Till then, Good Night. See ya tomorrow.

Tussle between Shambhavna Seth and Sanjay Nirupam ended in bizarre manner. Unexpectedly, Sanjay Nirupam is out of the show in the very first episode provided that he is very popular personality among Bhojpuri speaking community. Probably Bhojpuri speaking fellow Indians went with Shambhavna Seth on this war of words. Why not ? She is the one who entertains them in Bhojpuri film and now she is entertaining whole nation on Big Boss part 2.

Raja Choudhary heaved sigh as he made come back in the show. He got Shambhavna Seth as trusted friend now. Shambhavna got balls to say that she may slap anyone when angry. We know who she is referring to for this slap mania.

It seems that Shambhavna Seth wanted the truth to come out about Rahul Mahajan and Payal Rohatgi relationship. Because of this, she wanted to know if he loves her. Rahul wanted to avoid this question but on her insistence, he said that she is his friend only and he knows her for last 7 years. Hmmm.

Sanjay dodged same question from Shambhavna about his girlfriends in past. He could understand that things may go under his control on his answer so he decided to make a move before …….

Ration is limited in the house because house members failed in weekly activity.

Secrets have started coming out. Raja and Nirupam do not want to go out of Bigg Boss so early. Girls have started bitching and they are talking ill of other fellow girl participants only. Shanbhavna seems to be interesting character and matches the rona-dhona and drama skills of Rakhi Sawant, Kashmira Shah Item girls (Contestants in earlier Bigg Boss show. Both were very famous for their onscreen and off screen rivalry.

Let’s talk about tussle between Shambhavna Seth and Sanjan Nirupam.

Shambhavna Seth has taken Sanjay’s remarks very seriously. Sanjay had spoken about Shambhavna Seth in last episode in full public glare. He told that he was warned not to participate in Bigg Boss where Shambhavna Seth type of contestants would be there. On probing of “type” remarks, Sanjay slipped few words about her being item girl and doing exposing her body to earn money. Shambhavna got pissed off and mentioned that there is no harm in doing this in entertainment business. Later in the same episode, Shambhavna mentioned (but not shown) about Sanjay remarked about her apt attire and gave reason that it might be because of her earlier comments. Being a shrewd politician, Sanjay could have avoided this controversy. 

Sanjay is aware of all this back biting by Shambhavna and mention this to Big Boss in confession room that she is one of the dirty fish. There might be more among the fellow contestants. Sanjay is giving his judgment as if he is very clean. 

Shambhavna was talking to Raja and doing major rona-dhona and drama about Sanjay’s remarks at 11 PM near swimming pool. Bitching started. No doubt that she was the star of this episode. She confides all these to Raja. 

1. Payal Rohatgi is Rahul Mahajan’s girlfriend (?) but still they don’t talk to each other during the show. (It was one of the news that Payal was the major reason behind Rahul’s divorce with his ex-wife Sweta.
2. They have both playing the game and made groups among men and women. She is very sure that she would be the person for next eviction.
3. Rahul Mahajan’s is a big game planner. He came here to win the game. He speaks only after looking at cameras nearby and covers his mouthpiece when talking ills.

It was about to happen and it comes. Bigg boss and big brother format are always famous for back biting and bitching. Why not and what’s harm in doing this? You are in comfortable jail where you are not even allowed to read books, listening to the song, watch television. All these conditions and constraint will surely make any one to take shelter under the cheapest entertainment of the word, Gossiping. I know there is another entertainment in the world, which is called the cheapest entertainment in the human world but this activity is not allowed with in the premise of Bigg boss and no one can hide this act from cameras. Sanjay Nirupam was the Man of the Episode. Highlights of the fourth episode of Big Boss? Here they come. 

• Monica Bedi tried her level best to get sympathy from audiences. She mentioned that she needs money very dearly. She needs house on rent as no one is giving her a house because of her repo. Sanjay mentioned that he will provide her a house where ever she wants in Mumbai. Obviously, both have to be out of Bigg boss to make this condition true. Wondering how the code/algorithm will look in this case. Please correct me if I am wrong.

• Sanjay also promised to help Eleena in selling one of her relative house in Ahmedabad. Another promise. No code/Algorithm for this one.
• Sanjay asked Shambhavna Seth the reason for dancing in fewer cloths. He wanted to know what pleasure it gives to her. Are bhai? Why are you asking her? Ask Bhojpuri audience if they are getting pleasure or not. Shambhavna was very annoyed and was always discussing this topic only with most of the females.
• Bigg boss warned everyone not to break rules. No one is following weekly activity, which was given few days back. Let’s see what punishment they will receive this time from Bigg Boss.
• Rahul mahajan has to be called emotional dustbin. He goes to every one and wanted to know everyone’s not so good memory of their life. He must be Pisceans. They are the one, who can become dustbin like this.

Bit late for this but it’s better to be late than never.

This episode was having mix feelings. Most of the contestants were enjoying their time at Big Boss house. Everyone was helping Jade in learning Hindi and she was very keen in learning Hindi words, whatever were coming in her way.

HIghlights of Episode 3 were -

Internal Groups have been formed. Girls and boys are usually not mixing in each other.

Monica Bedi and Payal are less visible on camera footage.

As disclosed in my earlier post, Jade was told about her Cancer diagnosis report.

Jade broke down and everyone in the house trying to calm her.

Jade was reluctant in disclosing this news to house mates initially but later informed to Rahul Mahajan on his request.

Rahul told everyone in the house and requested everyone to behave normally.

Jade left the house and mentioned that she will come back if report comes normal.

It’s very sad that Jade has to quit. Not good for Endemol and for Colors channel as well. She was one of the highlight in this show. All other participants are lacking Karisma. They do not want to expose themselves too much. They may open up and bitching and back biting may start very soon.

Jade was called by Big Boss in Diary room late night yesterday and informed that she is diagnosed for Cervical Cancer. Jade was shocked and was in hysterics. She left the show immediately and will be leaving for London soon on Tuesday afternoon. It was shocking news for everyone. She was one of the major attractions for this show. 

Jade Goody had gone through few hospital tests earlier. Let’s pray for her early recovery from this. We will surely miss her.

It was just few hours in the big boss’s house for everyone. Big boss dropped the bombshell by announcing starts of nomination process for this week eviction. Apart from the nomination process, big boss announced activity for this week. Here are the briefs about nomination process and weekly activity. 

• Seven groups of two individuals were formed for this week activity. Jade Goody and Payal are in one group.
• Jade will be out of this week’s eviction (as disclosed in yesterday’s blog in advance) because she is our international guest. Payal will also get same benefit because she opted to form group with her.
• Payal will act as only translator for Jade for English to Hindi conversion and vice versa.
• No one was having any clue or enough time to nominate two persons of their choice for this week eviction.
• As usual, “Jade Goody” was showing drama and emotion (No action) while selecting names for nomination as she was always doing in Big Brother earlier shows.
• Raja Choudhary was nominated by 10 folks (My prediction in my last post is coming true for him.). Sanjay Nirupam got 5 votes. One of these will be out this week.
• As part of this week’s activity, group of two have to tie themselves together using handcuff till Wednesday. They will get relief from this only for 10 minutes per day while using toilet.
• Apart from this, sleep timing for fourteen persons combined can not exceed 100 hours. Only one person can sleep at one point of time. There will be penalty if more than one persons sleep.
• Successful execution of activity will give them double money (budget) for coming week food items else there will be penalty on this budget.
• As usual, bitching has already started among women participants.

Shilpa Shetty made a grand opening of Big Boss season 2 on 17th August and this episode was having limited content, which includes welcoming fourteen contestants, showcasing new house and 2-3 item songs done by few participants. Here is the brief description about contestants, in same sequence as they appear on the show. I will try to update on a daily basis but I will make sure that it is crisp and short.

Quick update: Jade Goody will not be part of first week eviction and she can select one more person from rest of thirteen to avoid nomination. This will make sure that most of the flat mates will be buttering Jade Goody for whole of this week.

Ketki Dave - Television actor. Acted in couple of never-ending soap-operas like “Kyunki Saas bhi Kabhi Bahu thi“. May not go beyond five episodes.

Zulfi Syed - Model cum actor. Acted in couple of movies like “Taj Mahal“. Looks handsome and wanted to earn fame through this platform. Likely survival between 5-10 episodes.

Monica Bedi - Acted in couple of big Bollywood movies but small role. She was caught by the Portugal police with Abu Salem, a terrorist and mafia king. Extradited to India. Was in Indian Jail for long time. Likely survival between 5-10 episodes.

Raja Choudhary – Ex-husband of Shweta Tiwari (Prerana of “Kasauti Zindagi Ki” tele-serial). Was in news as wife beater. Divorcee now. Looks egoistic and male chauvinist. May not go beyond five episodes.

Rakhi Tandon – Acted in couple of tele-serials. Sweaty of “Hum Paanch“. Chirpy but may not last long. Likely survival between 5-10 episodes.

Rahul Mahajan – Son of late Pramod Mahajan, BJP leader. Rahul was in news for the wrong reasons. Initially for taking lethal mix of drugs with friend. Friend died on the spot. Lately for his marriage with a Pilot and then quick divorce. Keen on pursuing political career. Got company of great guru, Sanjay Nirupam, another famous politician. Likely survival between 5-10 episodes.

Sambhavna Seth – Item girl of Bhojpuri Films. Will she be the deadly mix of Ravi Kishan + Kashmira Shah ? May not go beyond five episodes.

Eshaan Qureshi – Stand up comedian, who got famous from Comedy Circus and like. Not sure how he will stand with other contestants like Jade Goody. May not go beyond five episodes.

Eleena – Only non-celebrity contestant and youngest as well. May not go beyond five episodes.

Payal Rohatgi - Acted in few Bollywood movies and known for her steamy scenes.

One of the likely reasons for Rahul Mahajan’s divorce. Likely survival between 5-10 episodes.

Debojit Saha – Winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, song competition for new comers, similar to Pop Idol format. Likely survival between 5-10 episodes.

Ashutosh Kaushik – Winner of MTV Roadies. A Dhabha/Motel owner and Chef. Likely survival between 5-10 episodes.

Sanjay Nirupam – A mature politician and Congress MP. May not go beyond five episodes.

Jade Goody – Written too much about her already. She is arrogant and moody. She doesn’t understand Hindi at all, whereas Hindi would be the official language inside the house. Anyway, she is not her to win this game but to change perception about her. Because of this reason, she will be decent and soft spoken. Let’s see. Surprise Bonus from Big Boss for her. She will not be part of first week eviction.
