Starting from left to right the mural depicts 14 stages of the history of the area; a 13C priory, the arms of the De Bermighams, 16C taverns and coaching houses, the 18C construction of the square itself, the 18C lives of John Wilkes (lock-maker) Sampson Lloyd (banker), Edmund Hector (surgeon) and Samual Galton (Lunar Society and industrialist) who all lived close by. 111 more words
