I”m not quite sure where I picked up this behavior.Maybe its because I get embarrassed so easily,its my way of defending myself. I remember watching the movie 8 Mile with my sister,Jenny,not really wanting to see it, but she was insistent it was something we needed to do.The ending impacted me greatly, Eminem had been so embarrassed through the entirety of the movie of his up bringing.At the end he calls himself out on everything that he felt was an embarrassment to himself,then proceeded to hand the microphone to his opponent,and said”Now tell them something they don’t know.”I found refuge in that.So for over a decade I fee,as though I have been self-sabotaging my self,with only discovering this quite recently. 524 more words
