When we were walking around the side of the factory, we heard some motor bikes coming out of the woods behind us. We quickly ducked into an open doorway, and stumbled into a long dark tunnel filled with these spools. The last incarnation of the factory was the Plasticoid Company, who made wire and high frequency cable, which I’m guessing these spools used to house.
Tucked away in the quaint township of Hamburg, New Jersey, down the street from Granny’s Pancake House, and on the aptly named Gingerbread Castle Road, lies a fairy tale castle straight out of a child’s dream – or it used to be, at least. 2,307 more words
