Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One

Excuse me, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

The title and the absence of an opening crawl are two of the most mind-boggling things about this film. 2,254 more words

Mr. Bobinsky reblogged this on and commented:

"Tucker & Dale vs. Evil". Damn, that was unexpected. I somehow totally missed this movie, so thanks to Zoë. It's neither sci-fi nor horror (at least, not in its traditional form) so I won't write a full review, but it is a hilarious, witty and original horror comedy, well written and acted. Highly recommended for any fan of my all-time favourite "Cabin in the Woods" or "Shaun of the Dead". P. S. By the way... "Tucker & Dale vs. Evil" stars Alan Tudyk of "Firefly" and "Serenity".

My persional recommendation of a good comedy horror would be an Italian film ''Della Morte, Dell'Amore''. It's extremely weird, pretty trashy, full of wry humour and... very funny too.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)

Stuff I really liked about this movie:

1) The racial diversity of the cast. When you utilize representation in media, you revolutionize the intimacy of storytelling and guard it from those who would subvert its meaning to nefarious ends. 639 more words

Moana (2016)

This review has been sat in my drafts for longer then it really should have been.

Moana was the latest in the Disney Princess line but really did move away from the traditional Princess more then ever the Princesses have. 606 more words

Score: 8/10

Wow, simply wow. I wanted a comedy like Moana for a long time and finally Disney delivered. Its fresh, it’s new and it brings a lot of interesting motives to the table. 555 more words

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – 2016

Score: 10/10

Star Wars, perhaps the biggest movie franchise in the history of cinema. And one that has managed always to impress and to bring something new and exciting. 501 more words
