Morehead State University mourns the loss of Dr. Terry Irons

Dr. Terry Irons lost his battle with cancer this week.  Dr. Irons was known for an impressive inventory of sociolinguistic research, including extensive work on the Appalachian English and the Southern Vowel Shift, and a long record of service to the linguistics community.  46 more words
