Spotted Flycatcher (Musicapa striata)

Found yesterday in Balvicar a Spotted Flycatcher (Musicapa striata) nesting in the porch of a members bungalow.  There have been previous records of this species on Seil including Clachan Seil and Kilbride, but this is the first breeding record for Balvicar.

The Narrow-bordered Bee Hawk Moth photographed below was found today, Monday 7th May at Kilbrandon Cottages, Balvicar, Isle of Seil.
