Small Plane Crashes In Faribault County; All 3 Occupants OK

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office says three people are fine after a small plane they were in crashed Sunday evening.

Minnesota counties to get federal disaster aid

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Governor Mark Dayton says a federal disaster declaration has been issued for nine counties.

Following a request from Dayton, President Obama authorized federal assistance for Fillmore, Freeborn, Blue Earth, Goodhue, Houston, Le Sueur, Rice, Steele and Waseca counties to help them recover from heavy rainstorms and flooding on September 21 and 22. 156 more words

Railroad crossing accident in southern Minnesota

BLUE EARTH, Minn. – One person was hurt after a railroad crossing collision in southern Minnesota.

The Faribault County Sheriff’s Office says 24-year-old Justin Elzenga of rural Blue Earth was driving an SUV north on 400th Avenue Wednesday morning when he failed to stop for a railroad crossing stop sign just southeast of Blue Earth and crashed into a railroad maintenance machine. 60 more words
