Vivid at Taronga Zoo

 The Vivid Festival is on in Sydney and will run until the 16th June. Like so many others, Kenn and I traveled to Sydney last weekend  to wonder at the wonderful outdoor lighting sculptures and installations that surround the harbour. 1,005 more words

Plenty of colourful winter blooms in Kings Park at present, including the strange Pouched Grevillea above and striking Darwinia species below.

We caught a bit of sunshine at Kings Park earlier this week, between the showers. The war memorial was looking very impressive.

It’s the early winter here in Perth, but there were plenty of wildflowers in bloom in the botanic gardens, including the iconic red and green Kangaroo Paw above and the smaller pink horticultural variety below.
