I remember where I was when I found out about Kurt Cobain’s death. Like the passing of anyone, it was something that seemed to come out of the blue, although in his case it probably wasn’t as surprising as the death of John Lennon – which I heard about, surrounded by my family, on the news after we’d returned from a day out somewhere – or as stunning as when I heard about the death of Michael Hutchence at a barbecue with some friends, but it was a shock all the same. 730 more words
