Desert Center’s abandoned gas station/cafe from a different perspective. From what I can gather, the gas station itself has been closed for years whereas the cafe was open for business as recently as a couple of years ago. 27 more words

I thought I’d finish off the month with a couple more photos taken in Desert Center, a once-thriving, now mostly-abandoned town that, thanks to its remote location, did quite well providing long-ago motorists with the only food, lodging, gas and car-repair services within a 50-mile radius. 24 more words
