Finding a place to pee at 4,000m

Day 8 - Acclimatisation Day

A second night in Dingboche, to get used to the altitude. The worst weather we had experienced so far – very windy, very unpleasant. An evening walk to the outskirts of town and some night-time photography.


Day 7 - Dingboche (4360m/14304ft)

My favourite walking day. Spectacular scenery and a relatively flat trail. Our first day at above 4000m.


Day 13: Dingboche to Pangboche

Today’s hike, 13th November: distance 6.7km (perhaps more due to GPS errors), elevation 94m, starting altitude 4400m, finishing altitude 3985m
