Spring skiers. They stand out, tanned face with beer can size, oddly shaped, white circles around their eyes, with a big smile spanning their cheeks. A young woman from De Winton has been identified as the victim of a snowboarding fatality in Fernie on Sunday.
Alexa Marie Britt Hugh, 20, was snowboarding with a companion at Fernie Alpine Resort when they entered a permanently closed area above Lizard Bowl that was described as “particularly rugged” in a news release from the B.C. 62 more words
