Why is it that the Bible tells us that salvation is not obtained by our good works? (Ephesians 2:9)
Why is it that someone -cannot- be saved by being a “good person”? 223 more words
No, they don’t.
If a person does not have faith in Jesus, he or she is not saved and is not spiritually connected with God. While this person has a free will and can certainly do externally “good” things, these works are not spiritually good because they do not have their source in God, but rather in the flesh, which is the selfish self-justification of man.
