Remarkably clever blend of airy romantic comedy and deeply unsettling thriller, this French thriller was Audrey Tautou’s follow-up to her star-making performance in 2001′s” Amelie” and it’s a perfect choice, allowing her to purposely give the same performance as in Amelie only with the context turned on its head, exposing the dark side of romantic expressionism, obsessive love and the conventions of romantic comedies amidst various surprises and twists along the way.
