The Long Ridge School

Three Bear Sled Dog Races - 2016

This past weekend 40 Conserve School students headed into Land O’ Lakes for the  Three Bear Sled Dog Races, a true Northwoods experience. This annual weekend of races draws sled dog teams from all over the Midwest, yet has a small-town feel because most of the spectators and officials are Land O’ Lakes (population 861) locals. 244 more words

T-Rescues in Outdoor Skills Class

Early this week students went from theory to practice as they built their t-rescue skills with our canoes on the waters of Big Donahue Lake. A t-rescue is a procedure used to recover a swamped canoe and its canoers. 186 more words
