FCC Issues Consent Decree to Mt. Rushmore Broadcasting, Inc

RAPID CITY, SD – The Federal Communications Commission has come to an agreement with Mt. Rushmore Broadcasting, Inc, owner of six stations in South Dakota and Wyoming, to settle on a $25,000 fine under a Consent Decree for numerous violations, including not having a full-time management and staff presence at the main studio of two of its stations during regular business hours, failing to allow an FCC agent to inspect the stations, operation out of compliance with the station’s authorized parameters, operation of an STL at an unauthorized location and three others without authorization, incomplete public files at four stations, and absence of red obstruction lighting and failure to notify the FCC of a lighting outage. 104 more words
