“இஃதிகாஃப்” என்ற பொதுவான அரபி சொல்லுக்கு “தங்குவது” என்று சொல்லப்படும். மார்க்க அடிப்படையில் நாம் சொல்வதானால், அல்லாஹ்வுக்காக சில நாட்களை ஒதுக்கி, பள்ளிவாசலில் சென்று தங்கி, இறைவனிடம் நன்மைகளை எதிர்ப்பார்த்த நிலையில் இயன்றவரை அதிகமாக வணக்கங்கள் புரிவதை “இஃதிகாஃப்” என்கிறோம்.
