In Clermont

Fri 17  we bade good bye to Clermont at 9 am   Leslie took us to the depot in his auto   we bade Ericson & McNeland Bankers good bye   I bot 2 tickets for CR 3,84 & arrived on time & bot 2 tickets for Ioa City & while eating dinner at the Inter urban Restaurant came a very hard rain   Maybe the hardest I ever saw & hard wind   we got on the interurban & slowly started for Ioa city & the farther the slower til finaly found many trolley poles down & nearly on the track & we turned back to CR & the Co refunded our money & after a good strawberry supper I bot 2 tickets for Ioa City on the CR I&P & arrived near 9   dark & raining   Mother & I started for a hotel with a girl for guide   I carried both satchals & nearly gave out but finally reached the Jefferson   registered secured a good room & went to bed
