Matchday 13 2019 Season Review – Tokyo Verdy 3-2 Avispa Fukuoka

Matchday 13 2019 Season Review – Tokyo Verdy 3-2 Avispa Fukuoka

Verdy got another 3 points in the double home game this time with Avispa Fukuoka, last weekend it was a win over V-Varen Nagasaki, now Verdy got 6 points from the 2 home games now with a win over Avispa Fukuoka at Ajinomoto Stadium, to the game, it was a very early goal for Verdy when some good work on the right hand side of the pitch, the ball was passed into the box, the ball found Kota Watanabe and he passed it to Nemanja Kojic and he shot, the ball deflected off Fukuoka’s DF Kojiro Shinohara and went over the Fukuoka GK Serantes – the ball hit off the crossbar and bounced over the line to make it 1-0 to Verdy but then later on into the first half it was a lovely cross from the left hand side from Naoki Wako – his cross found the head of Donghyen Yang to make it 1-1 but just before half time it was Verdy who retook the lead after another lovely cross into the Fukuoka box and with great control, Junki Koike turned his defender and put the ball into the back of the net to make it 2-1, now into the second half, about 15 minutes into the second half, Verdy got another goal after a cross into the box from Yuta Narawa but was headed into the back of the net by Fukuoka Defender Dujae Won and that made it 3-1 to Verdy but it wasn’t long till Fukuoka got back another goal after a 35-40 yard shot (not quite sure) from Jun Suzuki found Naoto Kamifukumoto unable to stop the goal going in and making it 3-2 now but it was little too late and Verdy claimed the 3 points after a nervy end to the game and Verdy climbed the table a little more towards the top half. 330 more words
