A sad time for one of our oldest and largest clients Longcross going into administration this week.

Every cloud does have a silver lining though and with the masses of new top 100 contractor clients we are bringing on weekly and the 700+ permanent vacancies we have we will be able to help as many as we can in this hard time for those people made redundant, and we have made it a priority to do everything we can for those effected. 55 more words


Longcross 2/3: A return to racing!

Since October, I’ve been trying to regain race fitness. After a 3rd place finish in the road bike category a fortnight ago at the Redhill 18 TT – my first competitive event in 16 months – I was feeling confident that I was able to race once more. 749 more words



It’s Grandparents Day, so here are mine.

I never met my father’s parents as they immigrated to Auckland, New Zealand before I was born. My second brother claims they took one look at him and left the country, but having had eleven children, nine of whom survived to adulthood, they had about thirty grandchildren, and since my brothers and I were well down on the list, he wouldn’t have been much of a novelty anyway. 181 more words


Wilson Poses for a Portrait

Wilson is very hard to photograph… he is usually moving far too quickly, or he blends in with the background.  Nevertheless I persevere, and occasionally in the hundreds of photos of a black blur just leaving the corner of the photo, or a pink tongue in a dark corner, I come across one I am happy with. 47 more words
