Not long afterwards I read this book. Lyndall Ryan mapped the areas where different tribes and bands lived in Tasmania prior to colonisation. She also challenged the myth of extinction and explained the existence of the contemporary Aboriginal community in Tasmania, to outsiders like myself who had no idea how and where the Aboriginal people had survived. 11 more words
