品味咖啡

星巴克指氣候轉變嚴重打擊咖啡豆收成,如果情況持續,咖啡豆供應會出現危機。
看到有關的報道,第一個反應是,要喝好咖啡就要「早喝早享受」了。
本身並非咖啡迷,一杯黑咖啡要我自己加奶加糖的話,最後一定會變成糖奶水,所以一向只會喝已調較好味道的款式。
記得曾去一間咖啡店做訪問,那華裔店主本身於銀行工作,後來因為飲了一杯曾多次獲獎的Geisha品種咖啡,那味道令他決定開設自己的咖啡店Manic Coffee。
採訪當日有幸喝到店主在拍賣會以當時每磅二百元買回來的Geisha咖啡,他先給我喝些sparkling water,然後喝杯普通咖啡,最後才到Geisha咖啡。
最初還擔心自己什麼都喝不出,但一將杯湊近鼻子,已能嗅到與別不同的香味,不單是咖啡香,還有隱隱若若的花香。
輕輕呷了一口,一早已表明不太懂品嘗咖啡的我驚奇地叫起來,「嘩,還以為黑咖啡應該很苦澀及涸喉?」
他滿意地微笑,說待咖啡稍為冷卻後再喝,會發現味道變得不同,後來喝到咖啡味道變得帶點酸,味蕾竟感受到花香及柑橘果香,這兩種在我認知中,和咖啡無關的味道。
完全忘記了自己正在喝黑咖啡,從沒想過咖啡可以像紅酒般,可以有層次感,可以有這樣強的after taste。
那杯咖啡全程用了近半小時去品嘗,雖然它未能令我從此愛上黑咖啡,卻令我對這種文化有新認識。
這次「品味咖啡」的經歷,到現在仍記憶猶新,亦因為這杯靚咖啡,突然覺得和陳豪的距離拉近了不少呢!
