A Wildlife Photographer I Ain't, but...

I won’t pretend to have any aspirations towards being a wildlife photographer, because I simply haven’t the patience. Or the equipment, to be honest. Hence I was caught short when, out the back of my motel room, a paddock-full of kangaroos grazed at sunset, blithely unfazed by the two young hunting foxes pouncing on crickets and field mice around them, watched over by a barely curious Sulphur-crested cockatoo in Halls Gap a few nights ago. 71 more words


A weekend visit

This past weekend my best friend came over to stay. She hasn’t been in ages, so even though the weather looked quite grim (it was awful on the Friday and pretty darned nice the rest of the time) we wanted to make the most of it. 428 more words

We were treated to a beautiful sunset tonight. The clouds were perfect, and the sky eventually went pink then indigo then deep dark blue.

Out walking...
