New Zealand Flax

I have a few feature plants in the garden – this is one of them.  It’s a phormium, or New Zealand Flax.  This one, which has an apricot tinge to the leaves and is called ‘Apricot Queen’, was bought to replace one which I was sad to lose after a severe winter a few years ago, when it was covered with snow and frozen for nearly a fortnight.   17 more words
