Emma Donoghue’s much awarded 2010 novel Room (Picador 2010) is a recent read for me. I saw the wonderful movie of it last year. Having read the book, I think it catches the claustrophobic yet vividly alive world of the five year old child better, because the whole narration is in the child’s voice, and we imagine and live it only through him. 1,003 more words

ROOM, this is going in my top five books as it is fantastic which was a surprise to me as I thought it started off very strange by the way the boy talks about things but as you get further into the story you realise that it is a big part of this book and his life.   128 more words
