We followed the edge of the ice surrounding Ross Island looking for wildlife and saw some Minke Whales and Adelie Penguins. It became decidedly apparent as we cruised along the ice that there was absolutely no chance of us getting into McMurdo Sound so the decision was made to set a course north to Cape Adare. 135 more words
