GW Shakespeare Theatre Company - Save The Arts 2015

Spring 2015, the George Washington University cut the budget of the Music, Theater and Dance Departments, reducing their programs by 50%. Because of the possibility that some professors may be or were in fact let go, and students would no longer have the same oppurtunities to study the perfromance arts, the GW Shakespeare Theatre Company participated in a 24 hours Protest Concert where all different forms of student theater, choir and the arts performed nonstop for 24 hours on campus. 41 more words
