Service Project: Family Promise Setup and take down

In September 2016, Troop 73 helped our Charter Organization, Parker United Methodist Church, to host four homeless families.  Partnered with the Family Promise program, Parker UMC is one of a number of churches and other organizations that provide homeless families a place to sleep and meal for a week at a time, three times a year.  140 more words

Calf Chain 2016

Congratulations to Avery for being the 2016 Calf Chain Recipient.  

Avery was all smiles showing his calf at the NC Mountain State Fair.

Kiwanis Club of Asheville teamed up with 4-H to begin the project in 1946, making it 70 years that the calf chain has provided heifer calves to approximately 200 youths.
