Study: Zebra mussels causing significant changes to Lake Minnetonka’s water quality

Zebra mussels have caused significant changes in Lake Minnetonka’s water quality, according to a study conducted by the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD).

The watershed district has been monitoring the lake’s population of zebra mussels, which are small, fingernail-sized invasive animals that attach to solid surfaces in water, since they were first detected in Lake Minnetonka in 2010. 124 more words
