This image is a couple of months old. I went down to the River Colne in Slaithwaite on a chilly winter’s day. There was a very brief respite from the atrocious weather we’ve had, and the sun was gleaming through the trees, and hit the water all swirly blue and gold, and abstract-looking. 76 more words

Texture Tuesday - Between you, me and the gatepost

Today’s Texture Tuesday image is another from just down the lane. I love this scabby old gate which looks down onto the canal and wanted to take a photo of it which wasn’t ‘just another picture of a gate’, so this is it, complete with rust, lichen, and verdigris, and the old drystone wall gatepost.
