No agreed conclusions - at all

The UN announced earlier today that the 56th Commission on the Status of Women has failed to agree conclusions. This is really very sad indeed and a great and depressing indictment of the international community. 416 more words

No conclusion as yet

We received the news just after 9am EST that the negotiations on the agreed conclusions had concluded on Friday evening with no agreement.

Some member states were willing to continue, others were not so the meeting finished with it all unresolved. 167 more words

Agreed conclusions - long hours ahead

The latest indications are that discussions remain slow and very difficult. Some countries are wanting to water down the text and some even trying to back track on language present in already agreed declarations and resolutions. 130 more words
