After more than three years — of being content with attending the Sunday Service of Victory Malate when I felt like it and passively listening to the preaching, of hearing about the Word secondhand from Pastors and Christian friends, of saying that I want to have an encounter with God but not doing anything bold about it, of trying to set my paths straight only to come back to my old ways with much gusto at the first sign of temptation — I had the conviction to actually go in front and the humility to accept a prayer from a stranger when Pastor Nixon asked for those who wanted to throw out the old self and live a new life. 145 more words
