Chichester, UK: Fatality on a level crossing marks the end of 2014

My First Standard - Newcastle Triathlon 2014

This event was due to be held on the Quayside at Newcastle with a river swim under the iconic bridges and closed city centre roads for the bike and run legs, unfortunately due to some last minute issues the permission for the river swim was removed and the organisers scrambled round to sort out an alternative venue, Woodhorn Colliery might not be the same as the Quayside but it’s a venue with a good history of hosting triathlons and considering their annual event had been removed from the calendar to make way for the Newcastle one the fact that they were able to provide such a fantastic venue at short notice was amazing. 2,146 more words
