Spinning Suffolk, Making Caramels

I ended up getting started on the dark brown/grey Suffolk Cross roving from Semiahmoo Suffolks pretty quickly after finishing my last spin.

Since this fibre has been processed into roving, it is really difficult to spin using a worsted style of spinning, like short forward draw, which is my usual go-to when I’m spinning for socks. 409 more words
